I love this gym and the swimming pool, I've been coming for years.

It's usually pretty quiet, so you can listen to your own music or audiobook. And the staff and other members are friendly and welcoming.

I'm only leaving because I'm moving away.

I can say with confidence that Onelife Fitness-Crystal Park club located in Arlington, VA offers an experience different from any other sport clubs.
The facility is spectacular. It is a professional-grade complex with friendly and knowledgeable staff providing exceptional customer service. The equipment is well maintained, the gym is very clean and during peak hours there are plenty of machines to use.
The community here is incredible—everyone is so supportive, encouraging, and welcoming. From the trainers to the members, there’s always a positive vibe that makes working out something I look forward to.
Personal trainers are fantastic, they are very supportive, provide personalized attention, and help members achieve significant improvements in strength and fitness, even reducing chronic pain :) I highly recommend this club!

I am a long-time member of One Life. My daughter, husband and children Thea (14) and Tom (11) visit us from Germany during the month of August each year. They love to come to the pool at One Life Crystal Park. The children learned how to swim at One Life over 8 years or so! Now they both swim on a team at home in Germany. What fun it is to swim at One Life!!

I had an excellent experience with Virginia when signing up at One Life Fitness. She was professional, friendly, patient while maintaining a big smile on her face. Her positive attitude and genuine care made me feel welcomed from the start. I highly recommend asking for Virginia if you’re considering joining, she truly goes above and beyond!

I highly suggest becoming a member of Onelife Fitness Crystal City. The staff is super supportive and friendly. There is a diverse collection of equipment- for every type of workout. I take the yoga and cycling classes and I always walk away feeling like I had a great workout. Great training staff to choose from.

This location is fine. Definitely feels like a commuter gym due to its size and equipment available. It has a great pool and everything you'd need to get a decent work out in. I only think there's 2 areas they could improve upon. First is the amount of trainers on the gym floor. This gym is way to tiny to have 7 different trainers doing a session at the same time. Feels like they are taking up half the gym. Second is the front desk associates may be the most disgruntled employees. Rarely will you get a word out of them or any form of decent customer service. Otherwise, this gym is convenient and gets the job done for a quick and sufficient workout.

Next week I will have my 200th training session with (James) Eliot Hyche at Onelife Fitness - Crystal Park, in Arlington, Virginia. The fitness center is in what is rapidly becoming the Amazon.com-friendly hub of high-tech businesses in Crystal City, Virginia (which straddles both Arlington and Alexandria VA). My purpose in working with Eliot was straightforward: I retired after 45 years as a lawyer and judge and needed to gain the resilience needed to meet the travel challenges of my retirement.

Eliot has been an amazing trainer. In 30-minute workouts two days a week, Eliot has introduced me to the essential exercises that focus on balance, range of motion, agility, and upper body strength. With the Onelife Fitness Center's platform of equipment and space, I've learned how to work with hex bars, kettlebells, dumbells, barbells, medicine balls, resistance bands, TRX equipment, and free weights safely and effectively.

As a new-comer to the fitness experience, I have learned with Eliot’s help how to manage my time in the gym to get the most out of a 30-minute workout. Eliot emphasizes how to properly set up for each exercise - to move safely and confidently through a series of different routines that never get old. What's been most impressive is Eliot's range of knowledge about how each exercise set affects the body. His more than nine years of experience has given him useful insight into how each kind of exercise can address goals - like improving balance, strengthening key physical functions, and losing weight while maintaining a balance that takes into account protein intake, calorie monitoring, and life affirmation.

This training is goal-oriented. After I retired, I sought out polar expeditions offered by Quark Expeditions, in both Antarctica and in the Artic Ocean. These expeditions come with a level of risk that few voyages pose: each day the itinerary includes boarding a Zodiac – a military-grade 10-person outboard motor-driven rubber pontoon raft that carries us from ship to shore. If a wave breaks wrong (or if Orcas attack) the ten of us who are passengers on the Zodiac will have seconds, not minutes, to try to get back to the Zodiac. This requires balance, resilience, and upper body strength. Over the past three years, Eliot has guided me to where I have the strength, resilience, and upper body strength needed for these expeditions.

Among the skills Eliot brings to the table is his engaging outlook: he remembers what we've studied, offers well-informed exercise alternatives when I reach limits due to my age and abilities. He's friendly, supportive, easy to understand, takes excellent notes about the progress I'm making, and is clearly comfortable in the trainer's role. He's also been great at scheduling and re-scheduling and knows the resources of the Crystal Park Onelife Center (including its outstanding salt-water lap pool). Not once has he been late for a scheduled training session; not once has he had to cancel a session.

I've had trainers before and was concerned about starting a training program with a trainer at OneLife. They’re not inexpensive.

I got lucky with Eliot - he's the real deal. Over the course of the last three years, I've gained confidence in working out on my own. I've lost ten percent of my body weight, reduced my blood pressure, seriously improved my LDL cholesterol score, totally removed all (like 100 percent) of plaque in my coronary arteries, and gained a new appreciation for watching my food intake.

This year I'm planning my sixth and seventh polar expeditions - after exploring Antarctica for the second time last year I'll be joining a Quark expedition to the Northwest Passage, and then a Quark expedition to the east coast of Greenland later this year. With the improved balance, upper body strength, and resilience that I've gained through this training, I think I'll be ready for the Zodiacs exploring the High Arctic.

I signed up for a free one-day trial pass and never received it. Instead, I got an email from the assistant manager, Karsten, pushing me to schedule a tour. I replied asking for the pass I was promised. She claimed it might be in my spam folder—it wasn’t. When I followed up again and asked her to just send it directly, she suddenly claimed they didn’t have permission to contact me—after already emailing me five times, including once to ask me to subscribe to their mailing list.

I asked to be connected to the general manager, but was told they wouldn’t be available at all in the coming week.

This was clearly a bait-and-switch. They advertise a free pass, then use it as a hook to push high-pressure sales. They also require a phone number to sign up—thankfully, I gave a fake one, or I’d probably be getting spam calls too.

It feels dishonest, scammy, and deliberately misleading. I never got the “free” pass. Just a lot of spam and sales tactics. Hard pass.

Decided to hit the gym on my break from work and gave this place a shot so called “signature” location . One of the most depressing gyms I’ve ever experienced . I’ve been to 3rd world gyms better than this place. The equipment is outdated they don’t even have an incline bench , the sauna is shut down and not working and I tried taking a hot shower the hot water wasn’t working lol you can barely even ask anyone a question since they are busy training 80 year olds in every corner of the gym. The lady in the front desk is clueless about equipment. GOOD LUCK NEVER AGAIN. Thanks for letting me workout for free :)

Giving this one star because of my customer service experience. I highly recommend going to other gyms. After enduring some issues in my life that led to me having to move short notice— this gym still charged me for another month and hit me with the “it’s in the contract” excuse. Absolutely abysmal customer service. For someone who is on a budget and just experienced an unexpected move, this behavior is highly disgusting. Sign a contract at another gym. I will never visit another onelife again, and for the price I’d suggest you might as well join planet fitness in pentagon city since it’s open 24/7.

Onelife Fitness gym is conveniently located near me and offers most of what I need for my workouts, although it lacks some equipment variety. Keep an eye on your session bookings; I had an issue with a rescheduled session not being updated in their system, which is why I had to clarify that I did not have the session. It got sorted out eventually, but caused a bit of stress. Trying different trainers is a good idea for personalized training. It also offers pool training, which I'm planning to try. Overall, it's not the largest gym, but an effective place to break a sweat.

One thing the DMV doesn't lack are choices when it comes to gyms. My go to is Onelife Fitness in Crystal City. This is a gym that definitely grows on you the more you go. The staff and the members make it feel like your favorite neighborhood hangout.

Gyms in the area have struggled to regain their footing post-Covid, but Onelife hasn't missed a beat. In fact, the amenities we enjoyed prior to Covid and post-Covid haven't diminished. This gym offers towel service, hair dryers, toiletries, ironing boards, etc. Couple this with a vast array of equipment for strength training and/or cardio, a salt water pool, cardio theater, and housekeeping staff to keep the facility looking good...what more can you ask of a gym.

All-around it is a fun gym to workout at and that is close to the Metro, VRE, and walking distance to many spots in Crystal City and plenty of parking right under the gym.

Stop by and visit with us...try us out and then join us.

This is the worst OneLife Fitness location in the DMV area. DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU WANT TO GET A GOOD WORKOUT IN YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED. I came here to workout and had an allergic reaction that sent me to the emergency room within 5 minutes of being in this gym from the chemicals the cleaning staff used. They clean very close to you while you’re working out or in the locker room changing you will be inhaling toxic chemicals that will put your health at risk. I broke out in hives, and my face swelled up immediately. I reported it to
Management and they did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. After I recovered I decided to give the gym another chance. I signed up for a yoga class and they schedule it the same time as a spin class with loud music in a room adjacent to the yoga studio. I reported it to management and was told it’s only a 30 minute overlap and next time they will try to
turn the music down. Instead of just rescheduling the spin class to begin and end 30 mins before the yoga class starts so it doesn’t clash. The gym is TINY! The personal trainers take up all the space there is when they train their clients. Unlike other gyms that have designated training areas for that reason. The gym is already small with limited equipment and the little bit of space there is always is being occupied by the personal trainers. Back to the cleaning staff. The gym closes at 9pm on weekdays and the cleaners decide that it’s a good time to mop the locker room floor at 8:30pm. I slipped multiple times and they don’t think it’s anything wrong with mopping during a time
Period when people will be walking on the wet floor putting them at risk. Instead of just waiting until the gym closes and clears out to mop. Every time I brought these issues to management they have an excuse or justification for why they do what they do and they don’t care about their customers. They only care about the personal trainers and their clients.

Gym equipment and spaces are always clean and generally available with minimal wait. Classes are also generally available with minimal head notice and are a great added value. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the EV charging in the garage. OneLife will cover the first 2.5 hours of parking and its free on the weekend and after 4pm. Showers could use some attention as there are opportunities to make them cleaner and generally upgrade some of the older finishings that have gathered grime over the years. Love the fact that the gym has a pool. Lifeguards are incredibly nice and welcoming.

The OneLife in Crystal City is my neighborhood gym and I have been a member for approximately 3 years. It is a relatively small gym with standard equipment but does have a pool if that is your thing. The evenings are always crowded, which makes sharing equipment the norm. Mornings aren’t too bad. The best part of the gym are the people: Oscar, Amanda, Steve, Caroline, Santos, and Rodney. They always greet you by name and make the gym just a little more than a place to get a workout in.

I am currently in the area short term for work and needed a new gym home for the time being. I can’t sing its praises enough! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the friendliest staff who are always ready to assist with a smile. The facility is very clean and well-maintained, with a wide array of equipment that caters to all fitness levels and preferences.

One of the highlights for me is the lap pool, jacuzzi, and sauna - the perfect trifecta for relaxation and post-workout recovery. Whether I’m swimming laps, unwinding in the jacuzzi, or detoxifying in the sauna, I always leave feeling rejuvenated and refreshed.

Do not get a membership here. Their billing practices are sketchy and they are difficult to break from. I froze my account with them and they reopened it without telling me and kept charging me a month later after I cancelled all together. I HAVE to gush about how much I like this gym. I’m visiting from out of town, and though the price is a bit steep for a week pass, that is my only complaint. The equipment is great, the facilities are clean and what sets it over the edge is the amazingly nice staff. I must have called the poor girl at the desk 7 times because I always get confused and lost in cities and she was patient, understanding, and helpful each time. When I came in she even greeted me with “glad you made it!” And other staff members (trainers I think) walking around hyping ppl up during their workouts, very nice. Recently, I found the swimming pool quite crowded, and thought I would have to wait a long time for a lane. However, Steven, the lifeguard on duty, and Olya, another lifeguard who was giving a lesson, were very helpful. They explained the situation clearly, then arranged for another lesson to move over and alerted me when a lane was opening. As a result, I had a very fine workout. I really appreciate their efforts, at a time when their jobs are more difficult because of needing to guard against COVID.

They decided to implement a full mask wearing policy. No notification until arriving at the club. I didn’t bring a mask. They offered to sell me one which is of course a bit insulting at such an expensive gym, but even if it wasn’t I don’t take my wallet to the gym. I asked why I needed a mask as I had been to the gym many times before without one. They stated it was always the requirement since COVID started which was a straight up lie. They later admitted this and walked the statement back. I asked to wear a towel as a mask as I did not have time to return home to get one. Nope. Not good enough. Asked to leave so I did. Good riddance to poor customer service.

The worst experience ever! I would never recommend this club to anyone. The staffs on site are friendly and helpful, but the their customer service is just a nightmare. I am writing my personal experience to prepare potential customer for a very rude customer service when you communicate with them via email or call.

The club closed until mid June when they restarted to charge the membership fee. It was at the very end of their long email that they stated "all memberships will be reactivated" without customers' consent.

This is okay, but the way they react to the membership cancellation in the COVID period and they way they respond to their customer was miserable. Half of the facilities are closed, including pools and basketball courts. I decided to cancel my membership on July 2nd, two weeks after the gym reopened. I asked for refund of July membership fee and part of June if possible. Besides the safety concerns, the limited facilities were not worth the money I paid. But their customer service associate reacted only by saying that "per the cancellation provisions of your membership agreement, your membership will be cancelled as of 8/31/2020". I will need to pay for the next two month only for limited facilities under huge safety risks! I then wrote several emails explaining why it is reasonable to refund July payment, but they never respond to my concern except repeating the same policy clauses. Please, I paid my money for all the facilities and a safe environment to work out, not risking my life to use only half of the facilities!!!

If that is not enough, the following call was completely unbearable. After their long silence on my emails, I decided to give them a call. I explain my safety concerns and the limited services to one of their associates. The associate was super impatient, only to repeat that not only she will not refund for July, but she will continue to charge for August because this is the policy. Then I asked to speak to someone who can help with my concern, she rudely said that she was not able to help and it was not her duty to address my concerns. When I tried to explain why the policy was not reasonable in this context and asked to speak to someone, she rudely hang up on me. The whole conversation was only less than 5 minutes, and all I know is "there is no one to help, no one is welcomed to file a complaint". Otherwise, be ready to be hang up!

I just joined this gym this week. Good variety of equipment, fairly clean, and not too crowded. Be warned, though, there is an additional 50 dollar annual fee that they charge every April for “equipment maintenance.” They didn’t bother to mention this until I was signing the contract (which they also tried to describe as “sort of a contract.”)

After touring the facility and gathering what I thought was the full rate info, I decided to agree to the contract and went back the next day to join. I was very turned off by the surprise fees. Just be honest with your prospective clients. Here’s hoping this is the only surprise disappointment I encounter in the next 12 months.

After one year having tried the basic membership and then a more 'robust' package including the personal training, I can definitely recommend this gym also to those who look for professional bodybuiding. Even if most reviews recognize the quality in the other areas, I found a very professional consulting and personal training to exactly get the results I am looking for. The sauna is not unisex as somebody reported and never crowded. The pool is very popular in some moments of the day. Locker rooms are in acceptable conditions even if too many lockers are 'booked' and sometimes it is hard to find a spot. Toilets could receive more attention.

Please educate your staff on the difference between a sauna and a steam room. I was told there was a steam room when I called. There is not. Also, you should probably mention that the sauna and hot tub you do have are UNISEX unlike at other clubs. Also, don't know why I was told there's free parking at the garage across the street if you validate. I validated and it was not free (I was only parked for 15 min) - I even called the parking attendant telling her the situation and she didn't even seem to know what Sport and Health was.

Fantastic experience working with the Crystal Park Sports & Health folks. My initial greeting with Daphne could not have gone better. She connected me with Valeria who graciously showed me around the gym while letting me know of all the amenities available to me at Sport & Health. After arranging a one week membership, at a very reasonable rate, I promised to return the following day for my first workout. My experience the next day was even better. Finding every piece of equipment I needed for an exceptional workout I worked with Rodney, Carey and Virginia to make my visit unforgettable. Lastly, meeting and talking with Ms. Curry on my way out solidified my resolve to only ever workout at Crystal Park Sports & Health when I visit the DC area.

I was very disappointed by the way in which Sport&Health Crystal City handled my membership. I spoke to a membership rep at the very beginning when I was signing up for a short term, 2 month membership and was told my options and told to go with the 12 month membership and cancel the day I was moving out, so that I would get a lower rate per month. This was advised to me by the person working at Sport&Health who signed me up. However, when I followed those instructions exactly and cancelled a few days before moving out of Crystal City, I was told that I needed to cancel a month earlier and that I was being charged for an entire extra month even though I would not be remotely close to CC or DC anymore. Not only did I feel duped by both the representative I spoke to in the beginning and the cancellation services rep that I spoke to at the end, but as a customer my calls were never returned, nobody spoke to me on the phone about my situation, and emails were not responded to in a timely manner. It is a solid facility, but I was extremely disappointed with the customer service that Sport&Health provided me and advise against choosing S&H - there are many clubs out there that provide great facilities and great customer service.

Love Sport& Health yoga classes, all the teachers are amazing, my favorite yoga instructors are Colleen, Erin, Conni and Jana. They have truly helped me with my balance, strength, flexibility and have reduced my daily stress significantly. Pilates class are also super well taught by Sarah (who brings the laugh and the sweat) and Erin (who is awesome too), they give you always options according to your level and also challenge you to try your best! Will definitely keep coming!

I have really enjoyed working out here since I joined. Primarily joined because of their swimming pool but the clases that are offered are wide in variety and are pretty awesome! Showers and nice and clean. Swimming-pool is nice, wish it was a little deeper but it works and there is hardly any wait to get a lane. Ask for their promotions. There is also garage parking that is free after 5 in the weekdays that is very convenient.

I was visiting the neighborhood and had to use a restroom. The desk clerk told me that only members were allowed to use the restrooms. I pleaded with him, telling him I was going to pee on myself if I couldn't use their restroom. He didn't budge.
What he didn't know is that I just left their Capitol Hill location and intended to join. Not anymore.
Was denying someone the use of a toilet really worth missing out on immediate and future membership dues?

Very nice gym with an excellent Pilates class - Erin is fantastic! Always clean, it's just a hassle to have the sauna by the pool and not in the locker room. Staff is friendly. (PS don't waste your time trying to call them on the phone, their system is not customer friendly)

I just love this gym. It is clean, well maintained, was upgraded a few years ago to have a real spa-like feel, and and offers options for whether you want to work out alone or in a group fitness setting. I enjoy the theater room with exercise equipment where you can immerse yourself in a movie and move from various pieces of equipment. This really passes the time! The pool is very clean and offers water fitness classes, swim school, and lap swimming. I like that this isn't an enormous gym. It's friendly and non-intimidating. Underground parking is free on weekends and evenings, and the club will validate parking.

Far better than the other installation that used to be at the other end of Crystal City - I only use the shower and locker room - both of which are very well kept. Can't speak for the gym or pool, as I've never stepped foot in that part of the club.

This was my gym for a year or so before I moved into DC from Crystal City. They have 2 squat racks, 3 benches, lots of free weights, tons of cardio equipment, a pool, a cycling studio, a steam room, large locker rooms, and an area for fitness/yoga classes. The staff was always helpful and the facilities were always clean. Though this place is more expensive (almost twice as much per month) than LA Fitness just down the road, the better equipment and smaller customer numbers make it then better option.

I love this gym and everyone who works here. They are so friendly & welcoming to newcomers. It's pretty big inside & they have a lot of free weights which I prefer. If machines are more your thing, they also have an ample selection of those. There's also a swimming pool, hot tub, & sauna downstairs. What more could you want?

This club has been heavily used for several years in the Crystal City area and with the current renovations almost complete this club will be a real star. The upstairs area is about done and new cardio zones and weight rooms will enable users to focus on their workouts entirely.

Visited the facility on Wednesday, 26 June 2012 and the glass walls are in place, new cardio center is operational and the cycling room will be done next week. Locker rooms are extremely nice as is all of the new weight equipment. The folks of Sport & Health should be pleased with the new layout and folks in the building are talking about how nice it is. Stop by to at least take a tour and perhaps enroll.
