Found this gym for my Oly lifting while on a short trip in the area. What a great space: tons of equipment, 24/7 access, platforms, ladies bar, bands for accessory work, and much more. Good crowd getting their work done! Just so shocked places like this exist, and happy I found it! Thanks for being the type of gym you are!

I was in Luray for about a month, and I enjoyed working out here. Signing up online and downloading the app for 24/7 access was a breeze. The facility is clean and has a wide variety of weight machines as well as free weight selection. Other clients and staff were polite, but I was able to get in & out quickly. I never had issues waiting on equipment or working around other people. When I left Luray, ending my “membership” was also super easy. I would come back here and recommend it to others.

Great gym. I was in Luray for a family visit for a few days and found this gym. The staff was very helpful and the place was very clean. They had all the equipment you needed for any type of workout. I would highly recommend this gym 🏋️‍♂️

This place is an oasis for gym rats on vacation. It is clean, spacious, and well maintained. The staff is friendly, and checking in via Bluetooth is simple and convenient. It’s open 24/7, meaning you don’t need to plan your day around when you can get your workout in. To me, it was a home away from home while I was staying in Luray. The best part - it’s affordable! Highly recommend.

I love this place!! The staff are great, supportive and welcoming. They have created a safe, comfortable environment. (Even for an older guy like me) Everyone does their own thing and you can get your workout in without any issues. The place is super clean and has all the equipment I used in cardiac rehab. I love the open access that is convenient to my schedule. The mission statement says it all, they want to promote a healthy lifestyle and provide a means for our community to have access to a local facility in order to accomplish it. Thanks guys!

Steel Valley Fitness is a fantastic gym. Signing up was a breeze, with the process entirely online, providing 24/7 access and convenient payment options. The facility was exceptionally clean, as was all the equipment. The temperature inside was perfectly cool, making workouts comfortable. The staff was incredibly friendly and offered great tips. The price is excellent, and I highly recommend this gym for anyone visiting or looking for a full-time gym.

A recent transplant from Northern Virginia, the membership fee ($44 per month) is the best rate I've ever experienced. The fitness center has adequate cardio machines and free weights. Access 24/7 is a big plus. The sign up process was easy and not full of attempts to "upsell." The TVs are on fitness and sports channels (not news channels...thank you!). There are no locker rooms but as traffic in Luray is not what it is in Northern VA, just go home to take your shower. I also appreciate the cloth wipes they provide for both sweat management and wiping down the equipment after use (no paper towels). The entire operation is clean and efficient. And I find it amusing hearing classic rock on the speakers while folks from nearby senior centers are exercising at 6:30 AM. They don't seem to mind :) Five stars.

I have been a member of several gyms, worked at various gyms, and Steel Valley is the best gym I have ever been a part of. Their equipment is top-notch, their contributions to the community at-large is commendable, and the staff/owners are ALWAYS going above and beyond for their members. Tommy, Roger and Ethan are always friendly and working on improving the gym. There aren’t hidden fees, or tricky contracts… just a clean gym with great 24/7 access.

I visited from out of town and had a pretty good experience getting a day pass.
The gym and equipment aren't brand new and shiny, but all of the equipment I needed was there AND working. To me, that is what really counts.
The ability to get a day pass was great, and the prices were reasonable. If I lived in the area or come back to visit, I would definitely keep coming back.
The staff was super friendly and everything was kept clean. A well earned 5 stars.

Im in Luray for a getaway and needed somewhere to work out. Most hotels have crappie gyms. So, with a quick phone call to The Mimslyn, they suggested Steel Valley fitness . I was able to purchase a week pass for 50 dollars online. I downloaded the app ( self entry 24/7 ). That's a plus because I can go on my schedule. The staff is nice, the gym is clean. Which is very important. The equipment is a little dated, but cared for.... the clientele is very quiet, don't go intending to make friends ( which is not a bad thing... just a point of view ). With that said.... I would definitely come back next year and certainly recommend this place to anyone. Most importantly ( a small business myself ), I appreciate the obvious love and heart I see in this place. I look forward to seeing what they have done in a year from now. I don't know how long they have been in business, but they seem to know what they are doing. Thanks for a great experience.

Staff is very helpful. There is plenty of equipment/machines and areas for stretching. Everyone was respectful and kept the equipment clean. On top of that, the staff was cleaning the equipment too.

For $40 monthly membership and a $15 start-up fee, this is a great value. Would highly recommend.

Great gym! We travel full-time, so it was nice to have a place with a truly monthly membership. Plenty of equipment, whether you prefer lifting or cardio. 24/7 access was extremely nice too.

If you've been before, you will notice that some of the equipment has been moved around. Its look has been modernized nicely and cleanliness has risen a good deal.
