I joined BadAsh Athletics after being sedentary for years. What I found exceeded my expectations! The coaches are all conscious of any limitations, and create fun workouts that help with my functional fitness. Each workout is challenging yet not unattainable. The sense of community is what keeps me coming back, inspires me and leaves me looking forward to each session.

Ashley is the best. I have never felt comfortable in gyms and thought maybe they just weren’t for me (and everyone else was crazy for enjoying working out) but it turns out I just hadn’t found the right place yet. I started with 1-2-1 personal training with Ashley (worth every cent to build my confidence) and eventually joined the group classes, and have never looked back. If you feel lost in your gym and want to try something different please please give Bad Ash Athletics a go. Highly recommend if you’re looking for personal training, or just a welcoming gym in Bonney Lake…. This it it ❤️

I have worked out with Ashley since August 2022. She is compassionate, caring and knowledgeable about exercising and how your body should respond to your workouts routine. She is very adaptable if you have any ailments and takes those into consideration when developing a personal routine for you. She will keep you accountable.

Ashley is very flexible.. she understands that sometimes life happens whether you are exhausted from lack of sleep or something stands in the way of your gym time, she has ALWAYS helped me to figure out how I can include my gym time to keep me accountable.

Ashley is very nice, and the gym has a great atmosphere — it’s always fun when her dogs come to visit. The workouts were fine, but I have a back injury that sometimes limited what I could do and occasionally required me to cancel. I ultimately decided to cancel the rest of my package, which left me with one unused training session. Unfortunately, I was given a short window to use it, and due to my medical issue, I couldn’t schedule in time.

I requested a refund for that final session, but Ashley declined, citing her policy. While I understand policies exist for a reason, I was disappointed by the lack of flexibility and compassion, especially since she’s mentioned having similar injuries herself. It felt like the $85 meant more than maintaining a good client relationship — especially considering I would have continued with over $3,700 in future sessions. Sadly, this experience lost her a long-term client, and I won’t be returning.

I have been working out for the past 20 years, cross fit, chain gyms, YMCA, etc... Day one at this gym I found my community. Great strength training program, coaches who listen and help you achieve your fitness goal. Awesome people who truly want you to succeed. Highly recommend!

Building Strength and Community at BadAsh Athletics
I’ve been a member of BadAsh Athletics since July 2023, and I can honestly say it has completely transformed my approach to fitness. Before joining, I had tried big gyms, CrossFit “boxes,” and even working out at home, but I never seemed to stay consistent. What sets BadAsh apart is the community Ashley has created. It’s not just a gym—it’s a place where you feel like you belong, and that’s something I’ve never experienced anywhere else.
Ashley’s approach to strength training and cardio/circuit workouts has helped me become so much stronger, both physically and mentally. What I love most is how Ashley takes the time to modify exercises based on individual needs, whether it’s due to an injury, energy levels, or even your mood that day. It’s so refreshing to be in a space where my “whole person” health is prioritized, and I feel empowered to push myself in a way that works for my body.
I genuinely look forward to my workouts every week, and I’ve never felt more motivated or supported. And I can’t forget to mention Chewy, the ultimate workout buddy and security guard! Whether he’s cheering us on or keeping watch, his presence always adds a bit of extra joy to the atmosphere.

Ashley has been wonderful. I had surgery a few months ago and had lost a lot of muscle mass during my recovery. I knew I needed to build my strength back up but I wasn't sure the best way. I met with Ashley and immediately felt comfortable. I loved the small group idea as large groups can be intimidating. I was nervous about fitting into this group, but i have felt nothingbutwelcomed. . Even though it's a group exercise, Ashley takes the time to be sure each exercise is modified to the individuals needs. This has been a great experience and would recommend this gym to anyone who is looking for a very welcoming place to work out.

BadAsh was an unexpected find but an excellent one! The workouts allow you to increase the intensity or Ashley is able to provide modifications if necessary. I always feel welcomed in this space and never judged. The mobility classes are an added bonus.

When I started working with Ashley, I was extremely out of shape—she was very considerate of this when I started and continues to be thoughtful of her recommendations and instructions months into my journey. There aren’t enough good things to say about this gym! I have joined gyms in the past and always ended up injuring myself as I got back into the swing of things. I became increasingly frustrated with myself, age, body, etc, with each injury I had.

I have been at BadAsh for roughly 2 months now and have had zero problems with previous injuries. Ashley is extremely knowledgeable, attentive, and adapts to every different body that walks in. She does a great job of making everyone feel welcome. She truly is an amazing person!

I am so happy that I found this gem of a gym. It is a small company that I love to support!

Excited and motivated to work out consistently for the first time in my life! Working with Ashley has been an absolutely pleasure. She cares about her clients and will tailor a workout with modifications to meet your specific needs if you’re injured or something is feeling uncomfortable. She’s knowledgeable and communicative about what muscles each exercise is working. She’s kind, and very accommodating. I work with Ashley in a small group strength training class and for my nutritional counseling needs and I see and feel the progress in my body. After working out with Ashley I feel strong and empowered.

Ashley has been great for me and my workout goals! She is knowledgeable and really cares about your goals. She takes the time to listen and understand what it is you want and need, and then helps you meet those goals. She also makes sure that you form is on point! The in-home and in studio options are also great, sometimes making it to the studio just isn't possible.

We have worked with Ashley for a few months now and she is the best trainer we have ever had! My wife and I are on different fitness/health paths but she takes the time to build plans for each of our specific needs. We love the way Ashley offers form corrections in the moment and pushes us to do our best. She also is very flexible and understands when life gets in the way and there are other priorities. We will always use her for our personal training needs!
