I’ve been cycling at New Trail since it ope
ned and I have to say it has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Not only will you get a great workout, but you’ll also make new friends (something that is harder to do once retired). I’m always welcomed by the friendly staff and riders, and we sometimes go out for coffee or happy hour after. It’s wonderful being part of a community where we truly get to know and support one another. My favorite classes are the ride and strength combos, but I also love the 55+ group and rides. If you’re looking for a friendly, health conscious community, give New Trail Cycling & Strength a try!

This was my first experience with cycling/spinning classes, and it was great. The staff is most welcoming and helpful, the equipment works well, it's easy to make reservations and the overall vibe is positive. I'm glad that I found New Trail which had been recommended to me.

My only regret is that I didn’t find it sooner! All of the instructors are amazing, knowledgeable, and so kind. I joined not having done a workout class in YEARS. There’s truly no judgement or pretentiousness which has been so motivating to keep going! New Trail is such a gem. If you’ve been thinking about finding a gym or a workout studio do not hesitate!

New Trail has cultivated a fun and welcoming environment for individuals of varying wellness goals and fitness levels. The instructors are all absolutely wonderful, seamlessly balancing challenging workouts with consistent support. New Trail clearly values and cares for each and every individual that walks through the door to exercise - whether it’s class number 1 or 100!

Truly the most welcoming, comfortable place to workout. I enjoy every single class - the instructors always shake it up and change exercises so you’re never bored. Their music selection is on point and just what you need to get through a workout. So grateful to have stumbled upon New Trail - now I don’t think I’ll ever leave!

New Trail Cycling Studio located in Lake Anne is the BEST! They have fantastic instructors, great music and offer a fantastic workout. Since you can adjust your own tension you make the workout at your own pace every time. The studio is also very clean and COVID-19 friendly. They offer yoga and strength classes as well. I recently booked a private party at New Trail for my birthday and they were extremely accommodating to my group - even had a special playlist with my requests! Would give 6 stars if I could!

This place is fantastic! I’ve been to several different indoor cycling studios, and this is one of my favorites. Everyone is welcoming and friendly, there is NONE of that snobby boutique vibe you may find elsewhere.

Another great thing about New Trail is how WELL they have adjusted to the needs of everyone during the pandemic. Classes offered outside, inside or via Zoom from your own home, really meets the comfort level of anyone wanting to join a class. Several different formats to choose from also!

It’s nice to find such a great spot nearby, so glad I found New Trail!

New Trail is an amazing place run by wonderful people. I started spin classes just before the pandemic hit. The bikes and facility were always spotless and the coaches supportive and motivating. I love how the business has adapted so well to outside and virtual offerings. The owner really cares about everyone. The website is user friendly and the customer service is great. Once I recover from an injury (completely unrelated to spin), I hope to be back!

If you are looking for a way to stay active this winter New Trail Cycling & Strength has your back.

Really impressed with the measures New Trail has adopted to make sure all of their clients, instructors and staff are safe. They have broadened their original cycling studio to also offer yoga and strength classes.

For the winter months equipment can be rented (bikes included) for streamed workouts.

Can't say enough about how welcoming everyone is. Would absolutely recommend!

Missing your weekly spinning/cycling class during the pandemic? New Trail Cycling is the answer!!!
Outside class with heaters for cold weather, clean equipment every class, temperature checks of all attendees upon arrival, and masks are required until all attendees are on their bikes at the start of class. Owner Liz and her staff go above and beyond to make your experience safe and enjoyable. Her innovative ways to make cycling available during these times is commendable. New Trail is a real gem in Reston.

Had my second class with this studio today, and I have nothing but positive things to say! The atmosphere, trainers, staff is/are so positive and welcoming. The workouts push you just enough without being overwhelming. Give them a try! (Note: they are taking ALL precautions for COVID-19 including outdoor and virtual workouts. I felt incredibly safe.)

New Trail is the best. The coaches and staff members are positive and thoughtful. You will get kind assistance on adjusting your bike and clipping in. The classes are energetic, motivational and always about making the ride *your own*. So glad I found New Trail!

The instruction is top notch, and provides a much more personal experience than larger membership gyms. With the option of purchasing individual classes, you can also fit their classes into gaps in your other workouts if you don't want to make this your primary fitness solution. For myself, I find enough variety to address both cardio and strength needs in an environment I much prefer.

I signed up for classes at New Trail Cycling to supplement training during the fall and winter months and to train for a big upcoming fundraising ride. It was truly the best decision I ever made! The entire team from Maria at the front desk, to the instructors Jeff, Madeline, and Peter (who I have taken classes by), to Liz, the fearless leader, are stellar. Maria is very kind, personable, and proactively on-point with customer service needs. Each of the cycling instructors bring a unique style to their class, but the things they have in common are fun attitudes, challenging rides, and music that motivates you! New Trail Cycling offers many package options. It's easy to sign up for classes online to reserve your spot and shoe rental is free. The studio is not a chain and I love it because there is a genuine community vibe from fellow riders that you cannot find at other places. They also have big hearts and organize great events that give back to the area they are part of.

Simply the best for many reasons!

I don't write reviews very often but this place deserves it. I love the concept and wish New Trail much success. I have been riding since December 2018.

1. I feel good spending my money here because I am supporting a woman-owned small business.
2. I pay for what I use and I can buy passes in bulk which decreases the per ride cost. This is so much better than buying a gym membership that I barely use!!
3. It is a super welcoming and clean environment. All ages and fitness levels welcome. "It is your ride," as the like to say :)
4. NT is active in the community and creative with themed rides and events (again, this place deserves my money and time because they are doing more than just providing a workout).
5. The bikes/website/log/email stats are so cool.
6. Clip-in shoes included in the price per ride. This is great because if you are new or not a cycle fanatic, you might not want to buy your own shoes. The shoes are clean and effective in getting you the most optimal workout.
7. EUCALPYTUS TOWELS!!!!! *enough said*

New trail is simply amazing! I've been to a couple classes here now and recently bought the 3 month package - the instructors are always so kind, friendly, & helpful, the staff is professional and makes sure everyone is taken care of, PLUS it's also very clean and organized! Would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a spin studio in the Reston area.

This place is great! Plus it’s right down the street from my apt! I bought a 3 class pack at first for a great deal, I was even able to bring a free guest for my 3rd ride. Now my guest and I bought 5 class packs so we can ride once a week. I’ve taken class with a few different instructors, all have a different style, but I really enjoyed each class. Can’t wait to keep coming back :)

Thank you Liz and company. This place is amazing. Such great instructors, clear instructions, fun music, and an awesome way to burn calories in no time flat. They are encouraging and easy going. I felt comfortable during my first ride, even though I was a novice. Try it! You won't regret it!

Took my first spin class ever on New Year’s Eve. I had been wanting to try spinning for a while but was always nervous that I would not last thru an entire class (I’m not consistent about working out). Finally motivated to try this new studio and support a local business. This class was outstanding. Tough and challenging for sure - which I expected and wanted - but not overwhelmingly tough to the point that I didn’t want to do it. In fact the 50 mins flew by with fun music and helpful coaching by Liz. I had a pep in my step all day afterwards and already excited to do it again - great first experience with spin for me. Worth mentioning the studio is brand new, equipment is new and top notch, shoes are clean, just overall really good experience.

I love all the classes but I tend to gravitate towards the 55+ class which has great music from the 60s - 80s. Beth is usually our instructor and she has great positive enthusiasm.

Today, Liz taught and that was amazing as well! The music she picked for intervals, hills, speed and recovery made it so easy for me to stay on beat and stick with the recommended RPMs. The workout has varied intersity intervals, allowing me to push and recover throughout the workout.

I love the emphasis on pushing yourself while listening to YOUR body. Versus other places where you are competing with others. I also appreciate the guidelines but that only you see your console so you can have a harder, lighter or vary your workout based on your needs that day...with an instructor who continues to support you without calling you out for doing something different. There is a big emphasis on this being your workout, which I love.
