I visited this place with my friends on Saturday, September 20, and it was a very disappointing experience. The building smelled bad and seemed dirty, as if it’s rarely cleaned. Some staff were rude and treated us differently because we are Turkish, which was upsetting and unfair.
When my mom arrived to pick me up, the woman at the front desk made up false claims about me. I know they weren’t true, because another staff member later thanked me for being polite and respectful. This shows the front desk staff were not being honest.
My hair still felt dry and unpleasant even after showering, which makes me question how sanitary their equipment and environment really are. While a couple of staff members were okay, the overall experience — especially the front desk treatment — was unacceptable.
This will be the last time I come here. I do not recommend bringing your kids.

This place sucks, never send your child here. I'm so disappointed beyond belief this is not okay, I've found poop in the sinks, mold on the walls, and at this point it's taking so much money that it seems like the parents can't afford deodorant for their children because of the stench of B.O and feet it absolute reeks here and you'll never go by ONE practice without seeing a few kids crying, this place sucks. come here if you want to experience hell without dying

If you have small children STAY AWAY!
I had originally took my first review down due to Paragon working out a solution and taking care of the situation we had encountered.
First I want to say most of the people who work here are whole hearted people with good intentions and wonderful with kids but there are a few bad apples in the bunch. A couple months ago, we had a situation where one of the staff members had a bad attitude and mannerism towards our child. Luckily, our child had told us what was going on and had one of the senior staff members pull the video camera footage and had validated what was happening. After they had reviewed the footage, they terminated that staff member and apologized. We all agreed it was a one time incident and moved forward.
Fast forward to today, my child and I enter their establishment on the day we normally go there and noticed the employee they had "fired" was working there again. I feel sorry for any other children who have to encounter working with this person. If it wasn't for our child speaking up and saying something, nothing would have happened in the first place, just makes you wonder how many other children had to experience the nastiness and negativity from this person before she was caught. STAY AWAY!!!

Told us we couldn't join the party unless my kid had a ponytail up, he thinks ponytails are for girls. He is six years old so there was no reasoning with him, I did try... I tried the man bun- he didn't buy it and found the ponytail/bun painful. He said he would rather cut his hair. I said okay, we have scissors in the car! The woman said, Noo don't cut your hair. I said well if he HAS to have it up or short and he'd rather do short hair then that doesn't leave us many choices, just not go to party? Well, I guess my son was desperate. This is where the women should have just said, go ahead just don't do whatever it is that long hair is not okay for. Anyway, I took precautions and told him it wouldn't grow back blah blah and he still wanted to cut his hair if it meant he didn't have to put his hair up. He cried and wanted his hair back. It ended up being a bad move on my part. I try to keep it real. But why do they have to be so controlling? I never would put my hair up either as a kid. Not even for soccer. He ended up missing the party completely and wouldn't let anyone look at him. He cried for hours over missing the party and his hair. Thanks, Paragon. Great place "for kids" lol Not! haha oh well. Never going back. I should have just left and said sorry sweetie no party. Either way- an incident or not, that's a stupid policy to be super hard-core forceful about. Especially for a kids' place. They could simply restrict equipment use for safety reasons if kids want their hair down.
Edit/Response to Paragon's comment:
I saw other kids there without their hair in ponytail holders. It's rude to respond and say to me "Well, all the other boys wear their ponytail holders." It sounds like you're trying to single out my kid. Implying there's something wrong with him because he had a problem. It adds insult to injury, plus he said it hurt his head. I appreciate the need for safety, but that's what waivers and such are for. Nowhere did it say, when we RSVP to the party, that he had to put his hair up. Paragon company needs to have signs and notifications before you get there warning you of this. In addition, my son could have just seen his classmates, said hi, and not used the equipment. Guarantee, he'd just run around anyway. Perhaps you should consider not doing birthday parties if you are going to be so strict. This is supposed to be a gym for kids after all.

It was my first time taking my neice and it was shocking at how smelly and unsanitary it is. I have a four month old and had to change his diaper. The bathrooms were disgusting, the changing table is supposed to be white and it literally looks grey. Kids are in and out of there you’d think it would be clean. I’m very disappointed.

Instructors are great! Tuition is reasonable. Being able to watch your child? Almost impossible. The building could have been configured a lot better. It still could... hopefully they'll take into consideration the requests of paying parents.
Update. They've added seating but the design is flawed. They need to focus on directing families into and out of the building. No one uses the right door going in and it's fully functional.

First and foremost, it’s a great place for kids to utilize their energy. We attended a birthday party here yesterday, and all of the kids had an absolute blast. We loved it so much that we booked a party because of our experience! I understand this is a business and so it has to accrue the correct income to maintain the large facility, but to most, it’s a bit pricey, but for our special girl, this isn’t going to stop us! We look forward to our party experience.

Really great gym, great coaches and a great program. Unfortunately their business practices have upset me for years. Exorbitant amount of fees. One example - assessment fees... My daughter should be assessed during every practice and this considered "coaching" and part of monthly costs. Why do you need $100/mo/gymnast to conduct assessments? Some parents aren't consistent on payments, got it - their fix? Keep every family's card on file and charge as they see fit. And now some people are overcharged or not charged on a consistent date. When asked, they can't tell you who ran a charge "but they'll find out". They need a single point of contact for their finances and not whomever is sitting the desk. We were charged before signing a contract for the new season - technically fraudulent. Need reimbursed for some reason - they can't get it back to you for days. You were able to take my money in an instant - you should be able to replace it immediately as well. This is a fairly large operation - get your finances in order, keep records, or pay for an online payment tracking system with a parent portal login. My daughter absolutely loves this gym however these issues are enough to force us to go elsewhere now.

New Review:
My daughter loves this place. However recently I noticed that they are extremely loose about enforcing temperatures checking and mask mandate.
1) There is an automatic thermometer at the door, however no one is using it and everyone just walk straight into the gate. The administers work at the front desk don’t check people’s temperature either. It is like they don’t care literally, as long as they get business.
2) When CDC removed indoor mask mandate, they did so too, with email sent to parents says masks is no longer need for waiting parents who are vaccinated. However, none of the administers work at the front desk check ppl’s vaccination card for those who are not masked.
3) Now with CDC revert its indoor mask requirements due to the more serious Delta variant, it has been a week, Paragon gym still has not updated its relax no-mask policy yet. None of the other girls in my daughter’s hopper class wear masks either! My daughter is the only one in her class with a mask.
I am just so frustrated. My daughter really like her gymnastics class and want to keep attending. I just want everyone play their parts to make this place safer for children.

My daughter has really enjoyed attending classes here. The tuition is definitely reasonable given that the classes are 1 hr. 15 mins. Her instructors are knowledgeable and very nurturing. We had a birthday party here. Employees weren’t friendly or helpful. The details said 3 people were supposed to “work” the party, but they never entered the party room once to assist- they only supervised the kids when playing in the gym area. There wasn’t a trash bin in the party room and took a while to get one when we had to ask. The goodie bags contained “slim” that was already hard and dried out. The kids really enjoyed running around- I wouldn’t mind bringing my own kids back for open gym time, but I wouldn’t recommend for a party for the amount we paid. I felt disappointed

Outside of the preschool gym this place is horrible. My daughter quit gymnastics for two years because of this place and how they treated her. Anyone looking to come here I suggest taking a drive outside of the area. Also it's very telling what their core values or lack there of are in the responses. You can also tell who the favorites are. At this gym you are nothing but a number, easily replaced by a new number. I promise, if you travel outside of the area to some other gyms north or south you will find a community of professionals who are uplifting, kind, as well as disciplined and extremely knowledgeable. And they also are able to hold onto their staff a bit more.

I never write reviews. I just found comfort in reading so many expressing their negative experience here because it’s all the same things:
Unprofessionalism sums it up. rude staff- talks demeaning and doesn’t honor anything they say. They raise prices at random, late fees and tuition raises ...”they steal your money.”
Two women actually Smiled at my face and one laughed when I was kindly and patiently explaining how I overpaid. I was asked to fill out a check for the wrong amount the month before..when I asked why it was so much..she caught herself said she was sorry that they’d take it off next months. But, when I was telling these women...one being a manager (sounds 12 years old) she just had a demeaning and repeated their policy like a robot. I get it..I put up with it. Accepted it. What I do not accept is the stealing of my money as they refused to honor what that employee told me they would do. What I do not accept is the disrespect, the smiling finding humor in another humans frustration ..pain.
The policy she created is ridiculous and it traps people. It’s a selfish inhuman ...unwavering, policy. It’s gymnastics, not law and order people. But, it comes with the territory ..you sign up for it. That’s her Angle anyways..she’ll repeat it to you “you signed up for it when you started” yeah they know that you’re child will enjoy it..be improving ..learning new skills and making friends so they then raise your tuition randomly.
Warning:
Let me also warn you that many children got a bacteria infection from unclean mats. It smells like feet in there. You never really get use to it. You may have a random sub for your child’s class several times in just a few months time...she may be unpleasant/cold and let the children play more than learning..she takes it easy and you wonder if it’s fair..if it was a full class you paid for really. But. Nothing you express to the staff will matter. They don’t care about you. But I do, whoever you are reading this, I wish you luck if you decide to move forward with them anyways. Maybe your experience will be fine. I hope so 🙌🏻☀️❤️

Our daughter has been attending gymnastics and ninja classes here for a couple years now. We actually had her in the old building so it was nice when they moved to the much larger building and closer to our side of town. My daughter was on team at Paragon before we moved out of the area. Paragon as a business is professional, welcoming, and the gym is beautiful. The coaches are amazing! They are extreamly knowledgeable in the sport of gymnastics. They love all the girls they work with and I feel that they are supportive of each girls individual journey. They offer constant encouragement and motivation. The team as a group were all kind and supportive of each other. The coaches encourage and require good sportsmanship from all team members. If all that wasn’t enough, Paragon always rocks the house at any meet they go to. I highly recommend this gym.

In the past Paragon has been a great place, seemingly organized, and I did not have problems. Now, when you enroll your child, you're told many different things by different people working at the front desk, charging you more than what you should be charged (unless you know what is going on and you are able to argue/correct them). They've made changes to their program (for example - no more makeups offered, until everyone complained, and now they offer 1 make up), however, none of the changes are communicated to people enrolling. My daughter was enrolled in March, and then not enrolled again until October, so I was completely in the dark that so many changes had been made. When I called to speak with a manager regarding my concerns, and to get money refunded for a prorated 1/2 month (which I was told by 2 people at the front desk they could not prorate, only prorate if you start mid-month, which is the definition of prorate), they did eventually refund my money, but not before making me feel like everything was my fault as the customer (well the changes are on our website, well that's not how we work here, well you unsuscribed from the email, if you had stayed subscribed you would have known about the changes- which was b/c my daughter was not in the program for 7 months). The tone of the manager I spoke with was so rude, condescending, and defensive, before she finally apologized and refunded my $$. This place is a business. Yet they do not operate that way. As I told the manager, all of this information (changes, things I am expected to know, fees), all of this should be provided to me upfront when I enroll my child. I should not be expected to figure it all out, search the website, be subscribed to their emails. And all of those working the front desk should be well informed and knowledgeable about the changes and the fees. Not too mention, half the teachers they hire there look as if they want nothing to do with kids, could care less about what they are doing, no enthusiasm. My daughter, who used to love it there, now says she does not want to go, and I know it is because of the lack of energy and enthusiasm from staff members. This is just flat out, not good business. I hope they work on improving their communication and business practices.

I would give this place zero stars! I was extremely disappointed in the lack of unprofessionalism and rude staff. My daughter has autism and the instuctor was yelling at her when she didn’t understand what she was asking her to do. I was extremely upset and will never return to this horrible place. The class sizes are way too big for very little staff to manage the kids. Don’t waste your money here!

Let me start by saying that I never take the time to write reviews. After the expierence that I had today I felt like I needed to share and warn whomever has a child with autism will not make the same mistake I did. First there is one class for special needs children at 8AM that does not require parents and another at 12:45PM that does require the parents in the class. Which is fine but when I called to make an appointment the 12:45 class was booked so the lady offered the 8AM class Instead not saying there was any difference just that one is with a parent and the other is not. So after we get there my son who has autism went to the class for not even five minutes Shelli the lady that was working the class asked my son twice to do something she requested. He didn’t because he didn’t understand what she was asking so she went over to my husband and said that he shouldn’t be in the class and he should be in the 12:45 class. She also did that to another student who was in the same class as well. She seemed like she didn’t have patience for the children and it really seemed like she couldn’t handle them at all. If you are certified to work with children with special needs then you would know how to work with them I mean that’s the whole point of the class is to teach them in a fun way. They made it seem like oh sorry this is for the more high functioning class and the 12:45 class is for more of kids like your son. I was completely shocked that this is the kind of program they are running it literally seemed like a joke. I felt like it was unprofessional and they didn’t know what to do or how to deal with my child on the spectrum. For the money you pay it’s not worth it when it just seems like the people that work there are just there to monitor not really do anything to help your child. The front desk a lady named Megan didn’t seem like she was very sorry about what happened which is even more scary when taking your child with special needs to a place like this. I am very very disappointed and I will not be bringing my child back with the kind of prejudice I felt like I received. I hope this review will help any parent who wants to find a place where our kids with special needs can play, learn and still feel welcome and accepted for who they are.

After multiple years of my daughter going to Paragon, she has quit. There have been several issues over the years, from the lack of knowledge and common sense from the front desk staff, to the poor teaching from very young and immature "instructors" and laissez faire attitude from the owner. There is never any continuity in classes as different instructors are teaching different days/classes. The instructors change frequently and so has their testing and scoring. Having different instructors for different class days has led to very conflicting scores. It appears over the years that only the students on teams are pursued and given attention. My 10-year old daughter should not come to me and say she doesn't want to do gymnastics anymore because of the way her instructor talks to her and treats her.

he management.
We donated a months tuition during the the move because they did not have makeup classes that fit our schedule, and we only had a certain amount of time to to do the make up classes in. So there went a months tuition down the drown. I hope you enjoyed the donation.
Then after some medical issues we missed two classes and again, I was told there were NO classes that fit our schedule so we donated those as well because the makeup policy is two weeks.
I gave the management a chance to make do right by us and talked to them in a kind, respectable manner, but they are more concerned about taking money from their loyal patrons then keeping those patrons loyal it seems. We just had our last class and we will not be returning unfortunately. This makes me very sad because my three year old LOVES Ms. Riesa and after a year of classes we were hoping to stay for the four year old class, but that will not be the case.

My daughter attended at the old location in Central Park starting in 2010. She had tried out for the team and made it. The problem was the practices times were during the day during the summer, and early morning on Saturdays. We hadn't gotten to what the schedule would be during the school year. I emailed, and called the individual in charge of the team with questions, No response at all. When I called she was never available and the front desk staff referred me to her. This was the final straw for me, in a long list of issues that have come up. Once they moved to their new location, we decided to try out open gym. Disgusting and filthy, and we're kept being told they were having a new building being built. Paragon you need to read these reviews and change.

Brought my three kids here for gymnastics lessons my mom signed them up for. My oldest daughter told me class started at 11:30. Turns out the girls class starts at 11:30. My four year old son"s started at 11. I ask at the front desk if he can do an alternate class. She tells me it is age baded and he can't do his sisters class. He is very sad. I sit and watch all the different classes going on and figure maybe there is another four year old class he can do today. So we go ask the girl at the desk. She informs me that they offer this class Monday through Friday. Today is Saturday, not exactly helpful when we are here today. Certainly not the flexibility they described to my mother when she signed them up. Having trouble believing they only offer one class time on a Saturday for four year olds. Just checked the class schedule for his age. They have three more classes today.

BEWARE: This place cares more about the money then the kids. Those who make TEAM BE PREPARED. It'll cost you a FORTUNE! There are fees to compete too. COSTLY MEET uniforms (100's of dollars!!). If you don't pay for it, your child won't compete. If you don't pay the fees your child is off the team.
What bothers me the most is I "spent" over 2G's in 3 months for meet outfits, competition fees, her team fees. We paid on time but ONE time my wife forgot to go by and pay and we get this email saying "if you don't pay 250 by today your child won't be in the competition."
As soon as I read that, the next day I took my child out IMMEDIATELY. Felt like they were "intimidating" my wife and I. Like pay "or else" KNOWING it will devastate the child if she can't compete. They use that against you. Your child's love for gymnastic. Their tactics are questionable.
On the day I took her out. I was in SHOCK on how FILTHY and NASTY the gym and mats are. My wife handled it all. I had no idea. If I knew it was like that I would not had let my wife sign my daughter up. It's a germ magnet. They take NO PRIDE in keeping it CLEAN!!
Do your child and yourself a favor DON'T GO THERE.
-----------------------------------------------------
In response to the Owner.
-----------------------------------------------------
I understand where you're coming from. I understand you have to take any step possible to get the money owed. What I don't understand is if the cost is low why must you make strong demands to get the money owed? It shouldn't be difficult unless the fees are high and puts the parent in a position to where they struggle to pay, which puts you're company in the position to cover the child until they do.
Another thing I don't understand is how the parent gets in that predicament in the first place. What is being said to the parents, by your company, to make them sign the child up. Is the child chosen by your company to be on a team?
If this is so, a family who may not be able to afford it is already doomed from the start. Parents love their children. They'll do whatever they can to see him/her happy and successful. When the parent can't fulfill that, they feel inadequate, they failed the child and therefore the child blames them or becomes bitter. Especially if the child LOVED being on the team then taken off. Image the pain the child endures. Imagine how the parents feel to see the child hurt over this matter.
Now, I'm no counselor by any means, this could be seen as speculation by many or few but as a parent, I would feel that way if I failed my daughter.
As far as cleanliness, what you say and what I saw was two different things. By no means was the place clean, the huge gym section. I read other reviews online from other people who was there and they say the same thing, the place was dirty or nasty so we all can't be wrong. Feel free to Google it yourself.
As I mentioned earlier, I understand, you have to do what you have to do to get payment. You spend all this money to clean the place, but what others see and you are two different things. Just my input, others may see this post differently.
