Excellent dance school for children and adults. Instructors work with student assistants that are closer to the age of students, specifically in children's classes. I especially like end of semester performances on stage. Dance itself is a self-confidence building activity, together with an on-stage performance it is a remarkable and invaluable experience for anyone. There are so many wonderful things we can say about Allegro. The training is first class in all areas. The attention to detail, support and communication is the best. We are very disappointed in the way Allegro dance treated my daughter. We were doing tiny tots with Ms Becca and she was progressing really well so we signed her up for pre- ballet. After her first class, they just dropped her and I later received a phone call that she was a “better fit” for tiny tots. When I asked for further clarification, none was provided. I sent an email with no response. They unregistered her for the class before they even spoke to me. My daughter is going to be crushed bc she has been working towards ballet. Communication, sensitivity, and professionalism are severely lacking. I understand for advanced classes having to meet some criteria to be in the class but she is a 3 year old in the lowest level class.

Dance classes are nice so thats why im giving 3 stars. However during the recitals you have to listen to the owner talk about how we are on traditional native land. As a native it's a slap in my face. I don't want to hear about it if she doesn't plan on giving the land back that her business sits on. I signed my 5 year old up for the hip hop / jazz class. The dance instructor for this class shut the blinds as we were watching the kids dance. I understand people watching can be a distraction, but we bring our kids to these type of classes to watch, cheer, and encourage them. The instructor was pretty rude overall. Didn’t give a fun or playful feeling, worries me for the kids.

Also, my other daughter asked the front desk for the Wi-Fi password to connect while she waited for her sister, and she was told Wi-Fi is only for people working or students. Seriously?? I think it’s silly how strict they are about some of their rules. Takes the fun out. After this season we will be looking for a different dance studio.

Allegro PAA has been amazing. They have pivoted with grace and kindness with all of the changing requirements that COVID has presented. I thought they were great before COVID. Now I think they are approaching super-heroes. Dance is physical but also an emotion expression. My daughter has been dancing at Allegro for almost three years now...and I can confidently say that it has positively influenced her in so many ways. During the pandemic, life was difficult for kids and having dance to look forward to (even via zoom!) was such a comfort.The teachers at Allegro are challenging but also very encouraging and fun. I can see now that Allegro pride isn't just a hash tag, it's a genuine feeling that dancers embody as part of this loving community. I am so grateful that we have such a talented and committed faculty at Allegro, even with a car crashing through the door and a major construction nightmare, they still managed to have a successful dress rehearsal and holiday showcase days later. This community is something special!!!! And even though I spend many hours each week there waiting for my dancer, I wouldn't have it any other way :)I always feel so at home there. Allegro is such a high-quality studio that really cares about its students. They work with their students in all aspects of dance including dance history. My daughter and I came to Allegro in 2001, where she excelled and performed with their Precision Dance Teams in all genres of dance until she graduated from high school and went off to college. I took tap, missed a couple of years (2003 & 2004), then returned in 2005 and have been taking tap lessons there ever since. The teachers are very encouraging and patient but expect you to be respectful and put in the time to learn what is being taught. I love taking lessons at Allegro!

Where do I start? We came to Allegro many years ago with my oldest daughter, My middle danced there for quite sometime and so did my youngest (her dance career was short) after her first showcase when she was three years old she decided she never wanted to dance again on stage. It was quiet the event 🥴 here we are back again after she grew up a little bit and decided she wanted to dance again. We started at a place close to our home, during her Christmas performance I quickly realized what was missing! The allegro pride, strive for perfection and it was a decision I made while watching the other show. My middle daughter turned to me and said: Mom, she has potential get her to allegro I will help drive! So here we are, she is 11 now and we are so glad to be back!

I've been tapping at Allegro for 12 years, starting as a beginning adult and progressing to intermediate. The "senior" classes I dance in include older youth and a handful of adults, who are welcomed and supported equally.

Allegro teacher's are seasoned pros who each bring a different teaching style and a sense of fun to class. Students are supportive of each other, talented, and dedicated. Training includes skills, performance, history (which I love), dancers and musicians, and other aspects of the art form.

Allegro has gone above and beyond since 2020 to keep students dancing, whether safely in class or online.

My daughter has been dancing at this studio for five years and has been on the competitive team for three. She has loved it from her first day. My kids danced at allegro for almost 6 years and they loved the place we did too, until we decided to choose one of what they called “the best teacher that they have in there”, well I wish I wouldn’t have done that, it was a huge mistake, otherwise my kids would be still there, this teacher was extremely rude and disrespectful to my daughter and to myself too, and at the end of the class she didn’t even apologize to my daughter or me, after the incident I reached out to the owner by email, and what my surprise was that the owner didn’t even care for how my daughter felt, she didn’t even bother to keep us as customers and I mean we never interact with her she didn’t even knew us, she took the the teachers side, my daughter felt humiliated by this teacher, she aggressively grabbed my daughter by her arm in front of the whole class, I bit my tongue and I hold myself to not act the same way she was because they were little kids in the studio, but she didn’t care, she doesn’t have education nor respect tours the students nor even the parents, how can the owner didn’t care for how my daughter felt?!?or at least fix the issue?!? Why would you have this type of business where the most important person there are the children?!? Teachers name is Ricky Lynn, don’t have your children take classes with her she has no patients with kids she knows only how to deal with the teenagers.. I thought the owner was highly professional but no it was the opposite, this place only focus on the kids that are on competitions, the kids that are not in the competitions don’t count..
The environment in this place doesn’t feel like a second home for the kids and also for the parents.

Allegro is one of the biggest reasons I have gotten to be where I am today. The teachers, students, and family I have grown close to over the past 6 years have made me happier and healthier than I have ever been in my life. Tonya Goodwillie, the owner of the studio, has fostered a wonderful home away from home. It's a safe, caring environment that teaches respect, empathy, dedication, grit, and love.

My daughter has been dancing at Allegro for 10 months now and our experience has been wonderful. The space itself is great, with 6 large, flexible dance rooms and comfortable common areas. The studio offers a wide variety of classes on different styles and levels, so the dancers are constantly having opportunities to be challenged and to keep developing their technique. In addition to the regular classes, there are plenty of opportunities for those who want more than recreational dance, like an amazing competition team, a hip hop troupe, master classes and performance opportunities. The staff is always very helpful and efficient, teachers are great and attentive to the needs of individual dancers, constantly giving feedback and helping each dancer understand how they can improve and grow.
For all these reasons, I recommend this studio for anyone who wants to learn and enjoy dance at its best!

I moved to this studio at the age of 13 and everyone was so excepting of me. The students all very kind with coming up to me the first day and introducing themselves! The teachers all care about you as a person along with how to help you grow as a dancer. And the environment there is really to learn and not judge which level your at. Allegro teachers are incredibly kind while also pushing their dancers to reach their full potential. The office staff is always willing to help. They have a system going that really works---always planning ahead with schedules far in advanced. This is so appreciated for being able to plan ahead for the year! The studio environment has so much to offer for kids and teens that just want to dance as a side hobby or for those that want to take up the art professionally. I highly recommend it! Mistake after mistake. Their office is *incredibly* unorganized. No one knows what anyone is doing in that office. They've over charged us, made us fill out wrong forms, poor communication within the office amongst each other, they never told us what costume to get our daughter, etc, etc. The list goes on. Its kind of like a cattle lot in there....just pushing kids through with no quality instruction.
