Kenya has been a pleasure to interact with, she has always been extremely helpful and goes above and beyond to answer questions and guest needs. Overall OK for the price and location. It used to be 24 hours. Now, close early on weekends and by 11 on weekdays. That was the perk of planet fitness-24 hour gyms. This one has Aging equipment. Mold growing on the ductwork. The black card equipment is always broken. The hands-free entrance door is always locked. No paper towels in the restrooms. The front doors need cleaned. Just that overall ick of route 1 establishments. Everything needs a good wash down. The front lockers have one locker door missing- why not repair it? It's the entrance lobby... The staff are nice.

It's in the high 90s and the AC has been out For over a week, and they're still not doing anything to fix it. It's absolutely miserable inside to work out. I would go somewhere else if you have the opportunity. Our first time here and the facility is dirty, the showers look like they have never been scrubbed at all, men's bathroom and the women's bathroom was overall dirty, a few machines were broken with signs on them.
This is an extremely small facility, in the weight room and Cable area, There's just too much equipment down there for such a small area. I definitely would not make this my permanent gym When I move here.
The parking lot is small RV and tractor trailer friendly without the trailer.
Definitely find a larger gym with AC.

I truly enjoy this Planet Fitness location! The staff are all so pleasant and accommodating. Whenever I come in, I am often greeted by Andre who always shouts me out and makes me feel energized and ready to make magic happen! The facility is always well kept and clean. My name is Karina Aparicio, I want to make a complaint about the fact that they canceled my membership approximately a week and a half ago. Two weeks ago, I attended the gym with my son. The black membership is in the name of my son and I am inside as a guest, but I pay for it myself. I have proof of that and I'm going to send it too. I changed it a while ago due to problems with the same branch. That day it was in the afternoon, the person who was there was a dark-skinned man and there was another person who I think was Hispanic. My son entered first. I I went behind him so I could get in at no time. I am no scammer, I am not a cheating person. I have a good record in this country, but when I finished I wanted to use the chair for a massage. I asked him if he could give me 15 minutes. He answered me very arrogantly and In a very bad way, since I did not have the membership, I explained to him what I was paying for the membership for. I explained to him that my son is the owner of the membership. I told him OK. My son is here with me. I called my son to come with me. My son cannot explain many details to him because, as I repeat, he has autism so as not to give him a hard time. I decided to leave my son but I told him what I was going to talk to the man about. Yesterday another day the man used his power to check the cameras and cover his back because I was going to complain to him for treating me. ugly because he didn't talk to me in the right way I felt like he was a criminal they also let me treat them badly and if the other person is supporting him it is because he is their boss or I don't know but I wanted to use the chair and what I have seen inside the gym that they are only in front of them gossiping and doing nothing. They do not follow the hygiene regulations, clean, do not clean and I think that hygiene inside the gym should be a priority and they do not want you to use the beds or use the chairs so as not to clean them. I think it is a right that we have as a mother of my son. I represent him and I want to file this complaint against them because I feel discriminated against. We feel humiliated given the fact that I am a client of yours and that I paid for my membership and that today they have canceled it because he spoke to Manayer before. and with the state reviewing the cameras and checking every detail of Me, he went to file a complaint with her to cancel my membership, I think it is not fair treatment and they should put more emphasis on the employees within that establishment cleaning and they are taking care so that we can use the tools in the appropriate way, not that they inhibit them from wanting to use them because they do not want to do their job. I ask that you please take into consideration and return my membership to My Son, his name is Oscar. It appeared today, I went to the gym because I wanted to do a little exercise, my son was inside the car charging his phone and he was going to go in later, but they informed me that the membership had been canceled and that they had called me. I have not received nor have My Son received any call from them or any email where they notify what the measures are and why they wanted to cancel the membership. I believe this is unfair and I accuse this employee of using power for the purpose of harming us and his clients and accused him of racism

The worst planet Fitness that I have ever been to across the US so far. Very hard to find the entrance. Out of the men's showers not one worked correctly. Shower#1 no hot water, shower#2 the mixer valve was broke, no hot water, shower#3 (the handicapped shower) the hose is broken so the water goes everywhere except through the fixture. The women's showers had no hot water and were filthy with hair all over.

I like how it is never crowded whenever I visit this Planet Fitness. The location is convenient and easy to find. Parking was easy (not crowded). The place is clean. Customer service is good. The rooms for hydromassage and massage chairs are lacking in that sense of privacy for black card members. They do not have the rotary twist abdominal and back extension attached weights machines I prefer. They do have a couple of recumbent bicycle cardio machines which is my go to for cardio. I tried out their glutes machine for the first time and liked it. After doing my first real workout in this gym, I see this place as my go to fitness place due to the large availability of parking spots, less traffic, and more options & availability in the machines I prefer.

Unsafe and poorly maintained, AVOID.

UPDATE 2: yet another piece of equipment has failed. The bolts from the straight bench I used have fallen out on one side so that side lifts up away from the frame. I had tried moving the bench and discovers this. Did I mention this place is unsafe?

UPDATE: while one of the machines has had the bolts tightened, the other problems remain. AVOID.

ORIGINAL: I’ve been to this location 3 times in a 5 day period. There is a safety issue here that has likely developed over a long period of time. The problem stems from the cable driven muscle isolating strength equipment, most notable are the machines on the main floor where the cardio equipment is located. One of the machines I used had sheathed cable that had lost that a portion of it protective sheath in one area. It’s not likely that someone damaged it, but this occurs from dry rot. Missing sheathing may cause more resistance, wear and tear than the manufacturer intended and should be replaced immediately anywhere this is observed under periodic inspections. Another piece of equipment (lower floor) the seat spring is damaged or missing and the equipment is not working as designed. And again in yet another machine, that seat also has an inoperable seat spring AND the bolts that hold that seat on are loose and working their way out.

While these things may seem trivial, in my experience, when one thing is missed, maybe it’s a one off issue, in this case, I’ve used 5 machines and at least 3 are deficient and two to the point that they are not working as designed and are unsafe. There is at least a lack of safety here caused by a failure to regularly inspect the equipment and resolve issues. When management makes a decision to allow equipment use after determining they are not working as intended, YOUR safety is in danger because now they are choosing to ignore the manufacturer’s installation and maintenance instructions. They are essentially making a subjective decision and it’s not likely any of these employees have had OSHA or risk management training or they would have a sense of urgency regarding inspections and safety.

All of these issues are a good indicator on how well the equipment here is inspected and serviced.

While my use of this gym has been short, my experiences here have been alarming.

One post script. Upon attempting to use the machine with the loose bolts I informed the counter people about the problem and that the machine needed to be place out of service. There was no immediate reaction to inspect or place the item out of service. After 15 minutes I again approached the counter people and asked one to follow me so I could show them the problem. My goal was only that nobody get hurt as those bolts will continue to work their way out. I showed the person the problem and left.

This review has gotten longer than I intended, I apologize. Planet Fitness states in their website the following:

“It’s our goal to provide a clean, safe, welcoming environment for anyone who walks through our door, and all the equipment, amenities and support you need once you’re here.”

Planet Fitness has failed in their goal. As of now, this place is not safe for you or your family.

It’s a small gym that appears sorted to appeal to the cardio crowd. Don’t come during peak hours for weight training, it will likely be crowded.

Lots of cardio machines here, at least 1/3 to 1/2 of the equipment is treadmills and some cross trainers and bikes. 1/3 or less of the equipment is devoted to strength training, such as cable machines, dumbbells and free weights. There is a 30 minute workout area and AB’s / stretching.

The equipment looks in good shape but the floor is not cleaned well in areas you can clearly see. Music doesn’t seem to loud or obnoxious. Lots of storefront windows which likely make this place muggy and hot with peak sun and loaded with people. It feels small but if you can vary your routine it can meet most needs.

Spray bottles of anti-viral fluid are given to every member upon entry, and everyone seems to spray and wipe down the equipment after each use. The gym isn't busy when I'm there around noon, so it's easy to use the machines. Employees are diligent about cleaning. Exercise equipment is separated, so that there is more space between members. The only negative comment I have is that only some people are wearing masks, and even though it's a bit inconvenient to wear a mask while working out, it would create an additional buffer from virus exposure. Planet Fitness should at least recommend the use of masks.

I really like the gym, clean and well kept, but I have an issue with a person at the front desk today. When I entered the gym on Monday, 16 January 2023 at about 1:45pm there was nobody at the front desk. I waited about 5 minutes before walking around trying to find someone. By this time there were several people at the front desk waiting for assistance. After about another 5 minutes, I walked around again and found a guy in a PF t-shirt enjoying the hydromassage chair. I asked him if he know where the person who was supposed to be at the front desk was and he said that it was him but that he "was on his break." I told him that there were people at the front desk, but he told me again that he was on his break and his replacement had failed to show up. I asked him if he would be please come to the desk and to his credit he did, but with an attitude.

The front desk should never be left unattended. That is a customer service issue as well as an important safety issue.

If you are on duty and your relief does not show up, you stay on the desk and call your supervisor to get relief. I hope this was an isolated incident.

The staff at this particular location is young and relatively respectful, but there’s a short, stout, female employee who clearly lacks professionalism and can be quite contentious when engaging customers. She’s rude, nonchalant, and has no customer service skills. I believe other reviewers have also mentioned her horrible behavior. I’m unsure if management will step-in and rectify her rudeness, but you can’t truly be responsible for the actions of others, even if they’re your employee.

November 2022 will be my last month dealing with this, I’ll pay the extra $$ and return to LA Fitness…and yes, I’m the tall black guy w/ long locs, who’s there 6 days a week…transparency is key.

I really want to give 0 stars to this Gym!! How in the world could you call the police to kick out at 16 year old boy that is a regular at the gym. My son does wrestling at MVHS, he is a very good student, he has all A’s in his AP classes!! I don’t understand why, we are still paying the membership for 4 people and he is the only one who’s using it!! As a parent we never receive any call from this gym to let us know what happening. It really was a MISTAKE!! We drop him off and pick him up every time he goes there!! You really need to be careful to send you child to this kind a gym where they do not care about anything!! Thank goodness the police guys were very nice to him even when he was in shock and scared because he didn’t realize they were after him. We are very upset about this.

The facility is clean and the staff make rounds to make sure dust isn't accumulating on the equipment although the ceiling fans could use some help.

I always enjoy every visit to my local PF. it’s always clean, everything looks in order so no complaints from me! I do wish they had a set of kettlebells but that’s about it.

I love the front desk ladies !! I don’t remember there names but it’s around evening time I see them ! There always greeting everyone with a smile everything is always nice and organized and clean , spray bottles always ready to go ! Answering questions to new guest and making sure everything is good
