Since 2010, we’ve been providing our members with an avenue to achieve meaningful, lasting, positive changes in their health, fitness, and well-being using the CrossFit methodologies.

Our goal at Patriot CrossFit is to educate and support each individual in the gym, while ensuring safety through the use of efficient and effective movement patterns.

I've had the good fortune of working out of here for 2 years and can't say enough good things about it. The coaches are incredibly knowledgeable and the community is amazing! I'm by no means a CrossFit expert, but the coaches, especially Jill, have always been supportive and helpful with finding good ways to modify things as needed. Absolutely recommend checking Patriot out!

There is a reason this place has been affiliated for 15 years and if you want to know why... show up. I dropped in but from :90 walking in the door it was obvious this was a true CrossFit box just as Coach Glassman expected. Alex (owner?) greeted me right away, even though he was directing an athlete he didn't sacrifice his attention to the young man he was training. Acknowledged me and stayed with his client. Finished his session with the client, began fist bumping others coming in for class, took me over to meet the coach, and quickly matched me up with a member to partner with during the strength piece. Kaci, the coach, did a great job with 20+ athletes. She hit all the lesson plan components with clear communication, and nailed time management.
Interacted with various members after class. Definitely a signal of good community.
Also, finding a gym that has a strength and conditioning component in each hour is where it's at. I get wanting to explore other boxes while traveling but I wouldn't waste time at any others in the Arlington Area.

Traveled to DC and was highly recommended to visit Patriot CrossFit from a fellow member back home. The gym was amazing, the people were amazing and super friendly. They all welcomed me from the minute I stepped foot into there gym and to the last class I attended. The gym manager Jill was great and welcoming. The gym itself was very organized and well maintained. The best part of course were the dogs. The last day I attended two dogs were in attendance and how can you not beat that. I hope to go back to DC soon and will definitely make the trip even if it is out of the way to return to Patriot CrossFit.

I have experience doing CrossFit and was looking to join a gym in the area—all the coaches were so welcoming and supportive. They were great with giving corrections and had really comprehensive programming. While I ended up moving to a new area and wasn’t able to join this gym, I will definitely be stopping by for a drop-in whenever I’m in the area!

I am brand new to CrossFit, and was extremely nervous about my first class. Those nerves weren't needed... Alex and Jill made me feel welcome, as did the other people attending the class. Everyone was extremely encouraging, offering kind words and fist bumps during and after the class. I've never experience such a welcoming and friendly environment at a gym. They truly just want to see everyone succeed.

Highly recommend this gym if you're looking to start your fitness journey, I certainly will keep coming back!

If you are new to CrossFit or already have experience, this is a great gym to join or visit. I joined as a newbie and really enjoyed the foundations course. The classes are fun and challenging, and the instructors are top notch.

I’m very glad I found Patriot Crossfit after moving to VA last summer! I’ve been to good gyms and not so good gyms, and Patriot is one of the best. The programming feels very intentional and challenging, but still scalable for all skill levels. I most often take classes with head coach Monika and she really knows her stuff, gives very helpful form cues and feedback, and encourages you to try something new. All of the coaches I’ve taken class with have always been kind and encouraging and you can tell that Alex, the owner, really cares about the members having a good experience. I took my time to find the right gym for me after I moved and I’m so glad I did! Whether you are new to crossfit or just looking for a new gym home, I highly recommend Patriot Crossfit!

Great place to start or continue your crossfit journey. All of the coaches, staff and members are down to Earth people which makes Patriot Crossfit awesome place to pursue your fitness goals. Patriot Crossfit exemplifies hard work, professionalism and a second family. Jack the manager is always prompt to answer my questions and help me get better.

They are extremely COVID friendly, taking extra precautions for distancing, wiping down weights and keeping people working out while staying safe. I feel very comfortable when I come.

Most importantly if you want to sweat and get strong, this is the place to be. 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking to better themselves.

I travel to the DC metro area a couple times per month and have dropped in at a few gyms. Today I dropped into Patriot CrossFit and they were by far the most welcoming of any gym I’ve been to in DC. The coaches were friendly and so were the athletes. Their space was clean and their equipment was in good shape. They also have a/c which was an unexpected but welcomed surprise. I’ll definitely be back here again.

Andrew was incredibly flexible, funny and responsive to our drop in. The floor space was huge, the class was very welcoming and the coach was excellent. If you’re looking for a box, you have to try Patriot. If you’re passing through, great box to drop in.

Do NOT attend this gym if you’re New or interested in CrossFit. The coaching is inadequate and unfavorable to folks who do not already know the movements. I have done CrossFit for six years but my wife is a novice. Part of the appeal of CrossFit is coaches lead every WOD and review proper form and technique. You won’t get that here and I refused to spend over $300/mo so the coaching staff can ignore my wife. We walked out of a 0630 class with 20-25 people and only one coach. The workout involved snatch but there was no review of snatch technique, no scaling options provided, and no coaching for someone who has never done the movement. The excuse given was they were wrapping up the 0530 class. If that’s was the case, then they either need to space the classes farther apart or have more coaches on hand. CrossFit gyms can’t have an attitude that everyone just knows what they’re doing and expect to keep business.

I joined Patriot as my very first Crossfit gym in November 2017. The coaching is top notch, the programming is great, and the community is friendly and motivating. Plenty of friendly competition for those looking to push themselves, but also plenty of scaling options and support for those still developing their abilities. I’m very happy I chose this gym!

I’ve been a member since 2011 and I cant recommend this gym more. It has amazing coaches, dedicated athletes and a supportive community. It’s scalable for everyone and the coaches can work with limitations/injuries. I’ve made lifelong friends from this community and met my husband here. If you are considering a workout check out the free classes- you won’t be disappointed!

They let you (sometimes encourage) workout shirtless. If you WOD in the morning with the fire breathers (also known as the big lads) the windows act as a mirror. And there’s exceptional coaching, facilities, programming and community.

It has bumper plates, racks, med balls, kettlebells, and the basics.

Cons: Too small of an area for too many people
Mandatory classes/WODs (i.e. you can't work on what you need to work on when you need it - most likely due to again limited area for too many people)
Programming is very repetitive - lots of HSPUs, double unders, and not enough time to really push yourself on heavy days. Everything is very rushed including the warm up.
Expensive box, though that may be because all the boxes in the DC area are very expensive. I got spoiled in NC, CO, and NY.

I trained at this gym for almost two years. Near the end of my experience at Patriot Crossfit, I began to see some problems. One of my major complaints is the way the workouts are programed, I saw a lot of people, even coaches themselves get injured due to it; a torn bicep being one of the worse. I also saw many people go to this gym 3-5 times a week, and not even get fit, that would imply they are either (1) not eating correctly and not doing the workouts to the best of their ability, or (2) they were putting out maximum effort and eating correctly, but the workouts were not programmed well; which was causing the athlete to not make gains.There is such a large majority of people at Patriot that haven't made athletic gains, that I can only come to the conclusion the answer is #2. I left this gym and have been working out on my own and seen much greater gains in my performance.

Patriot Crossfit is Amazing! I was a competitive collegiate athlete, and I'm now in the best shape of my life at almost 34 years old thanks to Crossfit. The community is amazing and you can't argue with the results. I also can't say enough about the coaches and leadership at Patriot crossfit, they along with Potomac are one of the most customer friendlt businesses I've ever worked with. I joined sister gym Potomac 3 years and moved to Patriot this summer. Even after several years of crossfittting I am still getting stronger and faster. I can now deadlift 325 lbs (started at 135) and can do more pullups than I ever thought was possible. I couldn't do a single pullup when I started crossfit. Why would I ever stop crossfitting?
