8 Limbs is committed to being a supportive and welcoming place to learn and grow through the mind-body practices of yoga.
We root our commitment in the 8 limbs of yoga, precepts for living that originated in South Asia and Northern Africa, and honor the lineage of teachers that have informed us as practitioners of yoga in the West. We pledge to practice all 8 limbs of yoga within our business and ourselves.
The 8 limbs of yoga are yama (attitudes toward environment), niyama (attitudes toward self), asana (physical postures), pranayama (breathing practices), pratyahara (sensory restraint), dharana (concentration), dhyana (meditation), and samadhi (complete integration).

In 8Limbs instructors I have found a neighborhood community that supports my work on myself and my mental & physical strength through yoga. I have found community, emotional safety, encouragement to push myself and my skills ... and where I can clear my mind and be a better self. I also appreciate the broad range of classes, days and times. In the evening classes I attend most regularly, I feel that Douglas builds balance with strength and Nancy builds strength with balance. It's a weekly combo that really works for me.

Excellent collaborative chakra healing workshop by Emily featuring herbal tea by Katharine. All senses were addressed. Beginning with taste via a special heart chakra blended tea by Katharine. Details provided regarding herbs chosen for the tea. Emily guided us thru a gentle yoga flow, including affirmations throughout & ended with a sound bath. Different closing tea also provided. Highly recommend ππΌ

8 Limbs has a wonderfully inviting, calm and inclusive space. The instructors that I have taken classes from, adapt the classes to all levels, so I feel welcomed to "do as you are able" - truly loving and celebrating the practice of Yoga. My flexibility, strength and overall body confidence has improved greatly through the classes and wonderul community! Karen, Adi and Chiara's classes have been wonderful and I have a goal to take a class from every teacher! Get on the mat and give them a try!

Attending a yoga class at 8 limbs is always the very best decision I make for myself! I always come out of class feeling lighter in every way, less stressed and nourished in my body and mind. A class with MJ is a gift I give to myself. Her knowledge of the practice, the way she welcomes everyone, her sequencing and design of the poses are all well thought out and infused with great love and care. I cannot recommend this studio, true to the roots of yoga- yoking not only body mind and spirit with yourself, but with eachother. Thank you 8Limbs, for thriving and existing!! I love you!!!

8 Limbs Phinney Ridge is my yoga family. Iβve had great experiences with all the instructors. Whether Iβm looking for a strengthening flow, gentle stretching with breath work or specialized training (Somat, Pilates), there is an experienced instructor to help.

The instructors are very knowledgeable and each have their own unique style that engages the audience. Providing modifications as well more challenging options. I find it impressive that they are able to take requests for areas that the audience would like to work on and incorporate it through their class sequence. I look forward to experiencing a second class from each instructor to see if the classes build or are completely different each week.

Chiara was my TT trainer along with Melina M and Anne Phyfe. I have been out of the city since 2021. Great to visit back three years later and be encouraged by CG again. She is the best of the best.

I love the instructors! They are welcoming, experienced and able to help folks adjust for different abilities. It feels like a welcoming community space. In particular, Tracy and MJ are two of my favorite instructors in the city. I always leave their classes feeling centered and fulfilled. Ive followed them from other sites of practice and would recommend their classes to anyone regardless of ability.

I came back to 8 Limbs after having not attended for about 8 years. (I have gone to a couple of sound bath events but not regular classes.) I had a month off of work for a medical leave so I did one month unlimited and went to a lot of different classes. I liked all of them and there were a few that I loved. Especially MJ's Bhakti Flow class at Phinney.

The most welcoming yoga studio I've ever been to. A collective of teachers that bring in different approaches and styles but what all of them have in common is a depth of their own practice and classes that weave together not just the physical aspects of yoga but also the spiritual/wisdom underpinnings from the yoga sutras. Also appreciate the kind management. 8 limbs feels like home at this point.

8 Limbs Yoga was the most welcoming and caring yoga place! The instructor was kind and easy to follow. The place had such great energy with members that felt at home and relaxed. It felt like being in a really happy home and I left feeling strong and limber. I have already recommended it to several of my friends.

I've been coming to yoga classes at 8 Limbs for a few months and would highly recommend, especially for people who are pretty new to yoga. The instructors are fantastic, the class size is great, the space is super calm and relaxing, and everyone is friendly and welcoming. I went from hardly ever doing yoga to attending 1β2 times per week, and I really enjoy it.

I've been coming here for prenatal yoga since about halfway through my second trimester and am now almost at the end of my pregnancy. It has been a FANTASTIC experience! Having done yoga prior to pregnancy and continuing to run through pregnancy, I really found it physically and mentally to be exactly what I needed. Also, Megan is a wonderful instructor!! Highly recommend!

8 Limbs yoga studio in Wedgwood is always a welcoming place! I was a complete beginner my first visit and I felt comfortable to just immerse myself into the class from the get-go. The instructors are encouraging, welcoming, well versed in their practice. They are great guides in the physical and mental components of each session-teaching you how to adapt accordingly to your bodyβs needs. I would highly recommend this studio. There is also a small lot to park in as well.

This is a very nice yoga studio. The all-levels classes are, appropriately, for all levels of practitioners. The style of the classes (hatha) is slightly slower and more meditative than more common vinyasa style. You don't move faster than you can breathe. There's lots of space in the studio, and you can still take a class even if you're 15 minutes late.

Itβs a tricky process, trying to figure out where you feel safe to be vulnerable. Yoga is a process, in which we confront ourselves on the mat, and learn more about ourselves. The Wedgewood 8 Limbs Yoga Center is a safe place to do that. The teachers have many years of experience, are deeply rooted in the philosophy of yoga and are there to help challenge and support you through a practise. The overall vibe is welcoming and non judgemental, and you see all kinds of bodies and abilities, which makes it feel even safer for being a place of acceptance.
