Issac is an amazing instructor! I have had the privilege of training with him at the VA DOJO. He is exceedingly kind and patient, and that means a lot--especially when you are a novice!
I highly recommend Issac and his new dojo as I know that he will take great care of his students. Issac has trained under the great Sensei Roberto (9th Dan) and Sensei Iha (10th Dan), among other karate leaders. His knowledge and skills make him an exceptional teacher.

Isaac was a huge part of my journey to black belt. From the day I joined our dojo in N. VA, he was patient, kind, and knowledgeable. He's very good at taking something that seems complicated at first and breaking it down in a way that is easier to understand and learn.
He has always been eager to help his fellow students and quick with a joke. I really enjoy training with him. I'm very excited that he is starting his own dojo. He's a great instructor. I can't wait to come down to Richmond to train with him and his students one day soon!

I've been training with Isaac for almost a decade. He's incredibly dedicated to karate for self-defense, rather than sport, as it was meant to be used and practiced. He's one of the most patient teachers I've ever had the pleasure of training with and has helped beginners all the way through black belts and of all ages, sizes, and abilities learn and improve their technique, build confidence, learn to defend themselves, and most importantly have fun. Isaac embodies the Beikoku Shidokan mantra of "Make Friends Through Karate. " I highly recommend training with Isaac for anyone who's always wanted to learn karate, learn how to defend themselves, get fit, relieve stress. Isaac will help you learn at your own pace in a safe, welcoming, friendly, non-competitive environment. We're all on our own journey and it's never too late to start!

Isaac is a knowledgable and patient self defense martial art karate instructor. He makes class fun. You, too, will enjoy your self defense karate classes with him. In addition to punches, kicks, and blocks, Isaac helps you learn the good stuff! The hidden grabs, locks, and throws found in most martial arts. Take a class from Isaac. You’ll enjoy it.
