Looking for a great personal trainer, Zach is you guy. He is passionate about fitness and health. He is attentive to your fitness goals and helps you reach your maximum potential. I feel fortunate that Zach was highly recommended to me. I had just retired from work and was apprehensive of starting strength training for my first time. Zach has been very respectful of my lack of strength (it’s been a long time since I step forth in a gym) and never did I feel judged for my inabilities. It’s been 7 months now and I look forward to my training sessions. I am amazed how quick the sessions go by. I would give him a 10++ on a scale from 1-10.

I’ve had an amazing experience with Zack as my personal trainer. He really gets to know you on a personal level and adjusts your workouts based on what’s going on in your life. For instance, if I had something physically demanding coming up, like a big move or an intense job, he’d modify my workouts so I’d be prepared but not overexerted. Last summer, Zack helped me get ready for a tough job that involved hiking long distances with a heavy pack in the Sierra's. Thanks to his training, I managed an 18-mile day with a full backpack and significant elevation change. I found Zack in November 2023 when I had reached my heaviest weight and struggling to stay consistent with food, alcohol was an issue, and getting to the gym was tough. I’m in my late 40s with ups and downs with life with kids, hormones, vacations, injuries, owning businesses, and everything in between. He keeps me focused and accountable.
After a year and half, I have lost lots of body fat, progressed with weight training, and reprogrammed my brain to focus on longevity instead of going hard core with weights. I do cardio, strength training, and mobility work weekly.
Zack writes my programs that are 100% tailored to me, keeping in mind various aches and pains I deal with, traveling, and my likes/dislikes. He pushes me to do the things that I need more work on and tells me when I over do stuff. He also questions my eating and takes that into consideration.
I’d say I’m a much better version of myself, my confidence is back on track, and I’m in the best shape of my life.
Zack is a professional in what he does and takes his business seriously. I’m truly thankful that I hired him to get me to where I am!

So far I am about a month in and it has been outstanding. Zack has been an excellent teacher, demonstrating great patience and communication on how to master your exercises. Not only are you working with a coach, but he also provides materials and help with nutrition, workout videos, and accountability. Zack has been my personal trainer for almost 3 years now. He’s the first trainer I’ve ever used. It has been a great experience for me. I still have fun at every session. I’m both surprised and very pleased with my results.
I never feel that Zack is pushing me beyond what I am currently able to do. He builds me up so that I consistently improve both in strength and endurance. He gives me the confidence I need so that I’m the one pushing myself for that extra rep and to add that additional weight.He always has both long range and short range training plans for me to address whole body improvement. He keeps me honest about nutrition and weight without being a nag, which I really appreciate. His whole body approach to fitness embeds stretching and flexibly as integral parts of every workout. I really appreciate that approach since at 66 years of age, it is so important to keeping me healthy and injury free.
Zack is always incredibly flexible with gym session dates and times. Additionally, on one occasion I unexpectedly had to travel for a couple of weeks. Zack went out of his way to provide me with customized workouts after I showed him what equipment was available to me. I ended up not missing out on workouts and was able to maintain my workout plan and goals.

Like a lot of people, I thought I could get the results I desired without a personal trainer (spoiler: I couldn’t). However, I can say with absolute confidence that Zack isn’t just a personal trainer in the traditional sense of the word. Over the last few months, he has positively impacted my physical health, changed my mindset about nutrition, progress, and healthy habits. He strikes the perfect balance between being a motivator to push myself to achieve more and a source of encouragement to keep going when I’m feeling less than stellar.
My main fitness goal when starting with Zack was to be stronger for my kids. With his fitness programs, I have been able to crush my main goal as well as other goals I’ve set for myself since then. Started my fitness journey when I got back from my deployment in 2021 and I wanted to to have someone who could help me achieve my fitness goals for this school that I got selected to be apart of. Zack did just that! He created a meal and fitness plan to help me get started and get closer to my goals. I worked out with him three days a week and he always made sure to let me know on the days that I could come earlier than our scheduled time. That was very convenient because they were times where I was let out early from work or I had around that time! I was worried about getting a male trainer but he kept it very professional and had a great sense of humor! I would most definitely recommend him to be anyone’s trainer!! Zack is, by far, the best personal trainer and health advocate I've ever worked with. He is knowledgable and enthusiastic about his craft while simultaneously being a caring and down-to-earth person. Whether we were working out at 6am or 6pm, I always knew that Zack would be at the gym on time and ready to work. I also always knew that Zack would genuinely want to hear about my day and meaningfully discuss various life updates and shared passions (such as animals and sports!). If you are looking to reach any kind of fitness goals, Zack is your man. My fiancé & I have been working with him for the last 9 months and the results are truly insane. We lost a lot of weight, but we gained strength, higher energy levels, and the knowledge of how to live a healthy lifestyle.
Zack is everything you would want in a personal trainer. He’s patient, knowledgeable, detailed, trustworthy, and generally just a fun guy to be around. Zack is a very professional personal trainer and since has became a good friend. Definitely life-changing experience for me. My life has been forever changed by Zack and VBA Fitness! I started this journey thinking I would work with him for a few months and then go back to my previous routines, but with less body fat. After months and months of researching trying to find the best fit for my personal training needs, I finally found Zack! Zack has been my personal trainer for almost a month now and I am getting closer to my goals, which are; leaner, stronger and to have better diet!
Zack is a quality personal trainer - he will listen to your goals and will work around it, he pays very close attention to your progress, he is very attentive to your form and most importantly your body. In addition to working my tail off, he provides nutritional coaching (he is a certified nutrition coach) to ensure that the work I put in the gym doesn't go to waste because of bad eating habits. Oh, mind you, i still get to eat ice cream, but he's recommended alternatives to stay within my recommended caloric intake. It's impressive!
With regards to the workouts, he really knows what he's doing. My workouts are always explosive and I've not seen a day where I'm not sore somewhere. My training sessions (twice weekly) are efficient and extremely well planned. Sometimes I have compound workouts and some session I would have isolation exercises and it definitely works for me! I dig the variety.
If you are reading this, because you're undecided, I think you should give it a shot. This guy is passionate, really nice and really good at what he does. I should add that the price isn't an issue for me - he's affordable and that's why I also selected him.
Stop wasting your time dilly dallying at the gym, and see a personal trainer. You won't regret it! If you decide to see him, you'll see yourself doing this rope workout :)
I'll post again when I'm nearing my results, but that shouldn't be very soon. If you're ready to commit and ready for a change ... HE IS THE MAN!

I've never worked out in a gym; I'm more of a group class person. Back in September, I transitioned from Pilates to weight training and have really enjoyed working with Zack. In this short time, I feel much stronger than I ever have and can see results, both of which motivate me to continue my workouts. I can honestly say not once have I tried talking myself out of going on days I'm tired or don't feel well like I've done with previous classes. He asked me to take pictures of my workout space and equipment so he could see how to best train me with what I have. I've been training with Zack for the past month, and I'm so pleased with my progress! I have bad knees, and other trainers in the past have not been able to work my legs without killing my knees. Zack makes every workout intense enough to really feel the burn, without pushing my knees too far. He knows how to push me with each exercise, keep me using correct form, and keep me motivated, all without being intimidating. Zack is a great trainer! I had just had a baby and wanted to lose the baby weight and he pushed me more then I ever imagined. Not only in the gym but also nutritional habits throughout the weeks. It was great being able to not only see my body start to slim down but to also see muscles I had never seen before.
He is also very intelligent when it comes to having to customize your workout. For instance, I have back problems and he was able to adjust the workouts as needed and also incorporate my physical therapy stretches and workouts into our routine. I loved that he would give me "at home" workouts for the days that we didn't meet or for the weekends to better improve myself.
I was the person who tried going to the gym on my own but it wasn't ever enough or I just got lazy, so going to him was the best decision I ever made. Now, I'm addicted and couldn't thank him enough! I definitely recommend him as a trainer! I would say the only down fall is... he's a lakers fan. Go Jazz!

Zack has been my personal trainer for the past few months, he's also been helping me with my nutrition. I've been training 2-3 times a week with him, his workouts are always different which keeps it fun and challenging at the same time.
