My granddaughter is in her 2nd year of dance here and has gone from too scared to walk in to asking everyday if she has class. Her teacher for most of her classes has been Miss Megan. She is not only is great at teaching tap and ballet, she is is very kind. That goes along way in my book. The entire staff has been very patient with me as I reenter the world of classes and recitals that I had been out of for 25 years.

It's an awesome award winning School. Only, I would love to see black girls on the windows. We have alot of Beautiful black girls in our program. Just would love for them to be represented as well as others.

First off I have a shy girl who would normally take some time to really open up. This is her first time doing gymnastics and on her first day she’s such a different out going young lady. I really appreciate the instructors, when I asked her how her class was she was so excited to show, and tell me everything. She went nonstop about how the instructors helped her and show her the technique and she didn’t feel left out or confused. The price is so reasonable as I am a single mom I love for my kids to be active and participate in things. So far this is a wonderful school I will definitely update we had till June so I know there will be hiccups but I’m more about the communication and the timing it takes resolving the issues that’s what I look for.

I cannot say enough about the support staff and instructors - TOP NOTCH. My daughter danced for eight years at another studio and did not realize the potential she realized in two years of training under the instructors at The Academy of Dance. Bravo to these beautiful people! You have nurtured and developed a confident and beautiful dancer.

My daughter has been going to the Academy of Dance in Yorktown for the last 9 years. She has had different teachers over the years and they have all be wonderful. Recitals have been great and the studio does try to keep the parents in the loop about what is going on ahead of time.

My daughter started AOD at age 3 and has loved dancing at this studio the past 3 years! Christmas and Spring recitals are impressive! The teachers definitely know what they are doing even with the little ones! Highly recommend!

My sister and I have both danced here for a long time, and we couldn’t imagine being anywhere else. This studio is the best environment for dancers of all skill levels! The teachers were so kind and patient back when I was first starting as a beginner, and I always look forward to coming to dance every day. I have made so many friendships at this studio, and the teachers and staff always go the extra mile to make sure their students are gaining the best possible learning experience from every class.

They have to split the shows up into smaller shows due to COVID now, which is OK. What’s irritating is purposely putting kids from the same family in separate shows so families have to pay for a whole extra set of tickets. I get it, COVID is rough on business right now, but squeezing extra money out of the performers families is tasteless. They are all dealing with the pandemic too.

It's a good school but small. My daughter loves it so I continue to pay for it. There is hardly enough room for parents to wait amf very crowded at drop off and pick up.
