I actually really am obsessed with the setup am I be a tad small but it's set up very very nicely I like how it has its different compartments of ways to work out I think there's like three different spaces that are kind of closed off or you can just go in and kill it and I do love that it was very clean and it was my first time today I think I want to make it permanent

I have traveled to nearly 100 different planet fitnesses on the east coast. This PF is in a questionable neighborhood but based on the inside you’d think you were in the richest neighborhood in the nicest city. The gym is SPOT-LESS - no dust bunnies under machines or flying around your feet. The staff was SO sweet and generous when I needed a bandaid. I really like it here 🫶🏾💗✨

While I was working out, I observed the employee speaking to a member in a highly unprofessional and disrespectful manner. The employee used profanity and displayed unpleasant behavior that was completely inappropriate for a staff member representing your gym. It was an uncomfortable scene for everyone nearby, and I felt it reflected poorly on the environment Planet Fitness promotes as a “Judgement Free Zone.

The last time I went in there, I went to use one of the hybrid tanning beds. Went up to the counter to wait for my room assignment. The guy asked me how many minutes I needed and I said 7. I went straight in there and within 30 seconds of me closing the door the tanning bed already started. So I completed my time in the tanning bed and went out to the front desk and told him that I recommended to not automatic start the machine because I hadn’t even gotten my shirt off yet, and it was already started. He immediately got extremely defensive and told me that it was my fault that I didn’t tell him how much time I needed before the machine started. He’s the only one that had ever automatically started the machine, but told me that it was on me to let him know how much time I needed before the machine started. He continues to tell me that I’ve been rude every single time that I’ve come into that location. This is the first interaction I’ve ever had with him, so I’m not sure how I could be rude to somebody that I’ve never had an interaction with. I say “hi” when I walk in if there is even anyone at the front, I say you too if anybody even is bothered to say have a good day to me as I’m walking out and when I’m going to use my black card telling them how much time I need or say thank you when they give me the number. That is mostly my interaction with anybody on the staff. The place has been dirty. People don’t clean off the machines or any of the black card items. I posted feedback for them, letting them know that was happening and recommended a more thorough cleaning from the staff who just sits around on their phones all day or chatting with each other and can’t be bothered to acknowledge when people are coming in or leaving. After I submitted the feedback, they started cleaning for probably a month and then stopped and the manager acknowledged me by first and last name every time I see her. So just know that feedback is not anonymous. It’s unfortunate because this location was closest to my house, but I’m happy to drive out of my way to go to another location where I don’t have to be told that I walk in there “like my dog just died with an attitude and a chip on my shoulder”.

Though my workout was intense, my training session was very comfortable. As usual, the atmosphere is laid-back, accommodating, and friendly. Focusing on my exercise objectives is always easy. Indeed, I really do enjoy my experience at Planet Fitness.

They charge you a $5 franchise fee per day at this location if this is not your home gym. Kind of defeats the concept of planet fitness to be able to use their gyms easily if you travel a lot.

After i had some Bad expirinces at other locations , I found the right one , Great staff Attentions and there comunication is A 1 in my list, they Help me transfer my membership from Delaware , wich the other locations just wanted to charge me for the Gym fees , locations is really clean impecable so is the equipment they sanitize them around the clock , I am Here to Stay on this tidewater Facility Feels like Home Cudos to the Gym staff and Management they do a Great Job !,

I really like this Planet Fitness location at Tidewater Drive/Southern Shopping Center. It's a big facility with lots of machines and equipment so even when it's busy you have options. There are many amenities like massage beds, total body machines, tanning, relaxation pods. The men's locker room is adequate with large showers and a clean space.

I joined in June 2023. I discovered duplicate charges and asked about it. They had duplicate accounts in my name and had been charging the duplicate fees since June 2023. I was told it would take 3-7 business days for a refund. It is now day 10. When I contact them today I am told that no one is there to process the refund until Monday. This is unacceptable business practice. So I am posting here to let others know that this is how they do business at the Tidewater Drive location. Unfortunately, I had an issue with one of their employees harassing me recently,. When brought to their attention, they had assured that they will get back with me.

Ten days later, no follow-up with me. Deflection is their specialty. Disappointing!

Since I had left the Tidewater area, I requested for my membership to be canceled. Somehow, I am being charged monthly. What's worse no one follow-up with me regarding that staff member.

I chopped it up to a misunderstanding last time this happened, but I swear to God, this time I'm reporting y'all for fraudulent Behavior with my banking card. This is literally the second time I have walked into this gym to put a freeze on or cancel my membership, sit and sign through the process, just for it to STILL be screwed up by one of the employees and the money be taken out of my account.

On top of that, both me and the employee understood that I was putting a freeze on my account for 2 months, they wrote down one on the document.

Christine at this location keeps harassing me about how loud I am in the gym she thinks that I can't be on the phone and I stay to her I'm not on the phone I sing along I make noise as far as me talking loud because of the Planet fitness music these are the things I do whether I have headphones in my ears or not I speak loud I'm active I'm in a gym and she's trying to conduct how I speak in the gym and how I sing in the gym and how I speak to other guests in the gym. I would please like her to stop harassing me. The music is loud in the gym so sometimes people can't hear me it's nothing personal to anyone else and I'm not there all day.

I joined this location back in September, my wife kicked me out of the house a week later. I wish I would have got the pass that you could cancel. I went twice and then I moved to the beach. Last night I went back. I am going to have to make the drive. They do not have any flat bench or squat racks here, just smith machines. No hammer strength machines. You can still get a workout. Not for people wanting to get massive but for those getting ripped and doing cardio. I will start using this place more now. Also not 24 hours all the time. Check the hours. The equipment is getting used, you can see signs of wearing.

After becoming a member with the special that planet fitness was running. I noticed a few charges that didn't seem to be correct. I contacted the corporate office and was routed to the local office. After speaking with Randell who even though I was a little irritated at the situation remained calm and understood my frustration. Randell began to see what he could do to correct my issue. He offered a solution and I feel like he handled my situation with respect. I've been a member at other planet fitness club in the pass, but this one by far seems to be the best one. After meeting Randell in person at the club his personality did not disappoint. Him and the staff at the location are very friendly and helpful and I look forward to getting healthier in 2024.

Nice, new, clean facilities. I love that there are cubicles with outlets and mirrors in the lockers where I can touch up my hair after an intense workout. I can even use my curling iron.

Broken machines seem to be serviced quickly.

The staff is the best. When I forgot to bring an elastic for my hair and went to see if the front desk had any, they did not, but the gentleman came up with the idea to give me an elastic from a pair of tanning goggles! Talk about ingenuity and great customer service!

I love this planet fitness, nice equipment, great tanning beds and amazing staff but I have a problem with kids coming in and eating, playing around on equipment, not cleaning equipment and starting arguments with people. These kids are not accompanied by adults and I see no reason why they should be let in. This has happened a few times since I started coming to this location. Other than that I really like this location and the amenities.

In more than 22 years of fitness, I’ve been a member of several gyms in several states. I’ve never been to a 5/5 perfect gym. This PF is the closest I’ve got, due 95% to staff. Everyone here is exemplary. The friendliest, most genuine customer service I’ve encountered in a very long time. Regardless of my energy level or how the rest of my day has gone, the staff here ensure I workout in high spirits.

The setup of the plethora of equipment has a decent flow. The club is air-conditioned, doesn’t feel crowded or overwhelming, stays fairly clean and has a good vibe.

The black card amenities and some of the gym equipment have had some kinks that the staff work hard to remedy and / or mitigate the best and as quickly as they can. I think the staff is great enough they deserve some patience and grace from the patrons of this gym.

It's been open less than a month and several pieces of equipment are already broken. Several machines are off balance. Many of the pully machines aren't lubed and there is lots of friction. The equipment that does work is nice. There's only a few times of day that I feel a bit crowded. I travel for work and go to a lot of PFs. This one is...okay.
