About the Club

8 Limbs is committed to being a supportive and welcoming place to learn and grow through the mind-body practices of yoga.

We root our commitment in the 8 limbs of yoga, precepts for living that originated in South Asia and Northern Africa, and honor the lineage of teachers that have informed us as practitioners of yoga in the West. We pledge to practice all 8 limbs of yoga within our business and ourselves.

The 8 limbs of yoga are yama (attitudes toward environment), niyama (attitudes toward self), asana (physical postures), pranayama (breathing practices), pratyahara (sensory restraint), dharana (concentration), dhyana (meditation), and samadhi (complete integration).

Chiara is the best teacher. Would recommend her class to anyone. Particularly if you enjoy a bit more seated yoga, are elderly, or are recovering from injury. Also has zoom options. A wonderful healing atmosphere. She has a contagious personality, such a lively spirit.

I thoroughly enjoy the in-person classes I do at 8-Limbs Phinney studio. Recently, due to my own scheduling screw up, I've taken advantage of their Live Streaming yoga session, and I've very happy with the way it works. They seem to have the audio portion and the visual part down properly. I can see perfectly the moves the instructor is showing us. All in all, I'm a Happy Camper with my 8-limbs visits.

Just took the Flow/Core class and absolutely adore this place. My fellow classmates and the instructor were great. It was more of a workout than I thought, which was just what I needed. Great spot!

This studio seems very inclusive of age and ability and has a community feel. You can tell the practice focuses on principles of yoga rather than "getting fit" which was refreshing. Would recommend.

I've been attending classes for years. I now use the I online class option and it's been a wonderful way to regularly practice. The instructors are so knowledgeable and accepting of thise of is without a depth of ability.

I've done Iyengar, Ashtanga and general Hatha at various studios around Seattle since 2000. 8 limbs is a nice studio with experienced and kind instructors.

I’ve gone to quite a few yoga studios and they always seem to be on the end of two extremes. This is a good blend that gives a great workout while still being mindful and relaxing. I’ll be going here quite often

The instructor Douglas is very inclusive. His manner reaches out and connects the themes of the class to everyone in the room no matter what their individual motivations are for coming. Outstanding in every way.

This place is fantastic. Very eclectic mix of teachers and styles. Their 21 day unlimited offer for new students might just be the best deal in all of Seattle - it really gives you a chance to get to know the studio and the different teachers.

I really love the instructors and laid back atmosphere. Instructors are knowledgable, kind, and attentive. I can come in on a good day and get a great workout or come In on a bad day and give myself credit for showing up without judgment. Everything is organized and the system in-particular for signing up for classes is clear. Very happy to be a part of the community. Thank you!

I have been doing 8 limbs online for a couple of years after moving from Seattle to California. The teachers are great. The classes are great. The vibe is great. The other students are great. And I feel great. I do it 5 times a week and 8 limbs has become vital to my life. Truth. Thanks.

I'm a long-time member of this studio. I have always found 8 Limbs, the instructors & their methods to be focused on individual needs and how yoga offers a holistic approach to health & wellness. They incorporate deeper and more relevant facets of yoga. Not just reducing it to a gym work-out or an exercise in vanity.

All the teachers are amazing in their own way. Each class is different. A lot of diversity in each class and each teacher too. I am still enjoying the zoom classes as I don't want to wear a mask while exercising indoors. Thank you for what you do.

Incredible atmosphere, teachers/staff, and class offerings! It was hard for me to find a yoga studio I liked after moving to Seattle, so I was thrilled when I discovered 8 Limbs. There are so many different styles of yoga offered and their workshops are amazing. It's also very apparent that they value you as a student of yoga and not just a customer, as they're very flexible and accommodating to individual needs.

I just completed a 3-week new student unlimited trial period of yoga at 8 Limbs in Phinney Ridge and have absolutely loved the intentionality behind classes and variety of teaching styles available at the studio. The teachers are all professional, loving, and passionate. I will be continuing to frequent 8 Limbs!

I love this place. They have a really welcoming culture and community. I meet people here from different walks, all practicing together at their own levels. The instructors are kind, have varying backgrounds and teaching styles. The facility is clean, safe, and comfortable. They have mats, bolsters, blofks, straps, balls, and something fancy called a SOMAT. Check it out.

I started attending the 8 Limbs studio for the prenatal classes. I found the classes to be super welcoming and really helpful with the different aches and pains I've been experiencing throughout my pregnancy. There is always a check-in at the beginning of class and the teachers will keep in mind what you are trying to work on that day or week. Also, the modifications I've learned in the prenatal classes have helped me continue to attend the Level 1 Hatha classes without feeling uncomfortable or lost. I've been primarily attending the Phinney Ridge studio but also have attended classes at Wedgwood. Both are great. Highly recommend.

This yoga studio is okay. I tried the one month trial and chose not to continue going here. Some of the instructors seemed like they were teaching for the first time. The studio itself is also strangely arranged, so you can’t go to the bathroom if there is a class in session. It’s also not hot yoga which might be what some people are looking for.

My favorite yoga studio, I've been attending for several years. I've been able to find a few of the teacher's styles that I connect with and they challenge me every time and they take the time to vary each class so it's not redundant, which I really appreciate. And there are so many classes offered thru out the day! Love this place with my heart
