I agree with others. Unorganized, policies change constantly (and you will receive lengthy emails often about what is changing- it’s very hard to keep up with all of the rules and policies now), and nobody is ever available via phone or the front desk now. Very frustrating. We have never had an issue with the actual instructors, although my child isn’t progressing as much as I would like. Because of all of this, we will be looking elsewhere.

It's hard to keep up with them, every 3 months they change the rules, no staff in the registration/lobby area, so if you are not familiar with the process you don't know what to do.its so confusing.they took away the stroller area, I understand that you don't want them inside due to maybe safety issues but what I'm supposed to do now cary the whole car seat from the parking lot so my other kid can enjoy 30 minutes in the water? Adding to that now they don't have seating area inside, so I will have to stand up with the carsest while watching my kid during her class. With the new rules, now they don't even offer make up classes. If you for some reason can't make the class good luck getting that class in the future. they tell you will review case by case to give you that makeup class, but we all know you will never happened, and not all emergencies are not medical related , at this point is just a money grabs. The only positive was the instructor that work very well with my daughter and we can see the progress that she was making. But we just found out by her today is her last day , when management was going to tell us that, as we have more classes booked with her. Communication is almost zero at this point. And

We have nothing but positive things to say about SSA. The staff & instructors are absolutely wonderful. Our son took lessons here for over a year & loved going every single week. The only reason why we left was due to us moving over an hour away. I would highly recommend any young swimmer in the Winchester area to come here!

We found out yesterday that our son's private lesson instructor was charged with child neglect- risk of death in February. When confronting the owner, she confirmed this was the same person and SHE WAS AWARE of the charges. Her excuse was "we haven't gotten the background check back yet." This instructor has been teaching classes for a while. Owner is employing people to work with CHILDREN before getting background checks back. My husband and I quickly found her entire arrest record within 10 minutes of searching WV public judiciary records. Highly no not recommend.

Very unfortunate and disappointing experience. After only 1 class, we will not be returning. They do not allow spectators and the supposed video feed that you can access to watch doesn't work. The staff couldn't even get it to work. My other child and I had to sit in an uncomfortable "lobby" area and stare at a wall.

My boys attended Super Splashers for years and we have nothing but amazing things to say about them. They both started with absolutely zero swimming experience at ages 2 and 4, and became proficient and confident swimmers. We’ve done private, semi-private, public, and semi-public classes. Communication has always been clear and I think their prices and policies are incredibly fair. Makeups are easy to schedule and they are understanding about schedule conflicts/reasons for cancelling. We’ve also gone for lots of open swim and hosted a birthday party, all great experiences!

I was extremely disappointed with the swim class at Super Splashers Aquatics, and it was a truly awful experience. From the start, their customer service was abysmal. When I got there for my first lesson, there was no one at the desk to give directions on how to proceed. When I walked in to find someone, I was told to join the class that was starting. I told them multiple times I was there for a private lesson and they wouldn’t listen to the name on the booking, just kept pushing me to join the class. When I told the class instructor I was there for a private lesson, she told me to wait off to the side. 10 minutes into my start time, I finally met the private instructor. We paid $45 (really $95 when you include the $50 registration fee) for 20 minutes of “instruction.” I expected the time to be made up in the end, but it was not. The pool was overcrowded and the “private” lesson was actually surrounded by two other classes. I realized that this was not the place for my child and cancelled my next lesson. When I spoke with a manager about receiving a refund for the class I cancelled and told her about the problems we had, she said very little and didn’t seem to care. I asked if I could get my $50 registration fee back since I wasn’t signing up for a class and I had already paid $45 for a 20 minute lesson and they were unwilling to offer a refund. I asked what that $50 got me and she said I was supposed to receive a swim cap (which we did not and I also would not put on a baby). Overall, it was a waste of money, and more importantly, my child got nothing out of it since as soon as he started getting comfortable, our class was cut off. I would strongly advise others to take their business elsewhere.
Adding in now that I’ve seen a response from the manager: My child (7 months) was upset, yes, which is extremely normal upon entering water colder than they are used to and being overstimulated. Your instructor did not help him get more comfortable with “gentle encouragement” but rather focused on the other child who was with us and just kept moving through the lesson while I held my crying child. And regardless, as he did get comfortable, our time was cut short. We were also there 10 minutes early and still had no one to greet us, guide us through what to do, how to get started, and it still doesn’t explain why our lesson started 10 minutes late. Guess it’s on me for not knowing Thursdays are busier than others as a first time customer? Thanks for giving me my cancelled class refund back despite it being outside of your policy. Wouldn’t have known this since when I called to talk about my experience, you said “I’ve already put the refund through” Reviews are for me to talk about my experience and I was honest about ours. Please don’t turn it back around on me because my child was upset for the first 15 minutes.

We were in swim lessons at SSA in 2021 for one session, and it didn’t work for our family schedule at that time. I was so impressed with the changes from that time to when we rejoined in late 2024. The app and curriculum tracking is so helpful. The waiting area and watch me grow app are awesome for making lessons accessible and giving parents a good place to hang out while the kids are in lessons. Our lessons with Sidney are a regular part of our schedule and routine and my kids are excited to be safer swimmers!

The staff is very nice and the place is very clean, but the pool room is kept 80 and the water is 85 so although it sounds warm, it is a little chilly for little kids. The pool is also very small and the people who I am assuming were regulars seemed very aggravated that we were there.

this small, salt water pool is convenient and outdoor parking is never a problem. I've a flexible schedule. the pool is small (end to end is around -16 breast strokes), not crystal clear water but acceptable clarity, close to 5 ft at deepest, it's usually cold to get started not like the 80+ degrees noted in website, mostly marketed and busy for kids classes and very slow at other times. Salt water's gentler than chlorine so it's better for the swimsuit! there are 2 showers and water conservation and prudeness is encouraged. I really appreciate
most things about this pool because it suits my needs.
It's seldom happened but the most annoying thing is that closure can come as a surprise, especially during holidays or inclement weather. announcement can be made late or even worse, on the spot because of an "event" that's happening which they failed to mention. I was told that the schedule can change at moments notice so check everytine. It doesn't help that there is no one place to go to find out if they're open or closed. There are a few portals to check, their website, Facebook and call (good if someone answers) because never know if FB or website was most recently updated. I've mentioned this but I don't think they realize how inconvenient it is to drive there to find out they're closed. There has to be ONE sure, constant place for closure info.

My children enjoyed their time and their instructors were fine. I do find upper management a bit stand-offish and it is nearly impossible to schedule makeup classes unless you are a stay at home parent who can drop everything and rush there at a moment's notice after calling each and every day to see if there are any openings available. You cannot schedule a makeup class more than a day in advance which doesn't work well for most people. Obviously it's not ideal to miss a class, but one of ours was a cancelation on SSA's part which I would assume would have an easier make up option.

This was our second experience with swim classes here. My three year old was originally in a class by himself this session and needed some extra support to feel more confident. It was perfect timing that they introduced the new seahorse class with parents. He loved being in class with his dad for the remainder of the session! The teachers are so friendly. We will be back again in the fall!

They’re contracted with my communities HOA. They sent out an application to apply for pool passes but after 2 weeks we’re inquiring where they are and the “owner” leaves a snarky comment about how she got the applications and the pool doesn’t open yet … Okay, why not acknowledge the application and communicate when and how the passes would be sent rather than get an attitude that people are inquiring?
Our neighborhood also requested the pool hours be earlier in the day to allow folks to bring little ones before nap time but they want to open late and stay late which isn’t accommodating to the community.
Another thing they do outside of the community issues is they offer CPR but only late nights.

This place is excellent for everyone to learn and have fun.
The reason for the 3 stars is because it seems to me that the place is not at all friendly to change the babies to leave them ready for their class.
The women's restroom has only 1 baby changing station that is very loose and does not seem to be safe and you have to wait for your turn when there is someone using it and meanwhile your baby is chilling...
The bathrooms stay wet and in the tents there is no way to change a baby.
There are not enough cabinets or shelves where you can put your belongings while you change your clothes.
The hallways are very slippery, there is a rubber carpet that complicates things.
They should think about improving this in some way, it would also be excellent for someone to be more aware of the restrooms and prevent someone falls...

The pandemic closed the Winchester swim school I had taken my sons to for swimming lessons. Super Splasher Aquatics was the only indoor swim school I could find at the time. I wanted my youngest to continue lessons in a non-competitive atmosphere and at a pace that encouraged him to succeed.
My nine-year-old is currently in Dolphin level, but has been taking lessons there for over a year, so this review highlights SSA under the criteria of progress over time.
COMMUNICATION: SSA is working to improve its communication with families. While there is still more work to do in this area, it's evident that they are working hard to improve communicating through an enhanced website, signage, and posted expectations, etc. After lessons, instructors share how students are doing, either in regards to improving or encouraging them. I hope SSA continues making strides in this area and appreciate their efforts.
SPACE: One of the most frustrating aspects of SSA is its layout. The previous school I attended had one-way glass that enabled the parents to see lessons. This provided accountability and a safety structure that is overall lacking at SSA. While a surveillance style video app was displayed in the waiting room for a few weeks, it is no longer projected - putting the onus on the parent to use a phone app, instead. I have never been able to see my son in his swimming lessons and that has been disappointing. Even the previous school we went to (with the two-way glass) allowed parents to sit in at the end of a lesson halfway through class and at the last class to allow parents to see firsthand what their child had been learning, as well as to clearly share the instructor's expectations for the next session (such as stay in the current level or level up). I believe SSA would benefit from allowing parents to see how their child is treated and how their child is doing. I also want to point out that SSA's instructors are improving - at one of the first lessons I attended, a new instructor accidentally left class while no one was with the children by the pool for a few moments. I was appalled, reprimanded the instructor, and almost pulled my son out of lessons. I was reassured by staff that such things do not normally happen and the instructor apologized, ashamed of her decision. This hasn't happened since and I feel there is more accountability than there was.
PRICE: As most everything in the world today, the price has increased, even for group lessons. I'm paying almost 40% more than I was when I first started a little over a year ago. Pricing seems mysterious and should be better defined, more clearly on the website or at the information desk. As a homeschooling educator, I want my son to be a strong swimmer as a life skill, not as a competitor. Since there is no graduation certificate or swimming license or degree that follows the path of these swimming lessons, the cost seems higher than it should be for only about 6 half hour lessons in a session. I would not be able to afford this if I had more children enrolled.
Overall, SSA has shown vast improvement in its attempt to be more communicative, offer a more aesthetic and inviting space, and do what it's there for: to teach children to be confident swimmers in the water. I'm content there and feel it's a safer space for swimmers than it was a year ago.
More importantly, my son enjoys swimming lessons and looks forward to them each week. And, while the owner has not been receptive to parental feedback on the time of day and the days on which lessons are held; the swim instructor has been and even created an unscheduled class to meet my needs as a homeschooling educator. That alone is worth five stars. If I had not had some negative experiences with other staff priorly, if I was not so frustrated with the surveillance situation and layout of the facility, or if I felt more welcomed and valued by the owner, the rating would be higher.

DO NOT bring your children to this swimming school, please! My 3-year-old was mistreated in this place. My child is now traumatized and does not want to go to any pool. I requested the video that captured my 3yo being mistreated. The owner (Noelle Canas) not only refused to provide the video, she also threatened to involve her legal team if I requested the video again. Parents, if your child is already enrolled in this place; please request audio for the cameras or be inside the pool area to hear how they treat your child. If you have children under 4yo, DO NOT bring them to this school. Take your kids to other swimming schools with respectful instructors who have no problem with parents' presence inside the pool area. Absolutely disappointed! I tried to share an issue of my son being insecure in the water on his SECOND CLASS hoping that the staff would take my concern into consideration, instead of giving me any sign of empathy or response, she instantly shut me down saying "every kid is scared" and walked away like what I said did not matter to her. It was extremely rude, and for this reason he will be not coming back here. My experience was absolutely terrible and not even close to the first time he was enrolled last year. So far I like this place. It appears to be well taken care of as far as the restrooms and pool area. The waiting area for the parents/family is small and I don't think the trash can has been cleaned in......a while. I do enjoy being able to watch the lessons on my phone so that way I don't have to necessarily wait in the waiting area. My child is enjoying the swim lessons and the instructors have been nice. I wish they had more coverage at the front desk. There's been quite a few times that I tried to call and it just rings. I wish they offered more back-to-back swim sessions or longer ones as we travel from Strasburg for a 30 minute session. I think my child would benefit more from a longer session too. Overall though I would recommend this place to others.

Super Splashers stands head and shoulders above the rest! My son took lessons at three swimming pools over three different years before we came to Super Splashers. The other pools hardly taught him anything. The one pool that did was so expensive that we couldn't possibly continue there. But now, thanks to Ms. Hailey at Super Splashers, my son can swim independently and loves it! We have all four of our children enrolled in Super Splashers now and wouldn't dream of going anywhere else.

Super Splashers Aquatics at Delco Plaza is a fantastic swim school for children. They also offer classes and swimming for adults as well. Their facility is WELL maintained as it's ALWAYS clean and organized. In the current COVID restrictions, they have offered the opportunity to watch your child via a live feed broadcast on a large TV as you wait in the open indoor courtyard outside of the pool area. We have been with Super Splashers for well over a year and my son has gone from level 3 and is now participating in their swim team. The level of swim knowledge and swimming skill that my son has developed through their well organized curriculum is astonishing and he still continues to advance, build on prior skills for more advanced skills, and most of all have fun! We DEFINITELY recommend Super Splashers to anyone looking for a clear, well organized, result driven program. I am a former competitive swimmer myself, and I find the skills Super Splashers teaches are refined and correct from day 1. Noelle and Sarah are fantastic to work with, they are professional, kind, and will do everything in their power to serve you! You will not be disappointed with Super Splashers Aquatics!

Very professional and affordable. They have a little tv set up, so you can watch your kids swim, but not have to be in the hot humid air of the indoor pool room.

We love Super Splasher Aquatics! The staff is always very knowledgeable and did an amazing job getting our boys comfortable with the water AND the instructor. They absolutely love her and now look forward to swim class every week. The owner truly cares about our children, is very positive and we've seen great strides in both boys. The office is quick to respond to emails and any questions I have. Would recommend to anyone who's littles need time to come into their own, they're very patient.

We love Super Splashers. Great place to teach your children to swim. Our personal favorite is Ms.Elizabeth. She is a great teacher & very patient with the children. When we started my daughter liked the water but not in her face. She is now going under water!

Absolutely love Super Splasher and would highly recommend them! All 3 of my children have learned how to swim from Noelle and her team and so thankful for them. They made it seem fun and took their time in explaining water safety which was really important to me since we have a pool.

All of my children have learned how to swim through SSA and Noelle. In our household she is affectionately called "The Kid Swim Whisperer" Even one of my toughest, no water in the face kids, loves to be in the pool or ocean now. Great company and instructors, I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for swim lessons for their children.

Very disappointed and would not recommend for the price we paid. We had wanted to get swimming classes for our 7 year old, 5 year old, and 4 year old boys. It was on the pricey side but we were told we going do a group discount if we did all three in the same class so we did that. Our 7 year old has been swimming for a couple of years but we wanted him to become a stronger swimmer, our 5 year old has been swimming for a year, and the 4 year old hadn't been swimming yet on his own. We wanted, and were told, that they would be pushed. Well, after a few classes the teach wouldn't let even our 7 year old swim by himself. The 7 year old and 5 year old were asking to be able to swim and dive for toys in the pool but the teach would not let them. Even after my wife told the teacher that they have been swimming and what we wanted she wouldn't listen. The level of swimming was appropriate for our 4 year old, not the other two.
This, unfortunately, was only the beginning of the issues. We went to the company complaining about this, especially considering how much we were paying for these classes. It was completely useless for our two older boys. First off it was hard to get a hold of the owner, get call backs, responses to emails, etc. She/they would respond sometimes but then if we didn't reach out we wouldn't get anything for awhile. It took us about 5 months to try to work this out and that didn't happen. They would say things like kids aren't going to learn as much in a group class. Well, if that was the case we should have been told that in the first place and we wouldn't have done a group class. But that was also blamed on us. Nothing really was done or said about the teacher ignoring our requests to let the older ones swim. They seemed intent on blaming us rather then actually fixing the issue. We would have been open to retaking the classes for the older two initially, but by the time we got to that point it was the end of summer and too late.
I have numerous examples of this in some of the email back and forth which I will try to refresh myself again and update this review with that information as well. In the end their solution was to refund us 29.50 of the 200 dollars saying that it was both their fault and our fault. I don't see in anyway how it was out fault, but that was consistent with the owner trying to blame us through most of the complaint process.
In summary, the class was fine for our 4 year old, but a complete waste of money and time for the older two. The customer service from the owner was non-existent since she was blaming us and the teacher ignoring our requests was very frustrating. We would have been much better off taking the kids to Frederick County pool and paying for their cheaper classes.
