i had such a great experience at 30 minute hit in capitol hill! brian is super welcoming and encouraging, as are all the trainers. the workout is amazing, and it's so nice to be able to start at any time of day. it's fun that even though the workout is individual, there's still a community of women there. i definitely recommend it for an upbeat and energizing gym!

30 minute hit is the best workout i’ve ever done!! all of the stations are really fun and intense. the trainers are fantastic, super encouraging and positive, making sure you’re pushing yourself as much as possible. there are always ways to make the workout harder as you get better. i also love that you can come as much as you want with a membership and there’s no class limit. so glad i joined!!

A $800 collection bill it’s absolutely greed. There were 2 months I didn’t attend a single day and still paid in full. Sometimes things don’t work out. That’s why the push the contract which I originally was told was 6 months. Based on the $800 collection (which I’ll never pay) the contract was not six months. I would never do a gym contract again.

If you think you hate exercise and that you aren't a sportive person and that going to the gym makes you anxious, try this. I love this place and believe me i wasn't into any kind of exercise or sports before. But this type of kickboxing parcours just for 30 minutes fits exactly what i need and want (30 minutes it's an easy commitment). I also like that it's only for women, just feels easier for me. The only guy is Brian the manager of the place and he is great and very easy going ! The other trainers are all girls and they are all super nice and fun. I never felt uncomfortable or pushed too hard. And believe me I am a socially challenged person, I don't speak good english_I'm french_ and 2 years ago i would have told you that exercising rhymes with torture for me. Now, i managed to change my routine and habits to commit to go at least 2 times a week and i end up going 4 times sometimes. The good feeling you get after your 30minutes is priceless !
I never thought i would enjoy kickboxing but thank you Brian and your team, you guys changed my mind (and my 💪 i guess 😛) !

I've been coming to this gym for almost 6 months now, my friend who has been coming for over 2 years convinced me to try the first class and I really enjoyed it.
The gym is all open, with the exception of the owner Brian, who has been one of the sweetest men I've ever met. He is incredibly respectful and invested in creating a women focused and empower environment. All the trainers who work with us on the circuit are women, and excellently trained at that. I always get help on my form and encouragement on my workouts.
Coming to the gym here doesn't feel like a chore, it feels like coming to hangout with a greay group. Everyone is always supportive and encouraging.
I definitely reccomend giving 30 min a try, once your get into a routine it's so much.
The gym will also occasionally hold casual get togethers or game nights so it really feels like a community.

I have mixed feelings about submitting a somewhat negative review, but I do feel my thoughts may be helpful to others.
Upon taking the free first class, immediately following the class you are asked to sit down with the owner Brian. I will say I felt pressured to sign up for a membership immediately after a tough workout where my brain wasn’t thinking normally.
A couple months later, I experienced health issues that made it impossible to do such high intensity workouts. I emailed Brian hoping to be released from my contract, but he said that wasn’t possible. I do wish that they could have been more understanding, but I also know that it’s a business and they need to make money.
The last thing I will say is I was under the impression that all the trainers would be women and that appealed to me a lot. However, Brian was at the gym almost every time I went. If the draw for you is a women only or space, this is not that.
I can see this is a space that works for many people. These are just my two cents. Thanks!

Best gym and environment I have ever seen! This place is so community based and the friendliness of the owner and staff are unbelievable. If you are new to the area or are just looking to get healthy and make friends then this is the place for you! The circuit is drop/in style so you get out what you put in (with great encouragement from the skilled trainers). Let's Get Hit!

I've been a member here for the past year and recently renewed my membership because I love it! I always feel better, happier, and stronger after going. It's not just an empowering workout, it's the positive and supportive energy from the owner and trainers, the community oriented atmosphere and the overall good vibes that sets this gym apart from the rest. I've made friends here and 30 Minute Hit has easily become one of my favorite places.

SCAMMERS. Do not go there unless you want them to take hundreds of dollars from you because of their incompetence to respond to you in a timely manner to cancel you membership. Refuses to respond to emails and will not help you out in any way shape or form. Only time they’ll contact you is when you stop submitting payments and they email you to threaten you with collections. Disgusting predatory establishment.

My favorite gym! I’ve been kickboxing for over 20 years and during covid my other place shut down and I happened to drive by curious. So glad I joined 30 minute hit. I may get a little loud having fun encouraging the others while dancing to the awesome music and hitting the bags (they do take song recommendations!) but it’s the best way to start my busy day with a quick hit and chat with the owner Brian and the trainers.
Now get in here! 🥊

The only exercise I've been able to maintain consistently is at this gym, and it’s truly an incredible workout! The best part? You’re done in just 30 minutes, making it so easy to fit into your schedule, in the mornings or afternoon. The community here is amazing—supportive and encouraging. Over time, I've seen myself getting stronger, and it's all thanks to the great atmosphere and efficient workouts. Highly recommend!

I am not one for going to the gym, but Brian, Ellen and the other trainers made this such a fun and rewarding way to work out. The circuit aspect of the gym and having trainers there to encourage and give you tips during your workout makes your workout super fun and stress-free. I really appreciate the sense of community they create during your workout and by setting up out of the gym get togethers. All the gym members are also so kind and encouraging.

I was totally intimidated to start a boxing class. I am uncoordinated and have no rhythm. But my first trial class with Brian put me right at ease. He walked me through the whole circuit and was very encouraging. The environment is super supportive. There’s always an instructor super attentive and willing to motivate and help and to push you to keep doing better. This was a great program that really helped me at a time that I needed a change and some motivation. Would definitely recommend.

This is a special community to be part of! I joined this place a few months ago because of how strong and sweaty the workouts made me feel. The owner, Brian, and the trainers are caring, skilled, and very encouraging. There are many community building events and ways of making people feel a sense of belonging and welcome. If you’re skeptical, follow them on Instagram and get a sense of what it’s like or do a free trial class. I also love how I could come in anytime during open hours and get started on my workout without waiting for a set class time.

When i first came to 30 Min Hit, it was a free trial class I saw while on Instagram. I thought, cool, I'll try a free class and see if I'm up to increasing my workout regime, but if not, all good. I get a free class, got to see what this place is all about and I'm done. When I got there, the energy was immediately exiting - I felt like i walked into the club! haha. I was welcomed by Brian and he introduced me to my trainer for the trial class, he showed me around and pointed out all the features as if I had already been there, it was such a warm welcome, and as I was guided through each station with my trainer Jennifer, she met me exactly where I was at. No pushing to go harder, constant encouragement on technique and explanation of what part of the body each exercise is helping. I didn't even realize the course is self-defense based, which was even more gratifying. By the end of my class, I got to sit with Brian and before he went into asking if I was interested in joining, he talked about his reasoning for opening this gym, creating a place that is graciously curated for women, to support and empower women. And it truly is that and more. I didn't realize how much I missed and perhaps needed a sense of community, and especially for working out, going to the gym, it can be so intimidating and isolating if you're not as comfortable - I sure wasn't. But that has changed since I 've been going. It's been 5 months and I have enjoyed every moment, even the ones that I hated (haha) What I love most is that Brian told me from the beginning, "it won't get easier, but you will get stronger." He was right. It's just as challenging today as it was for me on my first class. But I am stronger in so many ways, from the way I breathe, how I carry my posture and confidence, whether I'm walking late in the dark or on a call at work. I have felt my mental and physical strength grow and glow. Every little bit, it's those small steps that make a difference. And if I can't make it to class, I can do a circuit at home. No matter how I show up when I get to class - excited, tired, anxious, nervous, angry, sad, depleted, I know the moment I walk in those doors for the next 30 minutes, I am going to supported, encouraged (mostly everyone cheers each other on throughout), not judged and met fully wherever I'm at. Brian and the trainers are there to meet you with a smile, to help you work on technique, going for a new challenge or just easy shoutouts if you just need to take it easy. Not once will you every be pushed in a way that is presumptive or intimating, it's more like, "go you for showing up for yourself today! we're right here with you" How many places in life is that possible outside of close friends and family these days? The trainers are phenomenal. I am so grateful that I have found 30 min hit. If you're on the fence, I'll tell you, yes, it will be hard, it won't get easier, but I promise, you will be stronger. When you get here, I'll be here to cheer you on.

Could not recommend more! I went to 30 Minute Hit after having a very inconsistent workout schedule and no kickboxing experience. Brian and the trainers (all female) welcomed me and the transition into the gym was easy. Brian, the trainers, and other members are great and the workouts are a lot of fun. Super convenient that you can pop in whenever and don't have to schedule a specific workout time.

I joined this gym about a month ago after taking advantage of their free trial class and have absolutely loved it! The best thing about it is that it's a women's gym so the community is super strong and uplifting. If you're curious at all about kick boxing and self defense, then definitely give this place a try.
The format is a little weird compared to your typical gym; there are no structured classes and you do the same 30 minute routine every time you come in. I was skeptical about this at first, thinking it would get easy/redundant after awhile but that is not the case! Every time I come in, I learn something new like a new form or a new variation that keeps things challenging and interesting.
Also, all of the trainers are awesome! They're friendly, encouraging, and really push you to your limits every session. I truly cannot say enough great things about this gym.
It's primarily street parking in this area but it's pretty easy to find a spot and most parking is free for the first 2 hours.

In my search for kick boxing I found glowing reviews of this Cap Hill all women's gym. I was sold during my trial session. Great vibes all around!! If you like cameraderie, incredible support, so much personal training attention especially for the nominal cost of the monthly fee, laughter, motivation and looking forward to getting yourself to the gym THIS is the spot! The owner Brian is fantastic! Yes, he's the one male here, though see for yourself - one couldn't have a better supporter in their kick boxing quest, feeling safe and comfortable.

I have been going to the 30minHit studio for over a year now. I think this has the best combination of a high intensity workout with self defense techniques. From the moment I took a trial session I just loved it. It took me a while to build strength for a consistent form but the trainers here are patient, amazing and guided me to build my form. The community is another beautiful thing about the studio here, you always leave the studio with a happy feeling. AMAZING. I was at first skeptical about how every single review was 5 stars. Not a single person lied. Genuinely great staff who make an effort to adapt to your skill level. I was injured and every single trainer showed me modifications to the workout so that I could still come in and exercise without hurting myself. As of the training, I’m a pretty athletic person but boy did this workout run me down, every single time I go, I sweat. Highly recommend if you like quick but aggressive workouts!

I have been working out here for about 6 months. Boxing started as my cross-training but quickly became a staple of my workout regiment. In just a few months, I went from being barely able to complete the circuit to doing advanced levels, and unable to hold a plank for more than 30 seconds to holding a plank for 2 minutes with abs showing through.
The coaches here are great. They give lots of 1:1 attention and work closely with you to improve your form. This is a good boxing studio for a beginner to learn the ropes, or a more advanced person to refine their technique.
