My daughter joined auburn dance academy a year ago. She was new to dance so we figured we would check a couple dance studios out before joining. However, after visiting Auburn Dance Academy we knew we found our home! The owners, coaches and staff have been so supportive and encouraging! They really invest in the children and are their biggest cheerleaders! I have watched my daughter transform before my eyes. Her confidence and self esteem has grown more than I could have imagined! The Auburn Dance Academy is so much more than just a dance studio they are family! A family that supports, encourages and truly cares! Definitly recommend this Studio! We wouldn't go anywhere else!

Disappointed by Poor Communication

This isn't the first time we've experienced issues, but today was the final straw. My husband left work early to take our daughter to the Auburn location because the email we received was unclear—we couldn’t tell if she had class or a dress rehearsal. I called and texted for clarification, but as of 4:50 PM, I received no response or call back. This level of communication is unacceptable, and I’ve decided not to continue with this place.

P.S. You may feel that everything is going well because you have a lot of people enrolled, but not everyone is comfortable speaking up when something isn’t right. Please take this as an honest reminder to review and improve your communication practices.

My daughter started recently and already loves the studio and staff at ADC. I started very young, and it’s a dream to have my daughter do the same. Tuition is reasonable and meant to be inclusive, which I absolutely love.

I love this family run dance studio! My kids have been going here for over four years now and will continue to be apart of this team for as long as they want to dance. This is a studio that offers so much opportunity to learn and grow and perfect skills in so many different areas of theatrical arts but most importantly they value family and teamwork to the point that it always feels like a safe place for my daughters to make life long friendships.

I can't say enough wonderful things about this dance studio! My daughter has been attending for about a year and she loves coming and I also enjoy the downtime watching them practice. Show weekends are MAGICAL. The performances are well-organized, and the attention to detail is impeccable. The owner, Peter, is incredibly welcoming and eager to talk about anything on your mind. My seven year old daughter absolutely loves Auburn Dance Academy! Her dance classes are the highlight of her week! The teachers are fun, patient, and are doing a phenomenal job teaching her technical dance skills. She also had the chance to audition and be cast in the December showcase where she is learning how to act and advance her dance skills with kids of all ages. This place is awesome!!! Everyone is so nice and helpful. The owner, Peter explains to you in detail what the students are being taught. It’s more than just dance. The other students are also super sweet and respectful kids. My daughter has felt very welcomed by the other students. My 4 year old son also joined and loved it! The dance teachers are great! Auburn Dance Academy is amazing! I used to dance at the Auburn location many years ago. Then my siblings and cousins did as well. Now my child is dancing at the Bonney lake location. All I can say is they are wonderful! The teacher and staff are all incredible. You get what you pay for! They work hard to make sure your child is learning, is getting better and is still having fun! The recitals are an entire production that you will be amazed by!

The Auburn Dance Academy is more than a dance studio, it’s a place of growth, character development, and leadership. The philosophy of the school is ensuring that our children become future leaders in our community, that they develop confidence, self-worth, and a heart of generosity towards those around them.

When my daughter started her first class, having had very minimal experience in formal dance, form, terminology etc., several of the other students saw her struggling with the warmup moves and helped her of their own volition. She told me afterward that because they were doing the moves with her, she didn’t feel as embarrassed. The parents are also very encouraging to new students and go out of their way to tell them they are doing great and make them feel less awkward in the beginning.

Jen and Pete are very knowledgeable about dancing and considering their whole family has done it for years, you can see the love and passion for dance and the reason they have opened these schools. They can answer any questions, make recommendations and are very welcoming. I would highly recommend making this the dance home for you and your children.

We’ve been with ADA for a couple years now and we absolutely love it! My daughter’s confidence and personality has grown SO much since beginning her journey here. She has stepped out of her shell and she shines so much because of the mentorship here. They are a family owned business, which is so nice because you start to feel like a part of the family, rather than just a customer.
Not only do they do dance, but there are so many opportunities to advance your talents outside of dance, such as acting, singing, etc. We love ADA and highly recommend giving them a try if your child is interested in performing :)

When we first came to Auburn, only my daughter was dancing. After seeing how happy she was at the studio, my son decided to start dancing there as well. Both of my children LOVE it at ADA and we are going on our 4th year/season there. Not only have they gained skills/technique, but they have expressed to me over and again that they feel safe and happy when they are at the studio. We left a different studio after having a horrific experience that nearly destroyed my daughter so making sure her environment felt safe to her was my top priority.

My children are thriving at ADA and I can't imagine them dancing anywhere else!!! 💜

My daughter has been attending here going on 3 years. We absolutely love ADA and highly recommend their studios. The teachers and owners are caring and go above and beyond for the kids and families. We came in to try them out for the summer session a couple years ago for the first time and ended up signing up for all their classes and now compete with them. My daughter is on her 2nd year of dance lessons here. I will tell you, this school is well organized and i have seen them put our children's safety as the number one concern during shows.

I say that because i see another post saying otherwise and i do not know where they get that from. But i feel its important to leave an honest review.

Jen and Peter are involved with every class at every school in one way or another all the time. The teachers are good with my 3 now 4 year old daughter. She is learning to dance, having fun and making friends. What more can you really ask for from a school?

For the parents; dance school is tough. Time commitments and money commitments are more than fair, we find them to be much more affordable for a family of 4 with one income, more so than other schools we looked at. It can be tough but we find it to be worth it for the experiences they provide for my kid. She loves her teachers. Loves to dance, practices moves and knows their names. The teachers are good, they do have a class to teach, and they work really hard to keep our little ones engaged in learning.

These guys are running a great program here.
