A terrific place to receive one on one personal training. I highly recommend James Moran for your training sessions. He came highly recommended from a friend and I see why. Clearly, he love what he does. Sincere, professional and knowledgeable training sessions, delivered with great expertise. Most of all he is invested in insuring I achieve my goals in a timely fashion.
Thank you, James and Anytime Fitness!!

Small Quaint Gym next to a Trader Joe’s. $60 per month. Was given summer deal, with 2 months free.
Pros:
- well lit clean gym.
- Nice professional staff.
- contract comes with a complimentary session with trainer to help meet goals.
- trained with James. He was a sweet pleasant guy. Gave me good tips on exercise form.
- Gigi is a very helpful, kind manager who handled my inquiries professionally.
- decent amount of equipment considering gym size. They all your necessary equipment, free weights, squat racks, dumbbells, cardio equipment, machines..kettlebells. Oh the kettlebells 😄. Will give this gym a 10/10 if they add maces/gadas.
Cons:
- parking. While most parking is free, they can be somewhat hard to come by at times. Will have to actively search.
- small gym size. Can be a little cramped at times, with the amount of equipment they have.
- Some of the equipment positioning are a little awkward. The squat racks face each other, so be prepared for some eye contact squats.
- missing t bar row machine. While they do have the barbell version, it would be nice to have standard t bar row machine.
Pleasant gym experience.

Convenient location with good enough equipment, but several concerns:
1. The advertised 7-day “free” trial actually cost $40 for 4 days, and despite assurances from the sales rep, cancellation via email was not honored after I signed up in person, even when I explicitly asked while swiping my card.
2. The sales rep suggested parking in the Trader Joe’s lot and buying a protein shake to avoid a fine, which felt risky and unprofessional.
3. The membership model seems designed to lock you into a year-long contract with steep cancellation fees, rather than offering competitive monthly rates like other local gyms.
4. The facility itself is quite small and dimly lit.

A real 24 hour gym in Seattle.
Clean, people are chill, enough equipment and actual space to stretch.
The staff aren't pushy, which I love.
I live close by so I don't use the showers, so no opinion there. There's always been a bathroom available when I've needed one.
It seems small, but I've always been able to use the equipment I want within a few minutes.
Strong recommend.

After the first time visiting this location out of many of the anytime locations it was the worst and I thought I'll only come to this location if I'm desperate, they have very old equipment, all the cardio equipment has very little tension, I have a bad knee so this is important, they don't have any hand weights between 6 to 8 pounds which was very frustrating, no parking and lots of homeless outside, I've been to multiple locations at the start of my membership and then they have the audacity to body shame me by apparently watching the cameras because it was late at night when I visited, they called the place I signed up to complain about me, I guess I'm to fat for this location :(

The cleanliness standards of this gym leave much to be desired. One of the disinfectant spray bottles was low on solution and I saw one of the staff members take the bottle and fill it up with just water from the fountain at the front. I used it shortly after, and sure enough it was pretty much water. It’s bad enough that I see plenty of people not wiping down their equipment after using it, but for the health & cleanliness-conscious folk, you can’t even properly disinfect the equipment you use. I hope the staff take notice and raise the standard and expectations for cleanliness. Really disappointing to see that from a staff member.

Decent selection of free weights, weight machines, and cardio machines. Not a lot of space between all the gear though and felt a bit cramped. Gym could use an update with better lighting and brighter colors inside, as it felt dark.

Update: So when I joined this gym I was promised that my daughter would come. The sale associate even said the owner's daughter also frequents with him. After a couple months, my kid only came with me a few times, ironically the owner kicks us out saying she couldn't be with me in the gym. I was pretty irritated with the whole thing and I felt misled. This is a ok gym for single people. I didn't even get a refund for the month either after they kicked us. Also your membership is not exactly transferable between locations like advertised so make sure you double check with the visiting gym to make sure.

It's an alright gym for it's size. It is nice that they have a hip thrust machine. Definitely recommend going at odd times, though. It can get packed from 3pm-7:30pm. I also don't recommend ever taking your shoes off. Out of the 10 years I've been going to the gym this is the first time I've picked up a fungal infection on my feet. The cleaning crew seems to rush through cleaning tasks. They could definitely be more thorough with sanitizing floors of the gym, shower floors, as well as sanitizing actual equipment. They just quickly vacuum, replenish sani-bottles, and take out trash from what I've observed first hand. So keep your shoes on, even with the mats. They are a weird material that seems to hold onto a lot of microbes. I'd recommend they get mats that are the sleek material which are easier to sanitize, as well. The training seems fairly thorough from what I have experienced firsthand thus far. We'll see how receptive they are to my cleaning recommendations and mat suggestions. For now, I give them a 3 out of 5.

Also, my Anytime Fitness membership is included in my Medicare Advantage insurance plan, an amazing benefit for seniors for our continued health and fitness. I joined this gym about a month ago and have had a great experience. All of the staff are super friendly, and the gym is not too crowded.
I started training with Coach John a few weeks ago. He plans workouts that push me to work harder that I would on my own. He keeps me accountable for going to the gym, and I’ve had a great experience so far. I would recommend working with him.

Very disappointed. I use to go to anytime as loyal customer than in October 2021 I left due to some unkind energy and rudeness of other gym members. I heard the gym was Renovated and I thought maybe I could look again and get a feel to see if I want to come back. I was super excited Because even though the price is high I loved this gym; it was the beginning of my journey.Went to tour with Leslye. Well more like I was told to just look around by myself and that I couldn’t try anything. (Great start, for someone who’s trying to come back and get a feel of the “community”. Also left alone With a “newly renovated “gym….) than I was told if I had any questions/ ready to sign up that I would have to make another appointment cause she was very busy…. Why make people sign up for appointments spots if you are to busy to show them around/sign them up…
I left feeling more hurt by this place than I could of ever imagined.(especially because now it was from the workers not other gym members) I will say Adam was your best recruiter. He was great at creating a welcoming environment in anytime that I just don’t see it getting back. And he gave amazing tours and aloud you to try some machines.(he even would show you how machines worked during if you asked!)
Also the gym looks nice but the only new machine added was a hip thrust machine, they also did add some new grip attachments. (They will say the stair masters are apart of new machines, but if you are an old member you would know them stair masters need to be replace.) I understand why y’all charge more than average gyms but I did expect a lot more out of your customer service. I’m sad to say but I think anytime is just not the welcoming gym/ place I knew. I hope Carlos and Von are doing well as they were two of the only people who showed me any kindness before leaving. Sad I didn’t get to see them today cause I know they would have been more welcoming/ willing to show me around.
Stay Groovy,
Sheen

Activation fee is about $89 for them to give you an access fob.
Monthly fee is over $80 (including tax).
That's more than double 24 hour fitness. And if you walk less than 10 minutes to the YMCA, you can get a pool, basketball court, AND your fees go to good causes rather than lining someone's pocket. This Anytime is about half the size of a Seattle townhouse, while 24 and the YMCA are probably 6 times larger -- for about half as much money.
This Anytime location has also cut their free trial from 7 days to 3, claiming that they wanted to reduce crowding during the pandemic. I asked if they also offer off-peak pricing as an option to pay less (which would also reduce crowding). They said no.
I really can't recommend this gym, but I hope they look into better pricing options.
Edit in response to the misleading response from the owner: The prices I've included above include Seattle & WA sales tax. This is what a person pays. If Anytime wants to reduce the amount people pay in tax, they can make their prices more competitive. As the owner pointed out, you can try to join in a state like Oregon that doesn't have sales tax, but imo the savings are negligible compared to lower cost gyms like 24 and the YMCA. None of the options they listed make a substantial improvement to the cost of the gym. Also LOL they are a "small family run facility" with over 5,000 locations. You can't be a megacorporation and "small family run".

This club is good because:
*There’s not much else in the area. YMCA is expensive and gross. Little boutique gyms and CrossFit gyms are expensive. If u live in cap hill it’s this or spend a fortune at the WACC.
*has a shower
*open 24 hours
* staff seem nice
Now the bad. This club sux because:
*zero avail parking. You’ll walk a few blocks.
*equipment is sparse, old, dirty.
* crowded most of the time from 7:00am - 9:00pm
*tiny. Only a handful of benches, treadmills, free weights, and random machines, some form the 1980s.
*almost $100 per month
I’ll keep going, but only because this poophole city has nothing better.

Just went in for a trial at anytime fitness near Trader Joe’s - makeup-less of course since I was about to work out. The gal who greeted me and signed me up, Leslie, told me I look “different” from my drivers license pic and I found this offensive given her tone - I have makeup on in the photo and it was before Covid times (I’ve gained over 20 lbs). Returned my key fob as I won’t be working out here in a place where I feel so uncomfortable, (in my personal opinion these are the kinds of judgements one keeps to oneself!). Love this gym! At first I thought it was small and I wanted more specific machines for my training however i am able to be creative and use what they have and it has worked great for me . As a bodybuilder the gym is non negotiable and I train 5-6 times and it being only a few blocks from where I live is so convenient. The fact it is open 24/7 makes it easy to pick times when it isn’t too crowded to do some specific training that uses multiple machines and weights at the same time. The staff is helpful, friendly and they keep the gym clean and accessible . Even during the Covid shutdown they made all the necessary changes to keep it going.

Disappointed to have to leave this review because I was a longtime customer of AnyTime fitness. The gym had terrible communication with their members during the pandemic, and ended up charging me for over a year of fees where I never went in to the gym once (because it was COVID!). When the mistake was discovered, I was only given 3 months of fees back. They'll say that they sent me "7 emails" to update me on my membership status, but the emails were extremely confusing since the COVID regulations changed back and forth, and the gym kept stopping and starting membership fees. Was very disappointed with the customer service, the person I spoke with was curt and kept repeating that they "sent me 7 emails" about my status. I really wanted to support the gym at first since it's a privately owned local business. Really felt like I was being taken advantage of during a time where everyone is struggling- charged for over 12 months without having gone in once! I was costing them 0$ and they refused to refund me even half my fees after 3 years with the gym. Very glad to be with a new gym now.

Great neighborhood gym! Unlike other gyms I'd been a member of in years past, the Anytime Fitness Cap Hill model seems to focus on investing in the health and well being of its clients (not just signing you up and collecting your dues, hoping you don't come). I've been training in the group classes at Anytime for 5 years now and it's been a wonderful experience. This ATF is a conveniently located boutique-size fitness center in the heart of Capitol Hill. I am grateful for the wellness perks from my employer with Anytime Fitness, which is definitely a huge benefit for me in maintaining a membership. The 24-hr FOB access is super convenient. This is a no-frills smaller gym that has all the basic equipment needed for a complete workout. The smaller size allows for less crowding, which for anyone who dreads going to mega-health clubs, is very ideal. The do offer coaching/personal training and group fitness classes. Their cleaning/sanitizing efforts during the pandemic have been superb as well as their comms with members about opening/closing notifications as the area has moved through reopening phases. All in all - 5 stars!

I’ve been a member of this gym for a few years now, what is doesn’t have in size it makes up for with the friendly staff. The trainers are always ready to help with goals, even if it’s a quick discussion about posture or new moves that can help mobility.
It did get a bit expensive due to the pandemic, but prior to it I was paying just under $40 for global access to any Anytime Fitness (now I think it’s roughly $70-$80).
Best recommendation is to go off peak hours (before noon or after 6pm). Otherwise space/equipment may be a tad difficult to use.

Pretty frustrating when it wasn’t something out of my control. I only visited this location twice before permanently jumping ship to the WS location. This location is always jam packed, rare to find any parking (or an available treadmill), fans are always blasting on high just to push around the sweaty smells. Personally I like to get a good warm up but I end up freezing with all the fans blasting.

I wanted to leave some feedback for Anytime Fitness in Seattle, because it is well-deserved. Not only are the facilities kept clean and fresh, but the gym offers an ample supply of accessory equipment (I made the most use out of foam rollers, weight belts, and chalk).
What's more, the gym actively seeks member feedback for improving the gym (such as purchasing equipment, changing layouts, adding classes, etc).
For the cherry on top, the staff acted with professionalism and grace over an accidental billing dispute, resolving the issue quickly.
Overall, this gym supported my goals in getting stronger and healthier. It is a clean, well stocked environment that makes it easy to keep coming back.

Facility is ok, and has what I need for the most part. I’m used to going to bigger gyms with two of everything so this certainly has been an adjustment, it can feel crowded even if there aren’t really that many people. It helps if you go when there isn’t a group class happening, which essentially cuts the free space in the gym in half. I’m only in town for a few months and they offer a good student deal, so I’m happy enough with this for now but if I were here long term I’d probably join a gym with more space that I’d be more comfortable in. staff seems friendly and patrons are polite.

Well equipped facility, friendly folks working out. I went at 4am (as is my usual practice) to this facility. I'm an AF member back in Boston so this is seamless. Walked 22min up Pike and Madison from the Sheraton (twas a good warm up). Had hex bar, squat racks, dumbbells up to 120# plus all the usual cardio stuff.

Signed up in December last year. Circumstances caused me to move away from this gym and any other anytime fitness (eliminating any opportunity to transfer membership). A year later, still never used ONCE and many many unanswered emails & I am still being charged. The worst customer service I've ever come accross. I know Anytime gyms are privately owned so I cannot speak to the brand itself but I would never suggest this gym. Prior to this experience I belonged to 24hr fitness downtown and in comparison to Anytime - it was cheaper, larger, and the staff was more than accommodating and responsive.

A boutique fitness center with helpful staff, Anytime Fitness is a great little gym. Only issue I’ve come across so far is parking- it’s best to walk or bike here. If you carve 5 minutes to look though you’ll likely find parking mid day.

I'm submitting a new review because the last one was not comprehensive and only focused on the 30 day before next payment cancelation policy that made me unhappy.
I understand that policy is in place to "protect both parties" and I paid for an extra month I won't be using under this policy, $75.14 to be exact, uncontested.
The facility is extremely small, the weights I wanted to use were always in use, 3 days out of the 4-5 days per week I went they were out of paper towels to clean the machines, not only are the weights always in used, most cardio machines were also occupied, usually I end up having no choice but to use the treadmill until something else frees up. I was unhappy about using this gym so I decided to cancel my membership a couple days before my next payment, they suggested I freeze my membership for a month instead and I agreed, I thought I might give it another chance but I decided to cancel at the end of that feeze and was slapped with an extra month of membership that I have no intention of using.
I understand I didn't cancel soon enough for someone else to sign up for the next month and take my place, in my opinion this gym shouldn't be adding people it's already too packed and running out of resources on the daily for their members.
The $75.14 was worth it to get me out of this claustrophobic tiny room.

It's good for what it is - a gym that has an ok amount of equipment. The biggest plus for me is that its close to home and open for 24 hours. The gym could use more weights and more machines, but understandable given the size constraints of the gym.
They have a good amount of cardio machines
An ok amount of machines - two cable machines, lat pulldown machine/seated row, leg curl/leg extension, chest fly/rear delt machine
An ok amount of free weights - 2 squat racks and a dumbbell set that only goes up to 100lbs.

Small space that gets crowded, out of date equipment, do not offer a variety of fitness classes like other gyms, not kept very clean, managers not knowledge. Would not recommend.

Since first contacting them they have been super nice and supportive. The gym is put together well with plenty of space for working out and has enough equipment for several people to work out at the same time. The patrons are also friendly but keep to themselves, which I like. They have locations everywhere so you'll never be too far from your next workout!

A bit overpriced and the location is not ideal as parking tends to be taken up by the Trader Joe's customers.

Smaller sized gym but has every machine you could thing of. Street parking only, which is pretty much nonexistent, but if you have to go to Trader Joe's their parking lot is right next door!

I've been a member since they opened and the owners and staff are all invested in making this a great place to exercise. It's clean, the equipment is well maintained and they offer a variety of classes. There are also monthly challenges, community involvement opportunities and even events outside the club.

Way too small and way too crowded. Not a good deal at all, the ymca down the street has better equipment, classes, community and facilities all for less cost. Really regret my membership here, this location sucks bad.
Sadly, I tried the ymca too late.

Really the only option for the area if you're looking for good equipment selection and 24 hour access. Missing some notable machines for heavier lifting but overall a great place. Could be cheaper, less crowded and update equipment more but that's common to all gyms.

This is my main Anytime I go to and I love the staff and serve but gym is too small. It feels really cramped when a little more than a handful of people are there. I love Anytime and I try my best to not go to this branch during peak hours (7am-9am & 4pm-9pm).
