I joined YouFit a few months ago and I come every day to the location off of Midlothian on my days off. I’ve lost 20lbs in the past 2 months by staying consistent. I love this gym! I just started taking the HIIT classes and I have the Premium membership which is $39.99/month. The staff are very friendly and helpful!

Most machines, especially the treadmills are not working. They are broke. These treadmills have been down for over a month. Same with some weight machines. The floors are dirty. They used to vacuum the floors but they have stopped doing it. The bathrooms are smelly (urine). Also there are some machines that no one uses. This gym needs a serious update.

Well, although I have not had a bad experience as far as attending the gym, I do have a complaint. When Covid hit, YouFit had closed for a few months and they stopped billing me. However, the gym reopened at some point, not knowing to me. They began to attempt to take payment from my account without me knowing they had reopened. The problem was that I got a new card so they were unable to bill me so know I am in collection for not paying. I was trying to resolve it with no success.

I put my account on freeze due to the pandemic. I was told at that time that my account will go on freeze until the establishment has been fully operated. September 2020 I received a text from YOU FIT stating that my account was negative and I needed to contact them as soon as possible to bring my account current. When I log into my account online I noticed that from the beginning of July they had begin to charge the card on file every two days so they were charging my card even when You Fit was not even fully operated. You FIT did not become fully operated until August 2020, according to the young lady at the gym. Before I could call them they had sent the money through on the card again for a total of $88.88 that included a annual fee ,a monthly fee and even guess what a late charge. I decided to go in to cancel my membership today and I was charged another $10 to cancel my membership when I proceeded to leave the young lady in the establishment asked me did I have any questions comments or concerns.Ha what a joke she could see I was already upset .

I have contacted the General manager with this establishment to request a full refund for the money that they took back . Not once did they communicate with me prior to September 2020 . I didn't get any email ,I didn't get a text I ,didn't get a phone call I didn't get any of that information from them to say we will start route reoccurring payments in August I didn't get any type of communication until my account was negative. This is poor communication when you freeze a gym membership due to a pandemic.

My son use to work here. I love this gym. It's clean and everyone is chill. It's more personable and smaller less fussy and over crowded like Gold's Gym. And people are more focused on their own workout than sneaking looks at yours. Lol. And my son also liked working here better than Gold's also.

Incident Occurred 6/9/2019 ~ 11am to 1pm

When I had one bad customer service experience with a Youfit employee (Employees Name Lilly) I shrugged it off and thought nothing of it. But what happened to me today, which was my second experience with her, I had to let it be known.
I usually bring a gallon of water with me to the gym and Youfit has a “No Jugs on Gym floor policy, Jugs are a tripping hazard”, PLEASE SEE PHOTOS ATTACHED OF THE TRIPPING HAZARDS I WITNESSED DURING MY TWO HOUR WORKOUT. There was no staff re-racking weights or cleaning up weight area, this is more of a safety concern then a jug of water. Every other employee (Except Lilly) that works at this Youfit location has allowed me to leave my jug of water at the front desk while I work out. Not only did Lilly tell me that I could not leave my jug at the front desk, but she was also extremely rude and stern when telling me about the policy. Even though she was rude all of what she said was completely okay, I had absolutely no problem with her enforcing their company’s policy.

HERE IS WHERE THE STORY TAKES A TURN FOR THE WORST.

Lilly was escorting another gym member through the gym. This member also had a jug of water. When this member started to workout, Lilly took his jug of water and she kept it at the front desk. When I brought this to Lilly attention, her response: “He is a new member, therefore I can keep it at the front desk”.

ALL MEMBERS SHOULD BE TREATED EXACTLY THE SAME, THERE ARE ABSOLUTELY NO EXCEPTIONS!

Just to add a little bit more to the story. There is an issue with Youfits water fountain. THE WATER TASTE AND SMELLS LIKE A WET DOG AND THIS COULD BE CAUSED BY BACTERIA GROWTH. I also brought this to Caitlyn’s attention and she stated there is a work order for that and that I can buy Youfits water if I don’t want to drink out of the fountain. They know they have a problem with the fountain and there is no signage telling gym members that there might be something wrong with the water.

This “No Jugs on Gym floor, Jugs are a tripping hazard” policy is probably the dumbest thing I’ve experienced since I started working out over 30 years, it’s an inconvenience. Some people drink ½ gallon to a gallon of water during a workout. Due to this policy and of course the bad customer service, I will be canceling my gym membership as soon as my pre-payment term is finished.

Just an FYI to any who are considering joining Youfit. Crunch Fitness at Chesterfield Towne Center allows Gallon Jugs.

Customer service needs to be improved! Its unacceptable to allow me to train there with my friend and front desk knows me, My information is on file and tonight I come to train again and because I left my ID at home, the guy at the front desk (that sees me everytime) said i cannot stay and need to leave because I do not have ID.
He did not greet me, all he did was approach me on the floor, after I was let in by the girl at the front desk, and asked for ID
I can understand if I was new and this was my first time, but this is not the case.

I especially love the fact that when I visit my family in Florida, I don't have to wait till I come home to go to the gym. I can go to a Youfit in Florida. Most of the staff is excellent (the young Latino is especially helpful and attentive). Some could use some small attitude adjustment. Bathroom can be a bit sketchy at times, so I'd suggest more attention to them. Very happy with the abundance of cleaning supplies, as few to none bother with the required gym towel rule. Really good equipment, the value is tremendous. But I'd pay more to have a sauna.

I cancelled my personal fitness training and they still charged me twice, downgraded membership from $20 to $10 and they still charged me the $20! Tried to get my money back for months and all I got was the run around. Finally was told I will get it back and never did. A complete disappointment. Definitely learned my lesson. Watch out, because they will rob you blind.

I've been a member at a number of gyms in the past, Youfit is by far my favorite for many reasons. The membership has the most perks for the price considering you can go to any gym in the country and are given unlimited guest passes. The staff is fantastic, particularly at the Chippenham location (Arriana and Paul <3 ). Well worth your time for sure.

This is a great gym! For $10 for all the equipment needed to do any workout, no one should complain! It is very clean, and I have always found the staff to be great. I see Josh cleaning in early mornings and have enjoyed chatting with him occasionally.

I had 2 unfortunate experiences, my first 2 visits. Twisted my ankle slightly on steps leading from Womens restroom, heading for main floor on my first visit. Told myself NOT to use the shallow two steps again because they are poorly marked-- No reflection tape or WATCH YOUR STEP notice. Reported this problem to the staff at the front desk as a SAFETY HAZARD. The second week as I hurried to a class, I forgot how dangerous the steps were, caught my heel on the bottom of the two steps and fell against the cement under the handrail, even though I was holding onto the handrail. EMS was called and I ended up at the hospital with injured left ankle and a very painful deep muscle bruise. After 3 days NO ONE from the facility has called to check on my condition. Nor has anyone called to say they have corrected the problem with the lighting or signage for the stairs.

It's clean and it has great equipment but that is where it ends. They say they offer group exercise classes but there are very few classes. The schedule changes without notice, i.e. I showed up for Yoga class and they changed it to insanity. Classes start late and end late, Why have a schedule if your not going to stick to it? I am very busy and I rely on an accurate schedule to get my work out in. The price is good but it's just bait to sell you their very expensive personal training. As far as the staff goes the people at the counter are friendly but as far as the trainers and managers go, I'm not impressed. I guess you get what you pay for.
