I didn’t realize how much I appreciated this gym until I moved west. Iron Vintage has everything you could ask for, and then some. The people are welcoming, the atmosphere is always on point, and the facility is kept spotless. Since moving, I’ve checked out plenty of gyms in my new state, but none of them come close to the standards Iron Vintage set.

A good gym overall for powerlifting and bodybuilding. Has many equipment no other gyms have, benches, squat racks, all types of machines. The only powerlifting gym in the area. Has a good new sauna and has a posing room. Well maintained and clean. However, I have some honest criticism, which I hope the owner will listen to.

The music tends to be suffocatingly loud. They have a speaker on the floor in the second room, which is vulnerable to some members turning it louder & higher bass than normal. You can hear it through your headphones unless you bring over the ear ones. It can be very distracting & frustrating to feel bass in your head, drowning out your own thoughts, while trying to lift.

Also, some financial concerns. Going to this gym feels like you might be threatened with a charge if you do the slightest thing wrong. Signs saying you will be charged $15 for not wiping down equipment. A sign next to the deadlifting area saying not to slam the weight or you will be charged (understandable, but not everyone is deadlifting 225 lbs, usually I cant softly lower the weight when I’m lifting near my max).

Also, I am very concerned about the new membership increase starting at $75/month in October. I am not the only member concerned as well, since it was announced I have overheard many others members in the gym share their own concerns. Also, the local hero membership is going to be $65/month now, that’s still pretty steep for someone serving the public. Winchester is a working class city, the average lifter cannot afford a $75/month membership. I mostly like this gym, but worry about its future.

It’s impossible to get a better workout in anywhere else. I’ve tried every gym. but nothing beats lifting at vintage. I don’t even live near vintage, but i’d rather drive the extra distance to this gym and get a quality energetic lift in. versus going to the gyms near my house where i get a basic lift. Every workout at this place is a solid workout. Best gym in VA. You get what you pay for here. I recommend this gym to everyone i know!

Vintage Iron is the best gym I've ever gone to. The owner, Will, is genuinely invested in making his gym the absolute best gym it can be.

A lot of gym owners (franchisees, in particular) treat their gyms as passive income sources, doing the bare minimum for upkeep, much less improvements. Will has quite literally expanded the gym, has continually purchased new, high-quality equipment, and has created a great environment for the (mostly) wonderful people who go there.

If you’re wondering where the value lies compared to cheaper alternatives, it comes down to better people, better equipment, and a better workout environment. I could not recommend Vintage Iron Gym more highly.

After travelling from Sydney, Australia to coach for a powerlifting meet being hosted in Winchester - I was so happy to find Vintage Iron.

The owner & reception staff were really nice, welcoming & accomodating to myself & my lifter who'd travelled over for the meet. I only trained there about 3-4 times in my week over there but the community of people in the gym were super warm & welcoming.

But even without the people, this gym kicked ass. From the brand new equipment to the restored old school equipment in the gym, everything just worked & felt so good. Whether you're training more for strength, fitness or bodybuilding, this gym will leave you spoilt for choice!!

Honestly, I was sad to leave but if I've ever on the east coast again, I'll be making a trip back to Vintage Iron

I travel all over the country and live for a few months in where I go for work and have been to gyms in 10 different states because of that. This has been my favorite gym I have ever worked out at. Great equipment, easy access, and the whole place has an awesome vibe to it. Utah is home for me and I went out of my way to review this place 6 months after I stopped working out there. Wish I had somewhere like this down here, I'll have to settle with my lame chain gym.

Vintage Iron is the best gym I have ever been to and the owner is so friendly, I don't speak English and he still found a way to communicate with me and help me. I love this gym because it is open 24 hours with access control which makes me feel more secure. It has good lighting in the parking lot and a great variety of machines. The staff is so friendly, when I tell them I don't speak English they always go out of their way to help me. I will definitely be staying here. They are the best. Vintage Iron ❤️

This gym is loaded with an incredible variety of rare old school hypertrophy equipment and new school quality equipment. There is a very nice selection for powerlifters, bodybuilders, or anyone looking to train hard on the best equipment available. The gym was very clean and well organized with a spacious, unique layout. The staff and the owner were very friendly and welcoming, definitely check this spot out if you are in the area.

I’ve been traveling the country for 6+ years I’ve been to corporate gyms PF, Golds, Snap, Anytime you name it I’ve also been to countless mom and pop gyms I’ve worked out in no less than 5 gyms in every state in the country and I can confidently give you a top 10 gym for every type of workout style wether it be calisthenics, weight training, powerlifting, cardio etc. and when I tell you that vintage iron blows every gym I’ve been to out of the water the owner Will knows what he’s doing he has the gym broken into different sections depending on what kind of workout your looking for and they are always getting new equipment and upgrading I can’t recommend this place enough this is one of those gyms that you wish you could put in your pocket and take with you everywhere you go every single time you go there is always and employee waiting at the counter to say what’s up there’s always somebody cleaning I cannot stress enough how clean these guys keep this gym it’s immaculate from the equipment to the locker rooms everything is spotless I would say if your in the area it’s definitely worth the stop but with this place i would drive hours to come back and get a workout in they have clothing and supplements available right as you walk in the door so you really have nothing to worry about with this place it’s really to bad 5 stars is as high as the rating goes because I would give Vintage Iron 10!!!

I checked this place about a year-and-a-half and while it was nice, there wasn't a ton of equipment or space. Well I checked it out again today and immediately signed. Three times bigger, all sorts of new and old school equipment. Dumbbells up to 150 I think. If you are serious about training, this is honestly the best spot I've found in the area.

I wish there was an agreement with the indoor pool facility nextdoor though.

My husband and I purchased 2 day passes while visiting family in the area. Coming to the gym ended up being one of our favorite parts of our trip! Friendly staff and amazing space. Update: Wanted to update this review now that the gym has been open for over a year. Will Martin has really created a special environment for people to achieve their fitness goals. He's doing WAY MORE for his members with FAR LESS resources than all the corporate gyms in the area. It seems like new equipment(some brand new, and some rare and quality used) arrives almost weekly. The gym has already opened one expansion with a 2nd on the way. I can't imagine working out anywhere else, it just wouldn't be the same.
