Coaches are fine, most of them motivational. They don’t regularly clean the equipment or floors. No reason I should have clumps of hair around the bench or buildup of black grit on the rower straps being the first class in the morning. They keep changing their hours which isn’t convenient for anyone. Actively looking for other options. I do appreciate their constantly changing workouts, but that’s about it.

I booked a private class for my work team as part of our offsite/team bonding conference. We had a blast and felt well taken care of from organizing the class to getting set up and getting in a great, fun workout. Only 2 of our 20 person team had ever been to OTF (we had a wide array of fitness levels), and we had great instruction to guide us through the class and make us feel comfortable. Hats off to Brian and Meghan for making this such a great experience!

Not fun when classes are full due to insufficient equipment. Coaches are not always attentive which can and has led to injuries on my part. Worse yet, when trying to cancel due to said injuries they’ll try to squeeze every last drop out of you. If you cancel with them, dont sign anything and just tell your bank to cancel it. Much easier that way

I've had an incredible experience at Orange Theory Carlyle! The vibe is energetic, the music is on point, and the coaches, especially Brian, Morgan, and Katie, are fantastic. The classes are fast-paced and challenging, but the motivation I feel keeps me going. Bryan's follow-up call was a pleasant surprise – he answered my questions, encouraged me to stay committed, and genuinely hyped me up. The combination of great workouts and supportive coaches makes Orange Theory Carlyle a top-notch fitness destination. Highly recommended!

I was totally wrong about Orange Theory.
I never really was into the hype of orange theory because I thought that’s all it was: hype.
BUT I tried a free class that was strength based and Jackson from OT Kingstowne subbed for the class - I loved it! I prefer strength workouts so I went for that one but they also included a little cardio too.
I’m not a super fan of how you exchange places in the middle of a workout and don’t have your own set of weights throughout the whole workout but not enough to dislike this place. Everyone was great, and I would 100% return.

I love this Orange Theory the coaches are the best they really motivate you and play fun music I came here in the morning classes consistently for 9 months and lost 41 pounds. I’ve visited many OTFs around the area and this one is definitely special! From the moment I walked in, first time member visit clipboard was ready with my name on a sign along with highlighted areas to sign on the forms. Coach Guy provided a good balance of guidance and motivation. The entire OTF team at this location greeted and made everyone feel welcome. They even had cupcakes for another members birthday. Will definitely be back, thank you!

I’ve been going to OTF for 5 years now and I really like this location- the instructors are great as is the staff…. After 5 years I am still being challenged with each class!!! No joke-it’s amazing how strong my heart rate is and I love the endurance classes- they are so helpful in keeping healthy!

They aren't as repetitive day to day like some other types of programs. I like the enthusiasm that the coaches bring in addition to the encouragement they give. I also like how they challenge you to lift heavier or increase your incline or tread speed. Coach Cory and Coach Liz are awesome as well as the front desk staff. Everyone is friendly and encouraging!

I originally signed up to get started working out and when you sign up they are very nice and they also mislead you. I was told this gym has no commitment and I can just "end my membership whenever I want". I wasn't told I would have to pay an extra month for no reason and its expensive. I am required to pay around $120. As you know the contracts are always long, but I did read through it and I did not see anything about having to pay an extra month to cancel. In addition, the lady at the desk did not even offer to rank down my membership level for the last month--which is supposedly and option that can be done at any time---and would save me $70 at least.
I worked out here for 3 months or so. I liked the music and the instructions were generally easy to follow. But for some reason they decided to start making the classes "more challenging" and every class was "more challenging". Basically what that means is that now over half the class is just squats. Its one of those exercises that if you keep repeating the wrong way you are going to injure your knees... I'm not in shape to do squats for half an hour straight, so I guess the class is not for me.
In addition to that, they claim the have free parking and its really just two parking spots in the corner of some garage--clearly not for an entire class. So parking on the street adds another $2-$3 per class to the already exorbitant costs and penalties. If you forget the heart rate monitor that you have to buy for $120 from them, then if you borrow their heart rate monitor they charge you $10. When I first signed up I was also told that if I have to change a class within the same day then I am allowed the courtesy to do that, all I would have to do is call in. Well, I did and they did not honor their promise.
I also stopped going because of smell. This is not a cramped space, but you are closer to people than you usually would be since covid. Some of the people who come to this class smell ba-a-a-dly. It is loud and nauseating. I am not sensitive to smells and I hardly notice them, so it was bad. But what is worse is that sometimes an instructor shows up that didn't bother using a toothbrush in the morning.
They get zero stars in my book because lying and being dishonest and misleading people is no way to run a business. And the girl at the front desk could have at least offered to step down my membership for the last month but taking $ is more important...

She’s always prompt and understanding when it comes to my questions or concerns. She’s a really good asset to the Carlyle Orange Theory location.

This OTF location is fantastic. I’ve been going to OTF for five years and have been to at least 10 studios. This is one of the best.
Pros:
-Studio layout is spread out so there is plenty of room.
-Two doors to enter the workout space means you aren’t cramped or bumping into people when entering or exiting class.
-Staff is super friendly (after two visits the head coach had learned my name).
-Coaches are enthusiastic and cheering people on throughout class (I’ve taken classes from three coaches so far and all have been like this).
-the coaches are paying attention and offering corrections throughout class, not just glorified stopwatches calling out times.
-Head coach Liz is accessible and ready to answer questions or go the extra mile to make sure class is outstanding!
Cons:
- I haven’t found any yet.
This studio is well run and definitely worth a visit.

Fantastic workout, I’ve done it for almost 3 years with great results in my running and lifting abilities. This is around the 40th OTF studio I’ve worked out in, and I am happy to have OTF Carlyle a block from my apt and to call it home for the foreseeable future. Coach Liz and Coach Corey are wonderful instructors, and the ladies that work the reception area always greet you with a smile and a kind word. I highly recommend beginning your fitness journey here!

I had a great “first time” experience at this location. The staff was warm and welcoming. They gave me all the information I needed to have an awesome workout. The instructor was amazing with high energy! The music was great and kept us pumped during the entire workout. The 60 min workout flew by and I enjoyed every moment of each station. I’d definitely recommend this location!

The instructors were always great. The workouts were good, though I quickly discovered that I could do this on my own for free. My complaint is about the dreadful management. I requested for my membership to be canceled back in December and, three months later, they finally followed through. Unless you're really committed to the (dubious) science of Orange Theory, don't waste your time and money.
Update - Orange Theory has contacted me a few times lately via email and text asking me if I want to come back. Every time I have responded “no and please remove me from your contact list.” I’m hoping that they won’t contact me again but I’m honestly not certain.

I'm super unhappy with my experience over the past year at OTF Carlyle. I have been trying to cancel my account for months, and OTF Carlyle continues to give me the run-around, tells me that I am going to be charged for another billing cycle prior to cancelling (even though I already have a month's worth of credit from March 2020 when the gym shut down due to the pandemic). It's almost like a pyramid scheme that you can't get out of...absurd! Unfortunately, I will not recommend OTF to anyone due to my experience during the pandemic. The customer service is horrendous at-best.

Be careful if you sign up for the first “free” class at the studio, I signed up for my first class here using my credit card online, and the portal told me specifically that I will not be charged, after I completed in my class, they said there was a mistake and that I would be charged anyway. When I protested to the manager, she said it was my fault, like I was supposed to know that the online system had a problem.

I have only attended two classes so far, but I already love OTF Carlyle! Abigail and Chelbie made everything so easy for my first trial class. Chelbie helped me on my first day and made me feel so welcomed and valued-- I seriously love her! Coach Allie made me feel super comfortable for my first workout and is also so, so nice. Abigail helped me before my last class and she was amazing, as well. Those girls are honestly one of the reasons I love OTF so much already!
As far as the workout, it is the perfect intensity for me. It is an AWESOME, challenging workout but everything is doable and you can cater everything to your fitness level. I like seeing my heart rate and being able to easily know when to possibly pull back and when to push harder! I was amazed at how many calories I burned in the class! I don't think I have ever burned so many calories in a single workout! I think the price is very fair for the value. I'm looking forward to many more classes! :)

Orange theory is a great concept, and this location was very good. Not for everyone, though. If you want to adapt your workout for yourself, which, of course, the contract you sign says you are solely responsible for your health and safety, the instructors will tend to get in your face and push you to do things you do not for should not want to do, on the floor workouts. I was told to do more weights, and that I had to do jumping on several visits. I got tired of fending them off.

Everything about this workout is perfect!! I love how fast-paced the workouts are, the coaches are always encouraging and offer just the right amount of instruction, and the music is just what I need to get me through the workouts! The classes are always offered at convenient times, the staff is very friendly, and I always look forward to getting my workout in at this studio. I also love the variety of the themed workouts, which keep each class so fun and challenging! The people I've met through working out at this studio are awesome and I've already seen such a huge improvement in my overall fitness level, I love everything about it and I can't wait to see what else they'll have in store!

This place is close to where I live which makes it ideal for me to stay on my fitness journey
The studio has windows which allows light in which a plus in my opinion as other OTF are so dark and depressing to me
Now to the main issues with this place
1- the parking is impossible near there - add to that the several constructions taking place around the studio which makes reach the place a chore in itself let alone finding a parking - the nearest paid parking is not that near at all
2- the women at front desk are weird to me I was given the monitor on my first day and on my next visit she told me in a mean way that she ‘ will allow it this time only but I have to pay and purchase my own monitor after 3rd time’ of course I thanked her for her generosity and told her it was my second time felt like I am a child at school and she was the headmistress !! Scary
3- because the class had badly 6 participants the brilliant trainer decided to put us in groups that compete against each other (it is very hard to understand what trainer is saying over the noisy music they play) I don’t like playing in groups I at the gym to do my own workout my own achievement my own result I am not fused about being part of a group
And because I was not performing as good as the other ‘mates’ in the group the guy came to me in the middle of the session and was like ‘you are not with them any more you are slowing them down!!!!!’ And I was forming a group entirely by myself
Talk about motivation
Feeling good about yourself
And all that nonsense they preach on their website and on their walls

Very disappointed with this OT location. I arrived approximately 5-10 minutes for class today (due to difficulty finding parking) and wasn't allowed to attend. Afterward, I called and asked whether I would be charged for the class. The employee said she "would let it slide this time," but warned me that if I was late again I would be charged. I explained that I was late because there were no parking spots large enough to accommodate my vehicle (a standard F-150). She then hung up on me without responding. Very unprofessional. Needless to say, I won't be visiting this location again.
