Some of the best gifts in life are the unexpected… the Iron Sanctuary is one of those for me. Coming off of a few challenging years personally and physically, I hired a trainer in a last minute decision, to coach and challenge and encourage me on my health journey. And so I was introduced to the Iron Sanctuary 🤍 I feel seen and welcomed when I walk through the doors. I often smile to myself at times when warming up on the treadmill , with the camaraderie and cheers of those working out. This is a place that is safe to “be” no matter your fitness journey. And truly is a haven (sanctuary) for many.

My favorite gym by far! It's the perfect size—never too crowded—and the community is full of genuinely helpful people who are always happy to offer guidance when needed. Most importantly, it feels safe and welcoming, with none of the uncomfortable vibes you sometimes find elsewhere.

The Iron Sanctuary truly feels like family. Huge shoutout to Pete—he's helped me go from having little guy to big muscle BMI and building strength across the board with workouts tailored specifically to my goals.

If you appreciate an old-school, no-frills iron gym with heart, this is the place!

Came to Lynchburg for 6 months for the police academy and wanted to join a gym just for my time up here. Been working out for 9 years and was told about this place by a couple people. Spencer “Owner” let me do a day pass to check it out and i loved it. Awesome environment and people. The owner probably one of the coolest people i ever met and an awesome trainer and will help you out whichever way possible. Definitely highly recommend checking it out. The atmosphere here is different for sure. Everyone in there wants to see you succeed in the gym. 💪🏼

I've been to a lot of gyms, and this one stands out for all the right reasons-- great equipment, great people, and an even better atmosphere. There's no pressure or ego here, just a supportive space where you can show up for yourself and actually enjoy it. You're not just another member like at a big-box gym.

My favorite gym in Lynchburg and I’ve been a member at them all! A tight community, but welcoming to everyone. Albeit a smaller gym in size, it has everything you need for a solid lift. It’s definitely a place to put your nose to the grindstone while among individuals who support large goals and real, hard, work. I have worked with Owner/Trainer, Spencer Schock for a year now and have gained incredible results with his guidance and support.
