Pilates, Health & Dance by Everlea LLC has been providing professional Pilates, Dance and wellness services since 2009. We offer private training, small group classes, and Pilates teacher training at our Norfolk, VA Studio location.
Owner Everlea Bryant is a Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher, an Educator for Balanced Body, Inc., has her Bachelor's Degree in Dance Performance from the University of Florida, and is Staff at Governor's School for the Arts in Norfolk, VA. Her Staff are all highly trained professionals and ready to help you bring your personal wellness and fitness to the next level.

This is a class which combines basic barre work with modified Pilates. Movements are modified to allow for physical issues and you don’t have to exercise on the ground.

Everlea, You are an amazing instructor. I love how you incorporate the breathing with the exercise counts. I appreciate how you get a pulse from every member BEFORE the class starts to help you modify movement during the sessions. I also love how through your instruction, I feel very confident in my movement, especially when you come by and make a slight modification. Yay! I love how I feel after your class, the muscles are absolutely spent, but I feel invigorated! Thank you for knowing your stuff!

I've had 2 total hip replacements in the last year and a discectomy last January, and have a few spinal/lower back conditions. I experience back pain. I cannot express enough how deeply grateful I am for Everlea and the impact she’s had on my physical health and overall well-being. In all my experiences with medical professionals, including doctors and physical therapists, no one had ever truly identified the root cause of my issue concerning me walking with a cane the way she has. While others focused on surface symptoms or temporary fixes, it was Everlea who, through her expertise, attentiveness, and intuitive understanding of the body, first recognized the muscular atrophy I’ve developed from years of underuse. She has a remarkable ability to assess movement patterns and immediately pinpoint areas of weakness that I didn’t even know existed. Muscles I had unknowingly neglected for years are now being reawakened under her guidance. She doesn’t just lead a session; she works alongside me, one-on-one, diving deep into the layers of my condition, treating me as a whole person rather than a diagnosis or a set of limitations. Everlea is not just a Pilates instructor; she is a skilled practitioner, a coach, and a source of unwavering support. Each session with her feels tailored and intentional. I can feel the changes slowly but surely taking root: my balance is improving, and my gait is becoming more stable and confident.
I am still a work in progress, but for the first time in a long time, I feel hopeful about my body’s potential. I believe wholeheartedly that as long as I continue working with her, I will reach the finish line, stronger, steadier, and more capable than I’ve been in years. Her work is a gift, and I am incredibly fortunate to be on this journey of healing and strength with her. Thank you, Everlea. You are the best.

I had multiple people tell me I should try Pilates and that it would help improve my physical health. I put it off for quite a while. Then someone gave me Everlea’s contact information and I decided it was time to try it. I am so glad they referred me and I’m so glad I started. Everlea is a wonderful trainer, that has helped me work at my pace while also pushing me to help make progress. My body feels incredible after a class. I'm enjoying my sessions with Everlea. The location is perfect near my office on Granby and my home in Ghent Square. My goal is to get back in shape in a slow but steady pace and this pilates gym is my favorite choice. Give it a try, they offer many classes seven days a week.

Love this studio. Very intimate. Christie is a great instructor and knows how to help with my hip pain. Immediate relief. Prices are very good with lots of different package options and I am happy it is local instead of being a slave to the national fitness chain monthly contract.

I had lower back pain off and on for 17 years. Sometimes I couldn’t stand up. I resisted surgery. After 3 months of twice weekly pilates classes with Everlea, my pain was greatly receding. After 5-6 months my pain was basically gone. Now, 1.75 years later I no longer worry about whether I can lift my children, what type of floor a venue has (IYKYK), or when the pain will come back.

I've had back problems since 2016, including spinal stenosis and arthritis. My pain level was unbearable. The Drs were suggesting surgery. I decided to try Pilates and found Everlea in early 2020. Within months my pain was down 50% and now it's down about 90%! Sure, I have bad days but they are occasional and usually my fault! Everlea knows how the body is put together and always comes up with new exercises to keep it interesting. I can't recommend Everlea highly enough!

I’ve been going to Everlea’s Studio for several months and have had the great pleasure to be trained by her and some of her staff both in person and online.
Everlea’s is hands down the best place to improve your overall health. In a few short months I am able to do things I have not been able to do even as a teen (and I certainly weigh more then I did then).
The atmosphere at the studio is super cute too! She has a great purple velvet couch in her waiting area that you’ll just fall in love with. If you can’t come in person, make sure to grab a class online with Nancy (she is a rockstar 🎸-⭐️).
Everlea and her staff is knowledgeable and kind and they will challenge you in a safe way. I’d give them 6 out of 5 stars if I could.

Everlea Bryant is truly an expert at her craft. She knows how to find your body imbalances to help you move more efficiently in daily life and in your athletic endeavors. I am an aerialist and Everlea’s training has helped me get my body back after having my son. I’ve been taking 1:1 classes with Everlea since late April of this year. With each class I became stronger; fast forward seven months, my posture has improved tremendously and the shoulder pain on my right side has subsided. I’m also toner in my arms, thighs and tummy. Everlea directs the focus of our classes on body issues I may be having all the while giving me a challenging workout. Trust me when I say that Everlea pushes me and more often than not, I surprise myself with what I’m able to do. It’s so much fun! I first met Everlea in 2015 At the Pilates Center in Boulder Colorado where we were both attending Pilates training classes. She was an inspiration to me the day I first saw her practicing.Throughout the years we've both kept
in touch and I am so happy we did. She moved her teaching practice to the Virginia Beach area, which is much closer to where I live in the Outer Banks of NC. I turned to Pilates to regain core strength and stability following the birth of my third child. I have both taken classes with Everlea and worked with her one on one in private sessions. Everlea is one of the best Pilates teachers I've had the chance to work with. I had the pleasure of getting to know her and work with her while I was on assignment in the Annapolis area. She has a tremendous amount of knowledge and is always trying to expand it to better master her craft. Everlea is an amazing Pilates teacher in a class setting and one on one. She is the most knowledgeable Pilates instructor I’ve had. If you have any physical issues, Everlea will work with you to provide exercise options. She makes minor adjustments to your form to ensure you are in the proper Pilates position. She pays attention to the smallest of details.
And she is fun! I would recommend her to anyone-beginner or experienced.

I met Everlea (Eve) around the time I was beginning my journey to become a Pilates instructor. Eve led sections Of our training. Not only is she one of the most knowledgeable Pilates instructors in the area. When you take class from Eve, she cues the movements well. You know specifically what to do, how to breathe, what you should feel in your body. It’s one thing to be able to do Pilates well. It’s totally another thing to instruct well. Eve is amazing at both. Everlea worked with me 1 on 1 for several weeks to help rehab after a car accident and the techniques she taught me provide instant pain relief especially in my lower back...when I apply them. She’s very knowledgeable about the body and catered exercises to my abilities. And even though I don’t like to voluntarily workout, She is a great personal trainer and I will definitely see her again.
