Alvie has been my trainer for a year now, and what stands out about him right away is his empathy. He genuinely listens, understands where you are on any given day, and adjusts your workouts accordingly – no ego, just presence.
I’ve watched his own transformation over the last year, and it makes his guidance even more powerful. He lives what he teaches. He’s committed to helping you improve your overall quality of life, and you can feel that dedication in every session.
He’s incredibly intuitive. The way he handles challenges, resolves tension, and shows up for people is something I hear about often and also experience firsthand. When you’re training with him, you truly feel like you’re his only client. He’s friendly, grounded, and he pays attention to the details that matter.
He never pushes you past your boundaries, but he always makes sure you’re giving your best. His focus on correct form — especially in a strength-training environment built on lower intensity with heavier weights — is invaluable. He knows exactly how to guide you without overwhelming you.

I have been working out at The Perfect Workout for 1.5 years. As a woman in her early 50’s, building and maintaining muscle mass is important to me and TPW has been great for me. Here’s what I love about TPW: 1) very knowledgeable trainers who follow a system of training and are great at adjusting for injuries or other limitations, 2) online booking and cancelling, 3) multiple locations, 4) being able to track my progress on the app, 5) being able to lift heavy weights without incurring injury. Highly recommend the Falls Church location!

I look forward to my weekly Perfect Workout. Every trainer with whom I have worked has calibrated each session to incrementally advance my fitness, all the while keeping careful watch to prevent injury. Steve, my usual trainer, has gone out of his way to research and accommodate spinal idiosyncrasies, to design a personal, challenging workout for me - compressed into 20 minutes. Other trainers (notably Kenny and Lucas) have also been terrifically encouraging. Altogether an upbeat and health-filled experience.

I have been working out with the trainers at the Falls Church location for almost 2 years. People have noticed my arms and legs are toned. Initially I had no core strength and now I can stand on 1 leg without wobbling, I can leg press 275 pounds and routinely pull 70 to 80 lbs on the row and chest press. Not bad for a middle aged gal. My trainers push me hard but its fun like family now and Kenny has rhymes that make you laugh and cry at the same time. I have just renewed for another year, twice a week, 20 minutes, no lie, in and out in 30. This workout is a commitment and worth it!

I've been a Perfect Workout client for 18 months and, at age 80, I am in the best physical shape of my life.
