My son Sean Hall used to do the US TMA in Leesburg in the 90’s from the age of 5 to 9. He got his black belt then decided to take another path. I remember Master Choi and David Lutes taking very good care of Sean teaching him very well learning protection and survival moves, great exercise and lots of confidence to go along with it. Plus, making sure that his grades were good along with all the other students of course. Thank you very much to both of you and it’s wonderful to know that you guys are still doing this. I would recommend this place to everyone that wants the best.

USTMA is amazing. The instructors create a family atmosphere for all. They help build confidence in their students. They create an atmosphere of respect, tradition, responsibility, and kindness. The patience given to the students while learning their skills is amazing. They’re after school care and schools out camps are fantastic! Having our child attend USTMA was the best decision we could have made!

USTMA is not just a taekwondo school - it is a family. The instructors honestly care about the students and push them to be their best every day. Wonderful place for taekwondo, after school programs, and summer camp!

I been coming to USTMA for the past 4 years. Great school and excellent teacher. Don’t waste your time searching for cheap martial arts schools. You get high quality for your money. Also best 5 times winner of Loudoun.

A good martial arts school.. probably the best in Leesburg. I interviewed 4 different schools in Leesburg and this one was the best value with the most classes for the price. The after school program is also best of the schools I looked at. If you sign up for the black belt program and the after school program kids can take several hours of class a day if they wish.. some of the other schools in Leesburg have little to no class each day. Some have 45 mins some have class only every other day. USTMA is a great school with a strong family atmosphere. They also do after school pickup.

USTMA is the most excellent martial arts school i have ever seen. Grandmaster Choi runs a professional school with friendly staff and relevent training. His sons Master James and Master John also do an excellent job teaching and training you for self improvement. This school promotes mind body and soul overall health. It truly feels as if you are part of a strong family. I have been with USTMA for over 15 years and would reccomend this place to all.

U.S. TKD is very knowledgeable about TKD and will help anyone achieve their health and martial arts goals. The facility is memorizing for any martial art enthusiast. The company includes a huge training area, weight lifting gym, boxing ring, spectating area, basketball courts, cardio machines, wellness center, daycare center, nice locker rooms, ample parking lot and helping staff.

Highly recommended

We've been part of the USTMA family for the past year. My daughter went to a birthday party there and was interested in trying out one free week of classes. She had tried other schools before and it wasn't a good fit. USTMA was different. I loved how they really know how to work with kids. Previous places would have the kids all do the same thing, and she would usually get bored and lose interest and get frustrated. At USTMA, the kids warm up by running off energy, playing soccer or tag before class starts. When class starts, they line up for a short time all together, then they are broken up into smaller groups based on their levels to work on their forms. Finally, they line up again at the end for a short time. It really takes into account how kids learn, by getting their wiggles out first, then breaking up the lesson, etc. The instructors are all amazing- very good at working with kids. They have fun while expecting the kids to try hard and be respectful. Everyone is very positive and supportive while, at the same time, having very high expectations. Children must do well at home, school and at taekwondo in order to progress to the next belt level. Kids learn confidence and respect and the importance of working towards and achieving their goals, while gaining skills, making friends and having fun.

USTMA is the best choice for your family. I say this with passion because I have twin 4.5 yr old boys both with autism, they (WE) all enjoy all aspects of USTMA because not only are my boys learning taekondo skills... they are learning to listen and respect, and follow instruction in a place that we all feel like one big family.

My one son is still considered Non-verbal and he has learned to count to 10 in Korean and many other words he says with pride and a huge smile.

The instructors are ALL amazing, I have never seen such patience with
special needs children. One is testing for his yellow belt tonight- he loves it and is really focused (again, the instructors.) My other son is challenging to teach because it's hard to get his attention when he "stims" (it's an autism thing) but he has learned quite a bit and as parents, we are pleased with his accomplishments. Grand Master Choi has even expressed special interest in teaching him.

They have family fun nights every month, and huge fundraising events like golf outings and kick cancer out of this world events.

If you are reading this, I am assuming you are "looking around," why not stop in? You can even try it out! Give them a call, you have nothing to lose.

USTMA..... NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE!

Our son is enrolled in the Black Belt program, and my wife and I use the Wellness Facilities that are on hand. The staff is amazing, and I watch them guide new and experienced students with patience and care. I highly recommend USTMA.

My experience of being a family member of USTMA is the most rewarding feeling ever. You are greeted with smiling faces, happiness, and kindness! The positiveness you feel walking through the door is unlike any other. The instructors are caring, kind, disciplined, very knowledgeable and are dedicated to your accomplishments/goals as if it were their own. Grandmaster Choi is the most AMAZING person I have ever met. He is so loving and always makes you feel so special and accepted!!! I am honored to be learning from him and his family/instructors! Honestly, BEST mentors EVER! His accomplishments and milestones are remarkable and the dedication he has given is above all the rest! I will always recommend USTMA to family and friends and remember - Nothing is Impossible!

We started my son here when he was just 4 years old to help give him some focus and burn off some of that extra energy. The change was almost immediate. 6 1/2 years later, and he just passed his 2nd dan belt test! All five members of my family go now. USTMA has become one of my "happy places" I think about often. I really like the freedom to come to any class they have that fits my schedule. The instructors are all exceedingly patient and awesome to work with. They truly bring out the best in the students.

USTMA is an amazing facility with kind, hardworking, and helpful instructors who love their school. My experiences with the family that USTMA has brought together have been nothing short of fantastic. The instructors goals are very clearly helping each and every student to be the best they can be. The families that work together in Tae Kwon Do have a lot to gain from eachother, in my case bringing me and my brothers closer together, and if you have kids in Tae Kwon Do you always have the option to work out in the gym while they are in class. USTMA is a family thay loves to grow and is great to be a part of!

My son has attended USTMA for over a year now. He loves going. Our family enjoys the 'family-like' environment. He has gained so much confidence in himself. The school promotes growth and discipline in all areas; taekwondo, school work, and attitude toward others.
I highly encourage anyone thinking of joining to come in an try it out!

I cannot say enough how much I love US Taekwondo Martial Arts Academy. This is an activity I've been able to be involved with alongside my children. I get a great work out and get to spend time with my kids at the same time! My boys are learning how to be strong, respectful members of their community while having so much fun in the process. Every single instructor is kind, patient and just all around amazing. It feels much more like being a part of an extended family than just a school. I am so grateful to have found USTMA! Did I mention I love USTMA?

I recently was invited to attend my granddaughter's black belt belt ceremony. When I got to the dojo, I was pleasantly surprised to be recognized along with a dozen other teachers from different elementary schools in Leesburg. USTMA has taken this occasion to extend its respect and gratitude to school teachers who play a big part in influencing and shaping strong and upright characters in students, which USTMA considers its most significant endeavor. The event was well organized, solemnly held and was topped off with wonderful pot luck picnic. I am very proud of my granddaughter for attaining the black belt and I am so very delighted that she is a member of USTMA!

I have had the great privilege of learning and practicing Tae Kwon Do with my oldest son since 2012 when he was 7 years of age. It has enriched our relationship over the past 4 years in ways that other sports could not. Before joining the USTMA Family, I did my homework on the other TKD schools in Leesburg and I found that USTMA stands far above the rest. Grand Master Choi is a 9th Dan Black Belt who remains true to the traditions and standards of Tae Kwon Do. His sons Master John and Master James carry on their father’s teachings while adding a modern flair that keeps things fun and relevant. They will challenge and encourage you. If you have school aged children, they will love learning with Sean, Miss Al, Brandon, Ethan and Ben. There are also many other gifted instructors and leaders at USTMA.

Don’t take my word for it. Try USTMA for free for 1 week. Then go try the others. You will come back.

My daughter, husband and I have been going here for only a couple months now but we love USTMA. My daughter is only 5 and getting her to focus sometimes is a challenge but the instructors here are very patient and are always able to bring her back on point. The learning environment , whether for a child or adult, is very supportive. All the students, instructors, and masters are so encouraging and never make you feel inadequate. And unlike other tkd schools I've seen, Grand Master Choi is very involved all the time. He and his sons are always at the school leading you to believe they live there. I'm still not convinced they don't.

We love this place. We signed up in the Spring of 2013 and our son has attended summer camp and after school care as well. From Master Choi on down the line - everyone is wonderful, thoughtful, encouraging, and inspiring! They inspire my son push himself to be his best! Our son respects his instructors and works hard to deserve their praise. I finally joined myself to take part of this fantastic sport and discipline. It truly is a family!!

This dojang is practically family. The instructors care about all the members, whether child or adult. They will challenge you and immerse you in Taekwondo. I have been here for 2 years and would never want to be anywhere else with my two girls and husband.

Unequivocally the best! Professional, courteous, kind, respectful, respectable, dedicated, fun and loving - just a few words to describe the Choi family, Masters, Staff and students! US Tae Kwon Do Academy is where you learn to live a healthy lifestyle while you master traditional Tae Kwon Do skills and have fun doing it! My 11 year old daughter takes several classes a day, six days a week; attends after-school and summer camp; participates in all the family gatherings and would be there on Sundays if they were open......BY HER OWN CHOICE! Thank you Grandmaster Choi, Master John and Master James for all you do - we love being a part of your family!

the best tkd place ever! ever! the masters and the instructors are fun, experienced, full of life, respectful people and they teach tkd in a fashion that makes you a better person. their facilities are huge and there is a beautiful gym with the place as well. they are family oriented and teach the importance of the whole family participating together, which is fabulous! it's not just a place where i drop my kids off and go...it's a place where my whole family can practice tkd and be a part of a wonderful extended family... a place where the value of taekwondo and everything that entails is practiced and taught every day! the masters and instructors live by example. there is no place that will teach you true taekwondo like this school. i love ustma and i am honored and consider myself truly blessed to be involved with such an amazing place! never go anywhere but here!

This is a fantastic, spacious facility (with an attached fitness center). USTMA teaches traditional style martial arts and also offers a variety of other classes for students and family members of all ages (even 60+). There are classes offered different times 6 days a week. Besides TaeKwonDo, there is advanced training and demo team (C-CREW) and "Rise-Up" which is group training with drills, weights and cardio for fitness and general sports skills. There is after school care, but it is not a "day care school" that only focuses on that. They have great events such as the Halloween party with the "Haunted Hallway" and the Christmas party "Winter Wonderland. " This is not the kind of school where kids run around wild and undisciplined. You can't "buy-a-belt" here: you have to really pass the skills required for each test. If you're looking for a school that will coddle your children, let them run amok and tell them they are excellent when they aren't even trying, this is probably not the school for you. But if you want a school that offers something to the whole family, inspires students to try hard and do their best, emphasized respect and discipline, expects a lot and provides the teaching necessary, then you will like USTMA. I have been a student for several years, having come from another area school. I love the owners (Grand Master Choi and his sons Master James and Master John). You will, too!

Beware. Once you sign the contract, there is NO WAY to back out of the full 3 year program - thousands of dollars overall. Master says it's all up to the billing company, the billing company says it's up to the Master, you get the run around.
Master insists on meeting with your kids if they don't want to come anymore. I'm not doing that to my kids - it is my decision whether or not to let them quit. My kids loved martial arts - but not at this place. So I won't force them just because I made a huge mistake.

Go somewhere else!
