From the moment you walk in, there's an immediate sense of calm and focus that I haven't experienced anywhere else. The space is thoughtfully designed, and it truly sets the tone for a mindful, restorative workout. All of the instructors I've had, are not only incredibly knowledgeable but also attentive and encouraging. I especially appreciate the smaller class sizes, which allow for personalized attention and proper form corrections, something that makes a huge difference in progress and safety. I always leave feeling stronger, more aligned, and mentally refreshed. Couldn’t recommend enough!!!

I bought my mom and I semi-private lessons from Old Town Pilates for Mother's Day – and it was seriously the best gift ever! Katie was so intentional and thoughtful as she was instructing us. My mom and I have different ability levels, and Katie was able to offer modifications so we both got the most out of our workout! She was super encouraging and so so fun too! Of course, the fact that the studio is absolutely stunning (and comes with a free coffee bar!!) made it a 12/10 experience. Highly recommend!!

I hesitantly sent a note early in the year wondering if Pilates was right for me and how one would even get started. Ellen joyfully shepherded me through a couple private lessons to get up to speed and I haven’t looked back. Body type, age, injuries—no matter what you throw at them the instructors are experts in making sure our class experience is happy, safe, and challenging. The community is diverse and welcoming—I always leave OTP feeling better in both my body and mind. 💙

I bought the private intro pack and have loved my sessions! The studio is cute and clean and my instructor, Ellen, has been super welcoming and helpful with her cueing and modifications. The studio is small, but that just means the instructors really make sure you’re doing everything correctly. I can’t wait to try out their group classes soon!

I love this studio so much that I drive from Navy Yard to Old Town a couple times a week to take the intermediate/advanced classes with Katie and Ellen! The classes are challenging but leave your body feeling good, and there is a true sense of community amongst the clients and instructors. Cannot say enough positive things about OTP.

I absolutely love this Pilates studio! Every instructor here is amazing—knowledgeable, supportive, and always creating such a welcoming environment. Melissa’s classes, in particular, are incredible. She has such great energy and always knows how to challenge you in the best way possible. Whether you’re a beginner or advanced, this studio is the perfect place to build strength and feel rejuvenated. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a top-notch Pilates experience!

Old Town Pilates is THE place to go if you're wanting to start pilates have never done it before. It's also the place to go if you want smaller class sizes, an always clean studio, airy aesthetic vibes, and classes tailored to your skill level. From basic fundamentals, sculpt and fusion classes, to advanced/intermediate level classes, there is something for everyBODY.

My favorite part of this studio (besides Fizzy Fridays and free coffee) is that the instructors help you find your strength even if you have old injuries or just need modifications because you slept wrong that day. There's not often a class I go to that doesn't start with "how is everyone feeling today?" or "does anyone have any specific requests?"

The smaller class sizes means the instructors are all watching out for you, to make sure you aren't moving in ways that create injuries. Trust me, start here ... You'll never leave!

My husband and I started taking semi private classes and switched to group classes. The instructors are well trained and help me with modifications due to health issues. So inclusive and caring. Can't recommend this place enough. The owner welcomes feedback and is often at the studio. The app makes it so easy to schedule and work around my work travel.

Love this studio! The teachers are amazing coaches and the group classes feel almost private because so much care is given to each student. The studio is clean and airy, and they keep the reformers in excellent condition. Everyone is so kind, it felt inclusive and welcoming to both new and advanced students.

This is the best studio in the DMV <3

I joined Old Town Pilates Studio earlier this year as part of my New Year's resolution, and it has honestly been one of the best decisions I’ve made for myself! I’ve always struggled to stick with fitness routines, but this studio changed everything. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and supported. The atmosphere is so positive and uplifting, which makes me look forward to every class. Not to mention, the studio is BEAUTIFUL. There is also a cute little coffee & tea bar!

Physically, the changes in my body have been amazing. My posture is noticeably better, my core strength has improved significantly, and I feel more flexible and balanced than ever before. I also love how Pilates has enhanced my overall mind-body connection—I leave each class feeling calm and energized, which has been such a boost to my daily life.

The instructors are truly the heart of this studio. They’re not just knowledgeable but also incredibly encouraging and attentive. Whether you’re a beginner or more advanced, they meet you where you are and provide modifications or challenges that help you grow. Their passion for Pilates shines through in every class, making it a truly personalized experience.

If you're thinking about trying Pilates or looking for a studio where you can truly feel at home, I can't recommend Old Town Pilates enough. It’s been an absolute game-changer for my fitness and well-being!

I truly love this place!

Old town Pilates is by far the best classic reformer Pilates studios in the area. The class sizes are small and the teachers are superb and are right there with you. The studio is absolutely gorgeous, every little detail thought through. I look forward to my class each week. I have been taking classes with Katie for over 10 years and not only is she a master teacher her heart is in it too. She cares about her students and their growth.

Katie is an A+ pilates instructor, her studio is gorgeous, clean, and light-filled, and the equipment is top notch. We researched all the options in Old Town before starting with Katie 1.5 years ago and couldn’t recommend her and Old Town Pilates more!

Iv'e been looking for a pilates studio close to where I lived and magaged to find Old Town Pilates. I have taken some reformer pilates clases and mat pilates but didnt find one that I wanted to take long term untill I stublemed upon Old Town Pilates. As soon as I walked in I was greeted with a studio that looked like it jumped out of a magazine. I adore Katie and her studio, Ive been taking her private appratus session, shes great at what she does and is a great communicator and so encouraging. Although the parking situation isnt amazing in the heart of old town I really love the experince she has and honestly the aesthetic of the studio itself.

Signing up for a class is easy on thier website or using the glofox app. If you are looking for a classical apporach to reformer pilates or have some time you should definitely stop by.
