I was told the cops were going to be called because the first time I brought my idea to planet fitness about starting a basketball or football team they said changes will be made if needed as if it was a bad thing to request. Then I requested they start a boxing or mma team since it is a place to work out then again why call yourselves a place to workout if your not a gym? Not to mention call the cops on me because I asked all the planet fitness owners of every gym for a boxing or mma fight just in case some are women owners because i don’t hit women. I would also like to point out why have weights in a gym if you can only be forced to lift a certain amount? I guess PF would rather count their stocks than to be what a gym should actually be used for. Got all them stocks for PF but don’t want to invest in sports?

Alot of equipment to help with the shaping of physical fitness but beware of what card you put the charges on they have been charging my card 3×a week then took 65$ total and continued to try to keep taking money and the times that they were doing it at 4am who is in the office at 4am went today and was told in the fine print that I had a 12mth comment and a cancelation fee of 50$ and said that if I want to join again I owe $200 mind you that I started my membership in June ok my fiance got hurt in the middle of June so I didn't pay July or August the fee for monthly payment was I believe $15-25 at most means I only owed for July and August so I suggested to call even with all they have taken no was my answer so if you come to the Gloucester Va planet fitness before you sign up really read the fine print don't take their word watch your card transactions

Black card member and long-time Planet Fitness member. My home gym is Lynchburg, VA. I was visiting Gloucester and went here on a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evening back 2 weeks ago. I made it a point to compliment the staff on my last night there. I thanked them for keeping the place clean and instilling a seemingly positive vibe. Great location, especially compared to other Planet Fitness locations I’ve visited elsewhere around Virginia!

My planet fitness is awesome! It’s always very clean and the staff are always friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Truly, I personally have yet to have a bad experience here! Even at times when they are short staffed you honestly, can’t even tell! (And that speaks volumes)…I would highly recommend this gym to anyone and everyone!

All of the staff here has always been very polite and professional but want to recognize Reggie. He takes his time to make sure everyone feels welcomed. My mom came to work out with my last week and wanted to try the hydro massage. He took his time explaining everything to her and I knew she was in good hands. Employees like that are hard to come by.

Hours here are terrible, posted signage states 24/5 like ok I can deal with that. But now it’s only open 24 hours 3 days a week. It’s a shame really. I hope they can get the staff to be able to be more true to the planet fitness motto of 24/7 or at least the five they advertise. The most important days to open later would be the weekend, but unfortunately those are the shortest hours. Driving all the way to Newport News is a shame when I have a gym just minutes away.

I have had many visits here in the past couple months and there is only one employee that has said more than just 'hello, have a good workout'. Ryan has gone above and beyond to not only build a relationship with me as a customer, but also ask questions and give me some very good recommendations. I would highly recommend talking with him as he is very knowledgeable on most anything you ask. Would definitely recommend this location because of him.

Equipment always disgusting and it seems like the same machines are broken down for the last few years of visits. Doesnt seem to care about the quality of customer care. The fact that you have to go to the location you sign up in to cancel your membership is trash service in the least, especially if and when you no longer live near the "home store." The only plus is that they offer affordable memberships to people who may not be able to Gym otherwise and it really (ideally) helps obese and overweight individuals get their foot in the door to a better, healthier lifestyle.
Also, 24 hour? No. So much for that perk, if you can call it that.

All of the staff are extremely rude and play favorites. They act like it's an inconvenience when you come up to the desk and you need something. One of the employees caused an issue and they did nothing about it. Gloucester Planet Fitness is DEFINITELY NOT a judgement free zone. -5/10

Planet Fitness is clean, professional, and judgement-free. The rather common bad smells and sweaty atmosphere at other gyms is non-existent.
I just like cardio, and my boyfriend is into building muscle; Planet Fitness has everything we both need to reach our fitness goals.

I moved two years ago and have sent at least 6 letters trying to cancel my membership since then and I am still being charged. Club fees and monthly fees. You people have stolen almost 300$ from me and when I call I'm told
I either need to come to the gym which I can't or send a letter from the form on the website which I have done so many times and nothing has happened.

I’ve been going here for 7 months and everyone is always so kind. Everything is kept very clean. The equipment is in good condition.
