Did Push/Pull with Gwen at SweatBox in Ballston and had a great workout! It was challenging and fun and they did an outstanding job acclimating firstimes such as myself, making sure I understood the movements, cadence and settings on the bike. Super clean and nice studio! Highly Recommend!

These have been the best workouts of my life—challenging, energizing, and incredibly effective. You truly feel every muscle working, and the sense of accomplishment afterward is unmatched. It's not just a great workout; it's also a lot of fun. What makes it even better are the exceptional instructors—Gwen and Mike are absolutely outstanding. Their energy, expertise, and motivation made every session something to look forward to. I’ve truly enjoyed being part of this gym, and I’m genuinely sad to be leaving due to my move. I’ll miss it so much!

Sweatbox classes have been my favorite exercise classes in the area. They’re full 60 minutes of either spinning or strength exercises with quick transitions, so you do get a phenomenal sweat session. One of the few places that offers a cardio and strength combo where the cardio part is spinning and not running, which is what I was looking for. The playlists are high energy, all the coaches are great, but Gwen is just awesome.
I’ve been using ClassPass to book the classes, and they’ve been very reasonably priced. Conveniently located inside Vida gym, close to the metro.

I joined Vida last month after quarantining for the last 4 months due to their awesome safety protocols and covid precautions taken by the club. I received a SweatBox trial with my membership and after 3 classes, I can honestly say that I am officially ADDICTED! You can buy an unlimited 2 week trial for $39 which is an unreal deal for this level of workout.
I'd compare SweatBox to Barry's Boot Camp in terms of being a killer HIIT workout. Barry's is a favorite workout of mine, however unfortunately I have bad knees so SweatBox is WAY better for me because it's just as intense (if not more) but substitutes cycling for the treadmill segments. I also love that unlike OTF and Barry's, you have your own "box" of space, equipment, weights, and bike so you don't have to share sweat with someone else which is especially crucial during the pandemic.
I'm one of those people who don't feel like I worked out hard enough unless I'm in some pain/suffering through the class (in a good way) and SweatBox never disappoints! Since all of Vida is 100% masked for everyone's safety, they recommend wearing a disposable mask for the class and provide it if you don't have one.
My favorite instructors so far as Cali, Shawn, and Wes. They're all incredibly motivating and really kick your butt! Their variety of classes include full body aka full throttle and also targeted area days (such as arms, butt, chest, etc) which are all simply are AMAZING!
Overall, the SweatBox instructors are absolutely top notch and trust me, you'll get an unbelievable workout! You won't have a single moment of boredom and really feel it in your body the entire next day. I've brought my cousin and now my husband who are also totally OBSESSED. We will all be purchasing class packs and I'm thinking about adding on the membership. Can't recommend Sweatbox enough, it's 100% one of the best classes out there!
