The people who work there look like they couldn’t care any less if you like it or not because business is going so well for them. They took my daughter to her first class today and not knowing what to expect. She wore sandals. It’s a tumbling class so I assumed barefoot was OK. Apparently they must wear sneakers and they wouldn’t make an exception and the girl at the front barely looked up from the computer when I asked if they had any sneakers, they could sell me or if they could give me a refund for the class. I ended up getting some other person who came over and gave me a speech about their insurance liability And would not consider allowing my daughter to do one class in sandals. She finally agreed to refund my $15 but that it would take four or five days to process. Needless to say, we won’t be back.

Entering our 5th season at Stingrays in Ashburn this year and our daughter loves being part of a competitive team at this gym. Over the years her coaches have encouraged her and helped her grow as an athlete. She also takes private lessons and goes to classes to work on current skills and learn new ones. We love that she is passionate about her sport and that she feels at home in this gym!!

Extremely Disappointed – Not Recommended . I enrolled my daughter in the StingRay AllStars youth summer camp (7/7–7/11, 9am–12pm), and the experience was incredibly disappointing. She has three years of cheer experience and previously attended Hot Topic Cheer Camp for two weeks this summer with no issues. That camp was clean, well-run, and enjoyable StingRay was the complete opposite.

On day one, my daughter came home upset, saying she never wanted to go back. She described a room covered in dog hair and a fly infestation .She also said the kids were made to eat lunch on the floor because they had a bench but all of the kids couldn’t fit on it .Her clothes had visible animal hair (we don’t own pets), and she developed a small rash on her face possibly from pet dander or an unclean floor.

The camp lacked structure. There were no warmups or drills, just an immediate focus on learning a routine for a parent “showcase” on Friday. It felt rushed and unprofessional, not developmentally appropriate or safe.

When I reached out to Fatima to express concern, the response was dismissive . No apology, no accountability. Just $195 wasted.A classic case of one of those money hungry gyms that care more about the money than the skills and team .

We were hoping to explore gym options before our move to VA next year, but after this experience, we won’t be considering StingRay AllStars. Do your research, there are much better camps in the area. Hot Topic Cheer Camp is one I can recommend.

Our daughter has been cheering at Stingrays for the past two years, starting on a half-year team and now proudly cheering on an elite team. She has absolutely fallen in love with the sport! The coaches are phenomenal—supportive, knowledgeable, and truly invested in helping each athlete grow. She also takes tumbling classes, and every coach we’ve encountered has been top-notch. If you’re interested in cheer, I highly recommend Stingrays Ashburn!

My girls who have stayed with this team through thick and thin, been so loyal, dedicated ALL of their time and energy, randomly got cut after being PROMISED a spot on their team. My girls are older, were promised a spot on the older teams, but got asked if they wanted to be on a team with 7 year olds, my girls nicely declined the offer because they thought that were getting their promised spot, but instead got cut. That is just mean behavior, and I am disappointed in the coaches. I don’t recommend this team for girls looking to do cheer.

I recently had the unfortunate experience of encountering a girl who met my daughter yesterday, and I must say, it was extremely disappointing. My daughter tried to engage in conversation, asking a few innocent questions as she is very excited in joining this place and learn something, but she was completely ignored. The girl didn’t even attempt to acknowledge her inquiries. To make matters worse, her facial expression was cold and unwelcoming, as if she was intentionally trying to create an uncomfortable atmosphere. The tone she used was dismissive, almost as though she was saying, “get out,” without saying it directly. It was a disheartening experience, especially for a child trying to connect. I hope they realize how important it is to treat others, with kindness and respect.

We have been a Rays family for years, and have had a positive experience. This year we have a new coach, Zac, who is incredible. He coaches tough, but in the right way. My daughter does not respond well to yelling, belittling, shaming, etc--which tends to be the go-to for coaches. This year is different--and it's working! My daughter said he ENCOURAGES them to be better--so they WANT to be better! Coaches have such a responsibility to be positive role models to our girls--and he is delivering 100%!

After a few months there was absolutely no progress at all. The trainers are just killing time. They start with stretching and spend more than 20 minutes of the given hour on that, but do not really care that most kids do it wrong. Then they have breaks to drink water. Again and again. The kids aren't even properly warmed up. No sweating, no real work out. What are all those drinking breaks for? They won't dehydrate from standing around?
It is really obvious that the trainers are just stretching every single exercise to immeasurable length. And why do the kids have to perform everything one at a time even when there are two trainers? Another annoying thing is that the trainers don't pay attention to detail...not even basics. I feel like they don't see or care what the kids are doing. Not worth the money and time we spent.

Absolutely horrible customer service! I called to inquire about cheerleading camp for my daughter. The girl who answered the phone sounded like she didn’t want to be at work. I asked her if she could tell me the price or cheerleading camp and my daughter is 11. She said we have a lot of camps. I said she is 11 so you would have to tell me about the camps. She said well what does she want to do. I told her never mind your response has made me not want to come at all. I told her two times what my daughter wanted to do and her age. Her attitude was horrible. Customer service is everything to me and unfortunately they didn’t do it for me!

This gym has everything my child has been looking for! Warm welcoming staff and coaches! Coaches that not only explain while training, most are actively doing the skill or physically making motions to throughly explain. No one is on their cell phones or sitting down.. every child is extremely focused and being pushed to their limit! The passion for cheer is beaming when you first step in the doors! My kiddo wanted to be challenged and she is surely getting that and then some! My favorite is how the coaches also take time to speak to the parent and inform them on how the athlete is doing. Between amazing communication and the awesome office manager with detailed information provided.. I am beyond happy with Stingrays!!! This gym is building champions along with keeping the passion and fun all tied in! Highly recommending to our friends!

They have both progressed greatly with their skills and have been afforded many opportunities on the teams by the coaches. This gym is extremely inclusive of male athletes and truly values them. This is truly one of the most top notch training facilities for cheer. The coaches are invested in each athlete’s growth - both physically and emotionally. My daughter loved her team and they earned a Summit bid at their first National competition, it was the work ethic and confidence instilled by the coaches that allowed each athlete to flourish and together the team went undefeated. I highly recommend this gym if you want your athlete to be challenged physically and mentally. They offer a variety of classes at all levels as well as private lessons for individualized training!

This program is truly the best program in Northern Virginia. They have the best coaches that really do shape these athletes through hard work and dedication. This program will strengthen your athlete's true potential with a regimen that they use at all of their gyms. My daughter's jumps are just about maxed out in half a season and they strive to score in the upper 90's by their second competition. Not only has my daughter's team done that but by their 3rd comp they have a PAID bid to Summit. They have already won their division, received Grand Champs, and a PAID bid to US Finals. This program is truly amazing. You will not regret bringing your athletes here.

Our first year as a Stingray family has been amazing! We have seen our daughter grow in both skills and confidence this year. She has loved her team, her coaches, and the overall environment. As a parent, I have seen how the coaches set high expectations for their athletes and help them rise to achieve them. If I had to describe The Stingray Allstars Virginia in one word it would be FAMILY! The coaches, parents and cheerleaders are always supportive of one another, whether inside or outside of the gym. This gym has helped mold my daughter into the person she is today. Sydney came to this gym 4 years ago as a less confident person, who could only do a back walkover, and even that wasn’t pretty. In 4 years, due to the expertise of the coaches and support of her teammates, she has become a much more confident person, not just athlete and has acquired skills up to level 4 and has begun working on her full. She has learned how to push through the struggles and rejoice in the accomplishments of not just herself, but her teammates. Sydney has learned about hard work, dedication, perseverance, setting goals, and working with a team. She has learned what it feels like when all of those things come together to allow you to accomplish greatness! I truly believe the lessons she is learning through allstar cheer, and specifically this gym, are lessons that will carry her far in life, not just cheer! We are PROUD to be part of The Stingray Allstars of Virginia family!!

Our three daughters all cheer at the Stingray Allstars of Virginia. As soon as you walk into the lobby of the gym you feel such a positive vibe and energy! We are so impressed with the program, coaching, and overall experience. Stingrays has been instrumental in reinforcing our values of teamwork, hard work, and persistence. This gym has helped all athletes to develop great character and time management, all while having such a fun time with their friends and coaches. This is our first season as Singrays, but our third season cheering. We have two children in the All-Star program. For us, the thing that keeps us coming back every season is the way this gym feels like a family. Kyle is at every single competition and always involved on the mat. All of the coaches are invested in all of the athletes: my kids are coached by Jen, Gabi, Jacob, and BB...but literally every other coach at one point or another had a hand in helping them work on their skills. The most important things to me as a parent are that my kids learn teamwork and safety, good sportsmanship and positivity...and all of those things are equally important to everyone affiliated with the Stingray Allstars. We will definitely continue with this gym in future seasons!

I have had 2 daughters at All Star Legacy during the past 5 years, and I couldn't be happier with the progress and growth they have made over the years. I find the coaching staff to be highly skilled, positive and knowledgeable in determining the individual abilities of each of their athletes. They have encouraged my daughters along the way and worked to instill the confidence that was necessary for them to take the floor and excel at competitions. They have continued to grow in their ability level and skills and their coaches have taught them the true meaning of commitment and teamwork!

Thank you All Star Legacy for a great cheer experience! My daughter has been cheering here for 7 years. Year over year, she has learned and developed new skills to advance her to the next level. She has received nothing but a positive experience from the owners, coaches and staff.
