This planet fitness gym is pretty good. I usually go in the morning around 7:30 and it's not too crowded. If I do have to wait for a machine or a bench it's usually not more than 10 minutes. During that time I can usually find another exercise to do. There are plenty of treadmills ellipticals bikes another machines for cardio. The gym is usually pretty clean and they have a good number of weight machines. I do wish they had a couple more weight racks for barbells. Also this is a smaller planet fitness so the additional amenities are limited.
The staff is friendly and the customers that go there are also very friendly.

This is a good fitness complex. During the week it can be crowded but still enough equipment to choose from. On Sundays we usually do 1.5 hours and watch the nfl games and super human tv. Overall it's a good gym.

I’ve been a member at this location for nearly a year. As someone in my late 50s, I make an effort to stay active, although my visits are usually limited to once or twice a month.

Over the past two months—during approximately four visits—the front desk staff has consistently insisted that I have my photo taken, citing it as a mandatory Planet Fitness policy. Today, a staff member named Sam, who introduced himself as the general manager, informed me that my membership was being canceled solely because I declined to comply with the photo requirement. His demeanor gave the impression that this was more about asserting authority than enforcing a reasonable policy.

This kind of management behavior is deeply disappointing. While the membership may be affordable, the experience has fallen well below expectations in terms of professionalism and respect.

The overall gym was very nice. The staff were very pleasant and friendly. The hydro bed needed to be taken down and repaired. As well as the tanning bed I used. You could not control the fan. It was set on med and that was all you got. Several of the bulbs were out.
The manager needs to be aware of things like this and have them fixed. This is why we pay our gym dues and you still are not open 24/7. Covid-19 is over already. Either go back to 24/7 or lower our membership fees.

I had to wait 15 minutes to use the leg extension because they were both being used by people who sat there and played on their phone the whole time. Planet fitness, please adress this to the gym goers. Machines are not for using phones. They are for working out. I pay for a black card membership, but may switch to the cheaper one for this reason. It's not fair to people who come here to actually work out.

This place is perfect! Super clean, great vibe, and an awesome atmosphere. The only downside is that the heaviest dumbbell is 75 lbs, and they don’t have leg machines like a hip thrust machine or a hack squat.

This gym has clear favorites. The general manager named Daniel is extremely disrespectful and demeaning. Customer service sucks. There’s another employee named Ethan who is extremely disrespectful as well, he has an attitude and cusses a lot. This facility really needs a change in staff especially the manager, that dude named Ethan as well needs to be trained or fired!!! There is also another employee who is extremely rude. She is always sitting near the desk with white hair in the evenings. This is very upsetting and bad choice in staff. Not expected from a renowned brand like planet fitness.

I have been going to this gym for a year. Ive met some really nice people. This is supposed to be a NO JUDGEMENT zone but the staff did just that judges. A friend of mine was put out for jumping rope and expressing herself how she was the only person who was addressed about it when other people jump rope as well. Then the manager called her on the phone and canceled her membership all because she expressed her opinion. Planet Fitness needs to do right by her and reinstate her membership. Please and Thank you. This is discrimination and I'm not sure how I go about some assistance in this matter.

We can’t seem to get the men’s bathroom fixed after 2 months of malfunctioning urinals.
Now, the bathroom“floor” is a hazard.
Employees state it’s out of their hands… and they’re waiting on a 3rd party company to come and fix the problem. The GM is aware.

Hi, overall I love this place. But today when I was using the massage chair inside and sat there in the chair for extra 2 minutes. The staff was VERY RUDE. He said I was not supposed to use it to sit simply. I was using the massage chair and after it is done I stayed there for an extra 2 minutes. He only set up the timer for me. He acted like I was staying there for hours. This is not the first time he is rude. Only this person is rude. The other staffs are very friendly. Thanks.

This facility is very new with lots of machines and never a wait (as long as I've gone there). The facility is VERY clean (with staffers constantly cleaning the machines and workout areas). Staff is extremely welcoming and nice (one of the nicest places I've been to in Northern Virginia since moving here in 2019). Everyone is respectful with regard to wearing masks. I highly recommend this Planet Fitness location!

If you don’t mind having a membership for the rest of your life, sign up! I’m not sure how there are so many positive reviews about the cleanliness of this gym. The women’s changing room are so disgusting. The same trash, balls of hair, and huge dust bunnies are there for days, clearly indicating they don’t even sweep. Tons of employees goofing around but rarely seem to be cleaning. On the plus side, it is rarely busy and are machines are in great shape.

The Ashburn Planet Fitness is very clean and has the best treadmills (we have visited several other PF locations out of state and did not like their machines as well). Never had an issue before at this PF but the general manager seems to have an extremely negative attitude and treats the members of the club with utmost disrespect.

I had kept my folding bike worth $1000+ by the entrance, in its compact form. He tells me to take the bike and lock it outside rudely, I told him I don’t have a lock and asked if there was a problem if I kept it there for this time as I have done that once before and it was no issue.

General Manager promptly lets me know that if I don’t do as he suggests he will cancel my black card membership…so before my last workout today I have done just that.

I will also be reaching out to the regional manager of Planet Fitness Ashburn to lodge a complaint on such abuse of power and terrible customer service.

I Typically don't give bad reviews, gym is nice nothing fancy but you can't beat low membership. They do fix issue with equipment however biggest issue is opening on time. I personally has experience 3 time delay in opening specially on Sunday morning first time so call keys were lost 3- hours delay second time guys show up 3 hours late. Third time not sure as I am currently writing the review while waiting for someone to open 40 min after opening time.

Bottom line ok gym if they can keep up schedule on time ( most PF are 24X7, this one isn't it's ok but open in time or at least update in your app. So people don't have to wait 1-2 hours for some one to open gym).

It’s a very nice gym that is actually is affordable, flexible & convenient. I don’t make a lot of money, and most gyms charge outrageous prices, but Planet Fitness fits my budget, thus, giving me the opportunity to get back in shape, but more importantly, stay healthy. I traveled between South FL and Northern VA throughout the holidays and continued my workout routine. I noticed after visiting 3 different Planet Fitness in South FL, none of which was up to the standards of the Ashburn, VA location. Ashburn PF has nice machines and the black card amenities all work great. My biggest gripe is they don't stock cleaning solution spray bottles at the paper towel stations throughout the gym. They keep them all by the front door. I don't like to carry a spray bottle around with me while I work out (I'm already juggling enough with my water bottle and phone) but it appears to be common practice at this location.
