This is the only class based gym I’ve ever liked the results from, and I’ve tried OTF, F45, Madabolic. All of those felt too cardio heavy, even on the “heavy” days.

Here when I see that it’s a “build” day I know I’m being given movements and weights that are actually strength building. The coaches also do a great job guiding the classes. Lots of variety in the workouts, plus the Hyrox days. Highly recommend it.

If I could give this gym six stars I would! I dropped in for a HYROX class on a Saturday and had a blast. The owner is amazing and the community makes you feel like you’ve been going there for years. I couldn’t recommend this place more!

Fun and challenging workout! I am from out town and joined in on a class with my sister who is a member. The gym is very clean and well-equipped. Gym members are all super friendly, welcoming, and encouraging. Andreas was likewise, very welcoming and motivating. He led a great class!!

Great gym! I was in town for a few weeks and wanted to keep up with my usual morning fitness routine. Pure Fitness filled the bill. Great coaches, excellent facility and good people to enjoy (suffer through) your workouts with. My new gym when I visit RVA

In January 2025, I took advantage of the 3 day free classes to check out Pure Fitness after seeing instagram posts. I was looking for a gym that challenged me and I found it. I enjoy how every class is different, while you may be utilizing the same muscles in some classes, the exercise itself is different. The 90 minute classes on Saturdays are brutal but challenging. The coaches have been amazing, coaching to the exercises, providing modified movements if necessary and fixing form. The owner is receptive to feedback and actually reaches out to obtain it from members and then puts it into motion. This is a game changer for me!

I've been a member of several gyms over the years in Richmond and this is by far my favorite! The programming is done in-house and the coaches are amazing. I appreciate the setup of the gym and the format of classes. I would highly recommend.

Did the Saturday morning class while on a weekend trip and days later I am still sore in the best way. Good variety of exercises and really felt like I got to push myself. Didn’t realize I could do a 300 lb sled push until this class! The coach was encouraging and paid attention to form and the environment was uplifting.

Was in town for work and wanted to continue my morning workout routine. Was recommended to this gym via a friend and was glad I stopped by. The workout was tough, but not overwhelming for someone who hadn't taken this class before. The owner was extremely helpful for my first time and walked me through the workouts to ensure that I was comfortable with the movements. Unfortunately, I do not live in the area, but when I come back to town, I will definitely be adding this to my schedule.

If you are looking to completely step up your fitness level with challenging and efficient work outs, Pure Fitness is the gym for you! This gym focuses on form just as much as it does on building strength while promoting lifelong fitness.

When I first joined the gym, I couldn't even do one pull-up. I set a goal to be able to do 5. I thought this would be easy to accomplish in one month, but it took much more practice and focus than I expected. In addition to the workouts provided, the coaches would help give me direction to effectively increase my strength to help with my pull-ups. In addition to many other strength improvements, I can now do 6 pull-ups thanks to this gym.

This gym not only helps you achieve your goals, but helps you maintain your fitness during difficult seasons (holidays and summer). I can't say enough good things about this gym- it's worth every dime and more!

The space, programming, and community are exceptional; brand-new weights, top-notch equipment, Sonos speakers, on-site showers, and multiple large TVs to project the daily workout. The programming is fresh, varied, and scalable from newbies to elite athletes training for triathlons.
