This establishment delivers some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced. The front desk staff were dismissive and unhelpful, and when the manager became involved, the situation only deteriorated further. Their complete lack of empathy, unwillingness to listen, and refusal to accommodate even basic needs make it clear that customer satisfaction is not a priority here. I strongly recommend avoiding this business if you expect to be treated with respect and empathy. Ocean Tumblers Chesapeak.

The place is fine enough but when they close, they still charge you full price for the month. They closed for a week in August then they are closing for Labor Day and I still have to pay full price? So they are missing 20% of their classes for two months and you are still getting 100% tuition? Make it make sense.
Place Seems very money hungry. The instructors don’t really provide much instruction and you have to pay to be involved in the “skills show/recital”. I have never heard of anything like that. It should be included with tuition, especially if tuition is $90 a month. Wish there were more options around here but it is what it is. My kids like it.

My daughter has been going here for a few months and I have nothing but amazing things to say about the facility itself and the staff. My daughter is learning so much and the teachers are really wonderful and engaging. We also had a birthday party here recently and the staff was amazing! They were so kind & helpful! I highly recommend Ocean Tumblers to anyone looking for a safe, clean, and well run gymnastics center!

Edit to add...We have been with Ocean Tumblers for a few years now and just celebrated my daughter's birthday for the second time at this facility. I can not say enough about how much my daughter loves coming here. The woman who decorated for my daughter's birthday party did such an amazing job. You could tell she put a lot of effort into making sure it looked amazing. Everyone at this location is so friendly. My daughter truly enjoys her weekly class!

Absolutely wonderful family friendly staff and facility. The coaches are great with the girls at all levels, my daughter loves the toddler classes. If you are looking for a place to start your toddler or take "mommy" and me classes this is a great place. They were wonderful week after week making each new child feel comfortable and welcomed to the group.

My daughter has been going here for years and they never progressed her, her flexibility got worse and it was almost to the point she didn’t want to do gymnastics anymore because of the coaching and lack of training. They kept her on xcel and personally, I think that program shouldn’t exist and they should focus on trying to push the kids to perfect at an appropriate skill level to begin at a level 2 or 3 and get rid of the xcel program. Fast forward as we have moved to another state, the program is significantly better and my daughter is no longer an xcel and performing and doing very well at a level 3, all because the coaches saw the potential. Although she’s behind for her age she’s doing very well and the coaches are actually pushing her, believing in her and the best part is she wants to go to class because they learn harder things that’s more to her interest. It’s sad that it took us leaving for me to realize that. If you want your daughter/son to increase skill level with a dedicated coach and smaller classes, try pink pearl gymnastics Mrs. Margherita as she was the absolute best and helped my daughter increase her confidence, become more flexible and get her back hand spring in just 3 months of attending prior to our relocation. I loved ocean tumblers growing up as I too was a gymnast but it has drastically changed since Coach Ray is no longer the owner and another thing I hate how if your child is in the xcel program they can’t do private lessons. I recommend coming here as a last resort but if you decide to bring your child just stay on top of the direction you want your child to go in her gymnastics training.

A great setup, with plenty of space and loads of equipment. It's a great place to learn and for the experienced to practice. We've had multiple parties at this location now as well, and the staff is always courteous and helpful.

The coaching is great, but upstairs when the classes are going on little kids are running around like crazy screaming and jumping, very dangerous if someone runs into them or they fall off the bleachers. NO parent or any kind of supervision from the owners at the school. You are unable to even focus on watching your daughter practice.

Couldn't help but notice that my son who just happens to be black wasn't getting the same amount of attention as the other kids in his ninja class who happened to all be white. Often my son was left unattended for longer periods of time than the other kids. I often try to keep a calm and level headed attitude but it's hard not to notice when neglect is happening to your own child.

We've always appreciated the coaches and management team at OT, but the way they have handled the covid situation has truly been above and beyond. They made sure to keep the kids engaged while the building had to be closed and when it came time to open they had thought of everything! The whole process was seamless and made me feel completely comfortable. The smiles on the kids faces were priceless :)

We love Ocean Tumblers! We have been taking two of our girls for three months now and we love it! Miss Nina is our instructor and she is seriously the best!!! The class sizes are perfect and the equipment is clean and facility is stunning. The employees we have interacted with are just sweet as pie. I truly enjoy taking my girls here as much as they enjoy coming. If you have anyone interested in gymnastics I highly recommend Ocean Tumblers in Chesapeake.

The facility is Clean, spacious, and well kept. Majority of the staff is kind and friendly. But there is always One bad seed to ruin the Apple. Pam... the front desk personnel is the rudest human to ever be employed there. It's like meeting a Beautiful person but their Personality makes them ugly... that's what Pam does to Ocean Tumblers Chesapeake gym!

Potential family new to the area looking for a gym for our daughter. Stopped in without her just to take a look around. There were a lot of girls practicing and several parents both upstairs and downstairs watching. Very nice looking and new gym, but incredibly rude and what seemed very unorganized front desk personnel, not to me directly, but to a parent that had some questions. Not really a great welcoming feeling. No one acknowledged me or anyone that was walking in or out with even a simple smile.
Very disappointing.

Compared to the other gyms in the area - this one is the best. Clean, organized, large, quality equipment. Coaches are motivated and professional. The viewing room for parents is great! Not distracting for the gymnasts or coaches but great view of the gym for parents.
I just wish they’d offer more classes for girls trying to make the team. It’s hard to move up levels with only one class per week. It would be nice if open gym was free for members as well.
