I have only been a member a short time. But I have worked out at many gyms over 20+ years of working out. This gym has more equipment than anywhere I have ever seen. It's amazing. It's hard at first to find your favorite machine. There is just so much! Very nice!

20 year active duty member here.

I have moved and called over 10 different places all over the world home. I can without a doubt say VB Iron is probably the best gym I’ve gotten a membership in.

This gym has the best equipment and a lot of it (who the hell has 5 forearm machines!?).

It seems like over 70% of the gyms members are in really good shape, which is great as seeing people push themselves is very motivating.

Let me start by saying this, this gym is a gem and people are sleeping on it truly. As a dedicated bodybuilder competitor with a passion for powerlifting. This gym has everything you need from old school pieces of equipment to new school. I got lost in there walking around literally that many machines!

Lighting had that dark down lighting that makes you feel like an absolute unit or the type that makes you put the hoodie up and the music on max ready to hit your next PR.

I’ve been to gym all around the states and this one holds up and crushes most of those.
Never had to wait for machines, everyone I saw in there was there putting in the work.

I have been to gyms all over the world. This is in my top 5. Kenny does a great job with equipment selection. The members are there to train. The environment is perfect. It is top tier when it comes to bodybuilding gyms on the East Coast. It hands down rivals Bev's gym in New York you can find equipment here that even the best gyms in the world don't have. If you train anywhere else in Virginia I just feel bad for you cuz you clearly don't get it!

This gym was really cool and has a huge variety of great equipment. I was in town visiting family so I had to buy a day pass. My only complaint is that it was difficult to scan into the gym with the day pass, and there wasn’t someone working the front desk or the phone during typical hours. I was having problems scanning in and no one was there to help me, so I had to just keep trying over and over again for like 20 minutes until I finally got in.

I’d give a zero if I could. I was lied to last month being told I wouldn’t be charged anymore after February. I was also told there was no contract and that I could cancel anytime by the employee that signed me up. I had to call 3 times before I threatened legal action over text. When I was called back by Tony, he told me that I was “disrespectful” and that he was going to charge me for another 9 months out of spite. Now I’m forced to to order a new debit card and start a new bank account. Save your $60 bucks a month. The gym is dirty and almost all the equipment is 20+ years old and is more dead than my grandmother. I went to the gym 3x and hated it. I moved and cancelled and it’s been nothing but a headache. Go LITERALLY ANYWHERE ELSE than this gym
If you desire a good fitness experience. There are gym memberships for a 1/3 of the price with more to offer.

Was in town for work looking for a bodybuilder type gym and boy did we find one! This place has everything, seriously one of the largest ones I've been to (Similar to Madhouse Atlanta and Destination Dallas) tons of older and newer types of equipment (love some of the older brands that you don't see anymore) a ton of new stuff I've never used as well. Day pass is a great price, love the dark aesthetics, will be returning in the future!

As a natural pro bodybuilder, I truly love this place and genuinely look forward to going to this gym!

Size - this place is huge. Used to be a movie theater. So it looks like a warehouse inside. There is truly room to spread out in there.

Equipment - so...many...machines...plus more than one variety of plates and barbells. Most machines have around 4 options, and slightly different variations.

Never wait on equipment - this is not a box gym at all. Though you pay more via monthly rates than the box gyms, what you're truly paying for is never having to deal with the crowds or other members hogging equipment.

Regularly cleaned - I see staff cleaning in there all the time. You see the guy walking around with a giant backpack vacuum. And also you see the guys using a fork lift to literally mop underneath the machines as well. This is a HUGE deal to me.

Private - it's dark in there, but in a good way. Between the low lighting, the huge space, and the nicely spread out equipment, it often feels like you are lifting in peaceful privacy.

I'm usually nervous to leave reviews of my gym when I absolutely love it...just out of worry that it will get too crowded. But I trust this leadership to preserve the exclusive atmosphere. Thank you Kenny and Joe for making this place awesome!

One of the best gyms in the area hands down! Probably one of the fastest water fountains I’ve ever used! The bathrooms are always squeaky clean and full stocked. I signed up for a year long membership because it was a great value. 10/10 recommend if your looking for a great gym with an even better community and atmosphere

Smallest bathroom/locker room area I’ve ever witnessed in a gym setting.

Water bottle fountain took 10 minutes to fill my bottle up.

$35 for a day pass is absurd for a facility lacking so many basics like saunas/red rooms/ect.

Ties for the best gym in Hampton roads. 30k square feet of space, filled to the brim with equipment. Being a mega gym like this does attract some “influencers” who can at times be rude and lack common gym etiquette. That’s a rare occurrence but the place is big enough you can just go to to another area and be left alone.

Simply put VB Iron is a God Tier gym. For those that are unaware…the Holy Trinity of gyms on the east coast are DMV Iron, VB Iron, and Exile fitness. VB Iron has hands down THE BEST lifting atmosphere of the three. (Which is damn impressive). Regardless of how you feel, walking through the doors feels like getting hit with a max dose of Tren…literally making it impossible not to get the best workout of your entire life. On top of that, (because of the way the gym is run), it feels like an elite private club reserved only for the most serious of lifters. You never have to wait for machines and will always feel driven to work harder than last time. It should be obvious at this point, but I should mention they also have one of the greatest selections of modern and old school equipment of any gym anywhere period. State of the art and 90’s era all in one.

If you haven’t trained at VB Iron then you have no idea what a God Tier gym is like. If you live close you can’t call yourself a serious lifter without getting a membership. If you live far away it is definitely a destination gym worth traveling to visit.

First off HUGE gym, within all of my ten years of training there was equipment in there that I’ve never seen before. Some of the equipment I’ve only seen in out of state gyms I’ve visited prior to. The staff is GREAT!!! They don’t mind working with you & can all be easily communicated with. Fell in love so much, once my lease is up I’ll be moving closer just to be nearby the gym. (i stay 50mins-hour away) lol. Highly recommend this gym!

Tons and tons of equipment here, its the variety of equipment and the size of this gym for me...staff is super friendly, the bathrooms and showers are nice and clean. I also love that I can do inbody scans whenever I need to.

(I’ve only been here for a week on vacation) the other lady that is behind the desk is very nice. She always makes the best pre workout shots. I absolutely love this place! 10/10 — I highly recommend it. As someone who travels for work often and sticks to a fitness routine, they make it so easy to purchase a day or week pass! I am a local physician and am blown away by this gym and the owners. The gym is amazing and has equipment that you rarely find these days. But that’s not the best part.

The owners are completely hands on. Their knowledge base and understanding of human physiology is more than most physicians. If you haven’t met Kenny and Jen, you are in for a treat. These two not only walk the walk, but they can help you find a better you and uncover your true fitness potential.
