Needed a gym for a week while in Harrisonburg/McGaheysville area for Thanksgiving. Verta Fitness had great membership options to choose from to meet
my needs. The gym is set up with everything you need from free weights, machines and cardio equipment and the 24 hr access makes it easy to get a workout in on your own schedule. I will definitely be coming back when in the area again…might even pick up some of the Verta Fitness merchandise next time!

Have been a member at Verta since December 2023, and I love this place so far!! I switched gyms mainly because my old gym did not have the whole building accessible 24/7, only a small section. I also didn’t like that they were closed majority of the weekend. They did not have enough squat & deadlift platforms, or multiples of the same weight, so would always be waiting on others. This gym is the best in this area!! All machines are very new and clean, love their hours and full gym access at any time. They also have machines no other gym in this area has; belted hip thrust and pendulum squat (coming soon), and a good quality hack squat as well. I love the private posing room for those that enjoy tracking their progress. The owners are so welcoming and always saying hi, giving a quick fist bump, or chatting with members. Definitely recommend, especially as a woman, I have had a great experience there!

Verta is not only clean and tidy, but the owners and members are so nice and helpful. Verta has a variety of equipment. Members are also respectful of your workout, and ensure you’re done with equipment before using. As a female who goes to the gym alone a lot, I always feel safe being at the gym even when I’m the only female in a gym full of men. Absolutely the most elite gym in the Harrisonburg/Rockingham area.

To start, this gym has a great atmosphere that allows you to really get into the mindset for a great workout. Being an icu nurse, the hours of operation are super important to me, so 24/7 availability is a huge perk. Also being a female lifter, comfort is a huge concern. I've always felt very comfortable in this gym and I'm able to workout without being concerned about my confidence, appearance, or physical ability. They have plenty of free weights, machines, and cardio equiptment. Definitely worth checking this gym out and becoming a member. P.s huge fan of the social media room and all the helpful/inspiring posts on the instagram account. I always look forward to coming here!

On first visit I was stuck outside the door fiddling through the apps to be able to even step inside as a guest. So be prepared for that. The locker rooms have the bare essentials, nothing fancy, and the gym itself has plenty of equipment and wasn't overly populated. I typically work out at JMU and comparing both, I would rather make the drive to nicer gym. My most major gripe is the assisted pull up machine is clearly broken, it gets stuck and there are plastic pieces under it. The gym floor is straight black, and needs constant cleaning to not look dirty, yet you can still see dust accumulation in all the corners. Also this place is newly opened but still has an old vibe, the walls are not painted well and the racks and machines are clearly used. The freeweight rack is damaging the rubber coated weights and there is a huge amount of rubber chipping on the weights because of the metal rubbing them on the rack and one of the bench press benches is broken and scared me when I sat down on the tip of it and it just gave. No pool, no sauna so it is your gym essentials, which is fine. Id use this gym in a pinch, but wouldn't settle into a membership here.

I was in town to see a JMU game with my family and decided to check out Verta Fitness. The check in process was easy\quick and I love the fact that it was so seamless and completely done on my phone. There aren't many options as far as gyms go in the area. The one with all the right equipment is constantly overcrowded and not 24/7. The ones that are 24/7 are either overcrowded or not equipped for a good workout if you've been bodybuilding/strength training for a few years.

Enter Verta Fitness. Finally, an affordable 24/7 gym with enough space and equipment to get the job done without compromise, waiting lines, or feeling claustrophobic!

The only downside is that it doesn't have showers, making it impossible to workout on the way to work for heavy sweaters like me. But for what it provides, still totally worth it. I wish it was around a decade ago when I moved to the area.

One of the best facilities I’ve ever visited hands down. I was in the area for Memorial Day weekend and always worry about where to work out when traveling to areas outside of major cities. I found this spot online, saw that it was opened 24/7 and they offered passes for 3 days at a $30 cost. The purchase of a pass can be done online and door access is issued straight to your phone. No weird interactions involved, no waiting until a staffer is available to issue a pass. It was hassle free. When I arrived at the facility, I was amazed. I went early in the morning. It wasn’t busy at all. The gym is fully loaded with equipment, specialty bars, kettlebells, dumbbells up to 150 lbs, sleds, and plenty of racks and platforms. I looked forward to coming each day of my stay. It was peaceful, clean, and people cleaned up after themselves. Very impressive and well worth the money.
