Caveat emptor: Just be aware that any refunds will not be awarded. The instructors are great, but the owner.... Prior to shutting down the Renton facility, instructors said that any remaining classes would be comp-ed. Weeks after closing, I tried contacting the owner through her studios without any response, so had to seek her out. Finally she basically stated, oh just spend an hour on the road getting to my studio in Kent. Really? And she only owes me like $90. Mad about this till this day.

Since I can't respond to the "owner's" response, I'll do it here. Angela Papini who was listed as an owner of the Renton facility according to the Washington State Dept. of Licensing, and who is listed also listed as an owner of the Kent facility told me to use my remaining credits to go to the Kent facility even though it's somehow a "different business?" So, again, anyone coming here cavaet emptor unless Angela wants to reimburse me. It was for only 6 classes about $90, but.... whatever....

I’m impressed with Linda and the way she teaches! She’s a machine and I want to be like her! #fitnessgoals. I’ll be signing up for a membership and bringing my friends and boyfriend in for classes with Linda.

I recently tried this hot yoga studio and attended Linda Collies Hot Pilates class. While I understand everyone has different preferences, I found the class lacked a supportive and encouraging atmosphere.

The class was half Pilates and half Vinyasa, but the teaching style didn’t create space for improvement. Linda made comments like, “I don’t know what you have going on,” and called out participants without offering constructive feedback. For example, she told someone, “You need to fix your form” demonstrated how they could be flailing, and told the entire class, “No one has a stronger core than me.” Statements like these didn’t feel welcoming or motivating.

Reply to the Studios Comment below:

Thank you for your response and for offering a complimentary class. I truly appreciate that gesture. I also value your commitment to fostering balance and community within your studio, which are vital aspects of yoga.

I want to clarify that my feedback was not meant to diminish the studio or its values. It wasn’t about the pace of the class, or the yin/yang balance. My concern was that Linda’s teaching style didn’t align with the supportive environment and mindfulness that your studio emphasizes. Comments like “I don’t know what you have going on,” and calling out students without offering constructive feedback created an atmosphere that didn’t feel welcoming or aligned with the community-focused approach you promote.

I believe that active classes can absolutely maintain a supportive and encouraging environment, which is what I was hoping for. Instructors play an important role in shaping this environment, and their approach should reflect the mindfulness and community values central to your studio’s mission. My feedback is intended as a constructive suggestion on how these values can be better embodied across all classes, regardless of pace or intensity.

Amazing experience! Will definitely be back ASAP. Piper was an excellent instructor and even mixed in some new poses and practices to the vinyasa class. Best yoga studio in the Kent/Seattle area!

I am new to yoga, I began my yoga practice when Balance opened and I am beyond grateful that I did. I absolutely love the community that is being created and I love being a part of it. I’m impressed by my ability to sweet! I’m loving the experience. Balance hot yoga is a wonderful inclusive place to learn the practice of yoga or to continue on in your practice if you are not new. I 100% recommended Balance Hot Yoga!

I get excited everyday to come to class here. The community is genuine and kind and the feeling i get in the space brings peace and a sense of wellness. The teachers are super dope people, knowledgeable and full of great character. I love the vibe and being able to try different classes outside of the Hatha and Vinyasa that i am used to. Balance offers Yin, Kundalini, Ashtanga, Barre, Sculpt, HIIT classes and Kids Yoga as well as wonderful sound baths and different work shops you can attend. Thank you to everyone who is a part of this community. May God’s presence continue to fill the space. Thank you Angela and Piper for your choice to hold space for all of these new members. We support, love and appreciate you. 🙏🏾 Namaste

I'm so excited about this new studio opening in Kent! While I've only been able to attend two classes so far (Hatha and Yin), both were incredible. Wonderful owners and teachers that are passionate about this community and the practice.

My wife opted in for their pre opening sale before the start of last summer. Opening has been pushed back several times with no notification to us at all we have to dig and email waiting for responses for any sort of update. Last communication we asked for a refund and was told opening was scheduled for September now. So she held off. Well it's mid October and my wife has emailed on Oct 10 again asking for an update/refund and she is being ghosted.

Edit 12/11/2023 - My wife works in a hospital and is hard to communicate with during business hrs. After a couple weeks of phone tag we finally were able to get the matter resolved. The two ladies running the studio are extremely nice and extremely understanding of our frustration. My wife would like to give the studio a try and will update the review accordingly afterwords.

Balance is a magical place. Reason I know is because I am very close with the owners from other studios. The owners are nothing but people that truly want to serve the higher good. They are willing to risk all they have to build places for community to come together, heal and grow. I am a teacher myself, I have been trained by the owners as well and could not be more grateful for this space being open to the public for more lives to be touched and transformed. May balance be your home. May yoga bring you home. As it will be and has been for me and many others ❤️🙏
