I love this gym! Where else can you get a weight room, cardio & strength-training classes, & training in boxing, kickboxing, BJJ, & MMA under one roof? Since joining, I’ve lost 40+ lbs, won two kickboxing tournaments, & made some amazing friends. Not bad for a 51-year-old. Also, its community is the best. It’s more like a family than coaches & members. I highly, highly recommend this place!

I've seen multiple sides of the gym being an intern, coach, and member all in the same year and have nothing but great things to say about it. The coaches all bleed good vibes and make the space very welcoming and accepting for all demographics. The cohesion and the teamwork shines in the special classes we have every once in a while and there's always something to look forward to. The level of instruction is very high quality and safety is always a number one priority. The members are all very welcoming and it's hard to not feel apart of the community. If you're considering jumping into combat sports for fun, competition, or whatever reason, you should definitely give UFC Gym a shot!

I recently joined UFC Gym Fairfax after not having been to a gym in years. The atmosphere is incredibly welcoming and it was easy to feel comfortable right away. All of the coaches are friendly and knowledgeable and you can tell that management cares a lot about the members. The Friday noon class with Coach Colt is one of my favorites and he makes it challenging and funny even with all the burpees. After only a few months I’m really glad I joined and look forward to
continuing my training here.

My personal trainer, Colton, has been a major help in my fitness journey. He's helped me shaped my diet and feeling confident with weight lifting after years of inactivity. Him and the rest of the staff have been supportive and instrumental into getting back into shape. I never would have tried classes like Muay Thai if it wasn't for the instructors that lead them.

Best gym ever. The price for the membership is well worth it as you get to workout like never before with coaches that motivate you beyond your limits. Took me a long while to decide to do personal training and the price for that is well worth it as well. One PT session is worth 5 classes. You get to connect and build yourself along with others in this gym. Huge shoutout to coach Colt who led me towards a highly effective workout routine.

I have been a member of UFC Gym Fairfax for many years now, and I continue to love this gym. The staff bring a lot of knowledge to their members, and the culture is very friendly and welcoming here.
I recently had a PT session with Colt, who brought a lot of extensive knowledge regarding lifting. He also teaches an excellent boxing class and ensures each person is challenged based on their individual fitness level. He also has a nutrition program for anyone interested in that area of fitness as well. There are so many great coaches here who bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the gym.
The facility is also clean and bright, and just generally great to work out in. Shout out to Lauren, the current GM, who is also doing a great job of making this a fun space for everyone.

Been training a couple years at a few diff boxing and fighting gyms and the quality of coaching at UFC Fairfax is much better than the 2 other gyms I’ve been to by far. Really impressed with the coaching here, and I highly recommend coach Colt~ It feels like I’ve improved more in the 2 months I’ve trained with him than in the past year elsewhere

Very satisfied with my visit to UFC Gym Fairfax, coaches are knowledgeable and a pleasure to learn from. Being an out-of-towner they all made me feel right at home. Definitely a great place to learn martial arts at whichever level you are at, and if you are only looking to workout they have all the equipment you could ask for in a gym. Well worth your hard earned money because the community there is strong, supportive and open to new people. Do yourself a favor and get healthy this summer. 💪😁

The gym and staff are phenomenal. I signed up a few weeks ago along with my 13yo son who has taken an interest in boxing and fitness.
I trialed other group fitness classes in the area but they were too loud and chaotic for me (F45, Orange Theory, etc). I had almost given up and resigned myself to my home gym… until I discovered UFC Fairfax.
All of the coaches here are truly wonderful people. Shoutouts to Lauren for being so helpful/welcoming and Izzy for his fun but brutal workouts. I’ve done a mix of about a dozen classes so far and found them challenging but easy to follow and every member I’ve interacted with has been chill/helpful. The gym and bathrooms are clean, the equipment is in good shape, and the space never feels crowded or too loud.
In short it’s a wonderful mix of staff and members; the classes are challenging, well-planned, and fun; and you can tailor workouts to your own comfort and fitness level.

The UFC Gym in Fairfax is a great gym that has lots of different training and fitness options. I was only interested in their conditioning classes to get a workout on the bags and those classes really give you a great workout while also being a good time.
All the coaches I had classes with (Leo, Kieran, Lauren, Kaitlin, and Zach) show that they really care about helping you get fit and learn some techniques.
Don’t be intimidated by the UFC brand as this gym is welcoming of all fitness and skill levels. Checkout their Instagram to get the vibe and sign up for a free class!
I had a membership for about 6 months but had to cancel because we moved.

This is a very well-run gym with an friendly and knowledgable staff. The facility is clean and the equipment is well-maintained. The staff is always helpful and the manager (Ashlee) and assistant manager (Lauren) are always immediately responsive to user's needs.
While the gym seems primarily focused on the fitness crowd, there is a group of more fight-minded regulars among the members that makes for a fun community and the management is accommodating of all types. I have studied martial arts most of my life and signed up at this UFC Gym mostly because of locational convenience for my difficult schedule. I prefer to train on my own, rather than attend the fitness classes, and the staff has always been completely friendly and helpful in facilitating this. I have worked one-on-one with Zach (BJJ) and Calvin (Boxing). I found both to be top notch trainers -- very strong in their respective styles with all the technical knowledge to create engaging sessions for even an experienced martial arts student. Furthermore, Ashlee and Lauren are both well educated in exercise science and have provided me strong advice on injury rehab and maintenance.
The gym is busy at primetime (6-8 PM), but even so it is never "too crowded" to get a good workout and the staff does a great job at creating a sense of community among the regulars. Ideally, the gym would be about 50% bigger and would be open until 11, but these are small complaints compared to the excellent experience I've had. I would recommend this gym to anyone in the area.

Excellent combat sports gym. Coaches know their stuff, workouts are tough but rewarding. Welcoming environment and — trust me — no one will punch you in the face unless you join a sparring class. I recommend mixing up bag classes with strength training. I’ve personally watched multiple ppl go from complete newbies to extremely fit and skilled martial artists. You get out what you put in!

The people are nice when you try to sign up! But when you try to cancel the experience was not pleasant. They said I need to give them 30 days notice! But when I gave them the notice they said they will charge me for two months because it’s too close to the billing cycle. So basically it should say you need sixty day notice and not 30 days notice. And when asked why this was not explained when I joined the manager responded I explained every thing may be there was a “language barrier”!! I am very disappointed with them. How nice they were when I signed up and how bad the experience was when I tried to cancel.

Just signed up this week. Great atmosphere, great team!
Update 8 months later:
I've been attending the gyms boxing/kickboxing/strength training classes 5/6 times per week for the last 8 months and these are the results: I've lost 25lbs, gained muscle, increased endurance and overall am living a much better life. I love the gyms community atmosphere. The trainers know everyone's names and when you walk in you are surrounded by friends. Thank you to all the staff for making this place so wonderful!

This evening I was at the Costco parking lot. I had bought 3x40 water bottles.
2 years ago, I tagged along with my friends and made them load the water cases. And I never took it out of the trunk. I used to take a the bottles in small batches. Why? You may wonder..
BACK PAIN !! ( Couldn't afford physical therapy. Had a collection of empty Advil bottles and punctured ice packs)
Fast forward to almost 3 years of training at this wonderful place. I now loaded the water cases without batting an eye.
That's what they did to me. I was a complete fitness noob. I hated exercise ( still do:P) .
They listened to me, worked with my limitations and have almost done away with them through functional+strength training. Well, we are still working with my wrist pain, but it is an occupational hazard (IT, mouse and keyboards :( )
Have been in and out of gyms all through my adult life.THIS IS THE ONLY GYM that I have been coming to continuously with the exception of lockdown.
I'm eternally grateful to coach Ashlee for bringing this change, nah transformation in me. And thanks to the wonderful coach Lauren who picked up the baton from her.
I do admit that there's a little bit of a learning curve with the group training sessions. But, all the coaches are patient and helpful and they follow up with you to correct your form.
When it comes to personal training sessions, they've always been very accomodative of my schedule and they give their 100% focus throughout the duration of the session. Only downside is that you can't slack or miss a rep. They push you to perfection.
I've been to greedy gyms and also corporate regulated big box gyms. Have met good trainers there as well. But their hands are tied due to corporate policies. UFC Fairfax is not one of those places.

All my family members have joined UFC Fairfax. We have been training for a little over a year there. I’m glad to share our experience. All the coaches are great and positive. Management is supportive and understanding. I recommend to any new members to really listen carefully to the advice given, take their time learning about the culture of the gym, and most importantly listen to their bodies! Don’t skip on warmup, stretching, and drink lots of water. If you do so, you will see positive results, and you will enjoy working out there. In short, we enjoy going there:))

I've been a member at UFC Fairfax for about a year and have to say it's a great gym. I've taken Kelly, Ashlee's, Josh's and Gustavo's classes and they all do a really good job of mixing it up and keeping you engaged throughout the workout. (Think all the coaches are probably great just haven't taken a few of their classes due to my schedule) All of the staff and coaches are super nice and if you are new to boxing/kickboxing they will really help you out and get you going. I am not sure if my response to Kayleigh Zinkham posted correctly, so here's my response for everyone to read. I'll post my own review below my response. Please note that everyone is entitled to their opinion and you should judge for yourself what you think of this gym:
Kayleigh, I have seen this same post by you elsewhere and I'm quite surprised by it. I've been attending this gym since 2012 when they were still L.A. Boxing, and have never seen management or any of the other coaches treat anyone like this. I can't help but think there must be more to this story. My experience is that the manager, Kelly, and the other coaches are nothing but friendly, respectful, and upbeat to all gym members. My opinion is that your experience at the gym is what you personally make of it. I am sorry things didn't work out for you here. For the record, I have never witnessed a coach or manager tell someone they had to move due to lack of space. I have also watched the coaches share the ring during personal training sessions. In addition, I have shared my bag more than once if classes were full, and have watched others do the same.
My review:
I've been going to this gym since 2012 and love it! After Kelly took over as Manager, a really cool variety of classes have been added. There is boxing, kickboxing, MMA, BJJ, and a Daily Ultimate Training (DUT) class taught by Coach Ed that is really popular. If you have kids, UFC Gym Fairfax also offers youth classes. Kelly also teaches, and let me tell you when I say his classes are no joke! You'll get a great workout while having fun! The other coaches are awesome, as well. Due to my work schedule, I usually end up taking classes with Coaches Ashlee, Arvin, Ed, and Ronald. Each coach is upbeat and offers his/her own unique style. You're bound to find a class(es) that you enjoy. There are quite a few of us regulars there, and I guarantee you that we wouldn't be there if we didn't think it was worth our time or money. It doesn't matter if you're a beginner or have previous experience; everyone that goes to this gym is there to get a good workout and have fun. If you need someone to help push you to reach your fitness goals, this is the gym to join.

UFC Gym Fairfax is an extraordinary gym. I say this after having been a member for several years now. Every gym can try to boast about its programs and staff, but no other gym can measure up. The positive energy and enthusiasm that the coaches bring is infectious and it empowers many of us to keep at our goals. There are so many new classes to choose from and personal training is offered. It can get pricey but I have benefited by learning how to lift properly and have discovered that I actually enjoy sparring (attempting anyway) with my coaches.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. I have been a member here for 3 years and had my membership cancelled by the general manager for no good reason. There was a class going on and the manager told us that we would have to move when they needed the space. Understandable. I asked the instructor if we were in the way, and he said we weren't, so we continued. I was then told that if I continued to be in the way he would revoke my membership. I do not pay money to attend a gym and be disrespected and demeaned. As a paying member, I should be able to do my own workout, as long as I'm not impeding on the classes--which the instructor said I wasn't. There was a total of 7 long-term members working out, yet only 2 had their membership revoked. It's a shame that people who are trying to better themselves are discouraged from working out. It's unfortunate that I am no longer able to workout with my friends, but I am also happy to keep my money instead of pay it to someone who will treat their customers like garbage.

After 4-5 years of loyal attendance I and others had our memberships inexplicably revoked without just cause or provocation. I pay a high membership fee and attend DUT and other classes religiously; to the tune of 6 days a week and sometimes twice a day. The other night when 7 core, long term members; myself included did our own workouts, lifted weights etc rather than waste any of our time and effort on a less than stellar Monday night DUT; several of us had our memberships revoked because as Kelly said "it's my gym and I'll run it how I want" as if we are not allowed to do our own workout in a facility that we pay to use. We were not in the way or preventing the DUT class from happening. It took place without us. There was no reason for Kelly to even have words with any of us let alone to curse us and cancel some of us. He thought somehow we had disrespected him and the trainer by doing our own workout. The fact is; if I want to change my workout, lift weights, run on the treadmill or anything else I am free to do so. To curse at long standing or any members for that matter is immature, rude and completely unacceptable. To kick them out of the gym is absurd. Train different is the UFC motto but apparently it's only fancy buzz words. I would not recommend starting or renewing a membership at the Fairfax location.
