Don't be fooled. This place is a daycare with gymnastic equipment in it. They bring the local elementary/middle over after school, let the kids run amuck until their parents arrive to pick them up. It is an absolute zoo. Save your money and go elsewhere

My daughters favorite day of the week is when she gets to come to the gym and work on her gymnastics skills. The coach’s are amazing and have great attitudes! I recommend them to anyone who would like to put their child in classes

VEGA has been a wonderful experience for both of my kids; my daughter is in kidnastics and my son is in ninja. Watching them both develop and grow over the last couple of months has been truly enjoyable! The teachers and staff are friendly and very patient! The classes are ran like machines and they pack in so many exercises into each time slot. They have a lot of classes and varying time slots which is great to fit around most schedules! We have also participated in the pre-school parties at the WISC location and it is equally as wonderful!

Our daughter takes classes, has had her birthday party at the gym, and we use VEGA for mom's early mornings (the school bus takes her to NKES). All the coaches are awesome and the activities are always age appropriate and fun.

This place is fantastic, my daughter has thrived since switching over to VEGA. Great, quality coaches that teach about sportsmanship, friendship and not just about the win!! My favorite part is seeing the other girls cheering each other on when they get a new skill! As an added bonus there is AC at this gym, our last place didn't have AC so this is definitely a perk for us!!!!

We signed up my 2.5 year old for classes at the start of the new year! She loves it- the teachers are amazing with her age group! They gym is beautiful and very clean! We are definitely happy to be at VEGA!

My daughter has been with VEGA for a little over a year now on their competitive gymnastics team. The coaches and staff are amazing! They have really made us feel like family. The instill core values and skills in their athletes while making sure they are practicing health and safety! My daughter looks at the gym as her second home and wishes she could be there everyday!

If I could give this school zero stars, I would. If your athlete is a truly competitive gymnast, I would not recommend VEGA. Are there a couple of good coaches there? Yes. But high quality coaching is not the norm. Overall our experience was as follows:

1. Serious issues with Coaching Quality;

2. Serious issues with technical training;

3. Serious issues with conditioning;

4. Serious issues with coaching engagement with the athletes (both at practice and even during the meets);

5. It seems like the owner and team management are having great difficulty integrating and managing 2 different facilities/locations.

For the amount of time that your athlete will invest in practice and meets and the team fees that you will pay, you will not get the value/benefit that you should, nor will your athlete. There are much, much better options in Hampton Roads area with coaching and talent and culture that is light-years ahead of VEGA.

The tots and kidnastics in the evening are not worth it. They have teachers whom are not qualified for little kids. They expect them to do what they say without any enthusiasm or encouragement. Also they let the kids run around as if it was free for all, save your money. I've actually reached out to them about the concerns and I have had no response it's been over a month. That's poor for business.

Love the staff and the environment. I have been around a lot of sports and the coaches here are the best. They don't just give instructions, they work with your child and make sure they know every move step by step before moving on. Everything including conditioning and exercising, has something to do with building the next set of skills. Also with Covid, they make sure safety is first and everything else falls in line. Definitely 👍🏽👍🏽.

My family has been at New Kent Gymnastics, now Virginia Elite Gymnastics Academy for 9 years. Both my daughters started in the rec program and absolutely loved it! One daughter discovered another passion while my youngest fell in love with gymnastics. She is in her 4th year on the team and is so happy at VEGA and loves her coaches! As a parent I have seen the growth and development of so many children through the programs offered here. You can tell the coaches enjoy what they are doing through the energy they put into their classes. I’m excited for all to come as they implement new programs and open their brand new facility!

Our daughter has been there since she was 3 and is almost 6! We love NKGC so much. They cater to what ever class we are looking for and offer a bunch of different times! There team coaches are top notch! Our if you just want some fun little classes they have it!!!!!

I have mixed feelings about New Kent Gymnastics. My daughter attends the Friday evenings totnastics classes. I feel they need more structure and stronger coaches. The coaches change lot and are not the same every week and most of the time you have high school kids teaching the class and the kids don't pay attention. I feel if I'm paying money for my child to learn than she should be learning.
The adult coaches are amazing (18 and up) and have better control of the class and the kids actually learn and pay attention.
