I’m writing to express my concern about the newly implemented bag check policy. While I understand the need for certain security measures, I find this particular rule deeply uncomfortable, especially as a female member.
On multiple occasions, male staff members have requested to inspect my bag, which often contains personal items such as undergarments. This creates an environment that feels invasive and inappropriate, and I believe it compromises the privacy and dignity of female patrons.
I respectfully urge management to reconsider this policy or implement modifications that ensure members' comfort and privacy are protected—for example, allowing members to request a female staff member for bag checks or offering private screening options.
Unless there is a clearly communicated and justified reason for this policy, it comes across as unnecessarily intrusive. I hope the gym will take member feedback seriously and make adjustments that create a respectful and inclusive environment for all.

100% great people working there. Friendly and helpful. Place is clean. If you're hardcore workout person get a membership someplace or fort eustis. This is more family and retired.

This place is nice fir military and retirees and their Family. However some of the staff is not friendly at all. They sit at the desk and just look up at you and then look back on their phone. The clock where not changed. A request was asked. On the way out the door. The staff was taking about the guest that ask them to update the clock . Suggestions have classes for the employees. If we guest wouldn't come to the gym the employees would not have a job at that center. Yorktown gym at one time was a nice happy gym. Now the staff makes you want to go some place else.

This gym is always closed when it's supposed to be open. Unreliable staff let's children run around in there. Only one bench in the whole gym and 4 racks. Equipment is worn or broken

The cardio selection is excellent, but the free weight selection is lacking. There is a wide selection of Smith Machines, but very few machines to help isolate each muscle group. It's all what you make of it

It’s a nice small gym, but some of the staff are just unpleasant, especially the woman that I see on the weekends, older, think her name is Donna, just miserable. Doesn’t lead to much motivation when you walk in and are greeted , or not greeted by a miserable staff member.

Nice place but a lot of the staff there seem bored and don't really seem to care about their job. They have a good weight selection and cardio selection is good. The sauna in the men's locker room leaves a lot to be desired.
