Britt makes working out fun, accessible, and motivating. They take the time to really learn what your goals are, and tailor a program that works best for your needs. They explain things in an enthusiastic and non-pretentious way that is much appreciated in the fitness realm. I recommend Britt to everyone. Training is like hanging out with your hype bestie and you will look forward to every session!

Oh wow, Britt at Resistance + Co. is the real deal. After only a few sessions, I already feel so much support, genuine encouragement and enthusiasm, and like a ton stronger. Britt takes evidence-based strength training/barbell practices and really helps support you where you are to get stronger. I'll be training with them for a long dang time. Reach out to them if you want a supportive, inclusive, super cool trainer!

I recently got started with Britt at R + Co. and it has been an incredibly empowering experience so far! I am a complete beginner when it comes to barbell/strength training but Britt makes it super accessible and creates a fun and safe environment. Highly recommend!!

I've been working with Britt at R+Co. for 6 months both in-person and through the virtual training program. It's honestly been one of the best fitness experiences I've ever had! Britt lays out workout sessions that are functional and well-rounded plus easy to understand and do most anywhere. They are super easy to contact and get feedback/ help/ encouragement! I feel so much stronger both physically and mentally since starting with Britt!!

I was visiting family in Richmond last week and had the good fortune to drop in for a training session with Britt. I’ve been strength training for a couple of decades and have decent strength. But I have holes in my training and my session with Britt certainly addressed some of those. I greatly enjoyed and benefited from a dynamic workout that left me energized and which will inform how I train in the future. I look forward to returning to Richmond for more sessions with Britt and recommend others do the same.

Britt has been my trainer since early 2021 and I’ve gotten so much stronger since then! They’ve gotten me to try competitions, perfect my form, and be happy with getting stronger instead of looking a certain way. As a queer plus-sized person the gym environment has never been quite a safe space for me. With Britt however it’s not just become safe it’s become a safe haven! Going once a week to not only get my body moving but to be comfortable IN my body! I couldn’t recommend them enough! Truly grateful that I came across them when I did and only wish I could’ve sooner.

I’ve been training with Britt for almost a year now and it’s really changed my life. I had no idea what I was getting into when I filled out their new client intake form. I made a huge investment in myself and paid them two months upfront so I could build a routine. It was the best thing I did for myself in 2021!! All I wanted before I turned 30 was to not feel so sore from my hospitality job all the time. I felt like I always needed my days off to recover bc of how hard the industry was on my body. Since training with Britt, I no longer get sore the next day! I have my productive days off back. I never in my life thought I would have fun lifting weights. I don’t even think I thought I’d be lifting weights when I first filled out their intake form honestly. Now it’s come to be one of my favorite parts of the week!! I have so much more energy after lifting. Lastly, starting my training with Britt jump started me into getting more consistent with yoga and stretching- something I had been wanting for years but couldn’t seem to stay consistent. Britt is my hype person! If you’ve been lost at the gym for years like me I highly recommend setting up something with Resistance and Co or another trainer they’re networked with!

I’m so glad I met Britt! I enjoy strength training but struggle feeling confident with it because of a long history of back pain and injuries. They are sensitive to that and respect my boundaries while also encouraging me to test them once in a while. Turns out I’m able to do a lot more than I thought I was! They’re great at keeping sessions safe, with open communication between us, so we can modify if necessary. I’m a massage therapist and I’m able to see more clients per week since training with Britt. Training with them is one of the most fun hours out of my week!

I’ve been training with Britt every 2 weeks for months now and all I got to say is, stop thinking about it AND DO IT. I’m thankful every training weekend. It makes me feel so good and Britt is incredibly attentive, knowledgeable, and a great coach. I’m getting to know my body better and feel stronger AND as a plus sized queer babe I have always felt seen and at home here. Do it.
