Great intro package, Love the routines and workouts. Lots of work in a small amount of time. People are genuine, helpful and attentive. Equipment and environment are clean and well kept. Coaches are helpful, encouraging and keep you motivated. I think a bit more on correcting form would help me.

I used to think Gyms are boring, but Basecamp changed my mindset. It's such a fun environment and a great workout place for all levels of participants. Ive visited Basecamp a few times with a friend. She’s a member and strongly encouraged me to check it out. I was hesitant because I used to dread working out—gyms felt intimidating, and I didn’t know what to do once I even got there! Base Camp has completely changed that! The welcoming atmosphere lets you progress at your own pace while encouraging you to push yourself when ready.
Nick, one of the trainers, is fantastic and has taught me so much about lifting and overall health. I wholeheartedly recommend Base Camp to everyone—no matter your fitness level or background. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned gym-goer, this place is seriously the perfect fit for all.

I lost my job and had to cancel. I had purposely not signed a year long contract and instead opted for the bi weekly option so I'd have flexibility. Turns out, this was also a contract and I'm being threatened with collections if I don't pay for time when I haven't been in the gym. Read the fine print!
Also - I don't recommend this place if you appreciate sanitation. The shared equipment get VERY sweaty! There are also sweat puddles all over the floor during class. It's gross. And no, it's not wiped between use. You will have to lay in somebody else's sweat puddle at some point during class.

Best workout ever, but it’s more than the workout—the camaraderie and support is unparalleled. They offer friendly competitive challenges to push your limits. With the coaches’ guidance, I’ve lost almost 25 pounds in 2 months. Perhaps that sounds like too much, but it has been easy to keep tabs on how much of that is fat loss and how much muscle gain with their high-end body composition scale, and I feel balanced in my transformation. So grateful to have finally found my fitness community!

First time trying Basecamp and had a great experience - I took Nick’s Tuesday morning class (RIP my legs), and it was a phenomenal workout for muscle building. I’ve neverrrrrr liked classes like F45, OTC, etc. but this class was such a vibe! The music & lighting really made the class, and the clear and helpful instruction from the instructor (as well as the front desk). Happy there is a workout class like this finally in Bellingham. Excited to come back!

Sean’s Core/Cardio class was killer! He had us doing burpees between each exercise and I definitely got in an amazing core workout with cardio thrown in! I was visiting family from out of town and looking for a place where I could get a good HIIT workout. Basecamp far exceeded my expectations.The class format was great - never a chance to loose focus. There were plenty of options for all abilities. Nick was an incredible instructor - So focused on each class member and supportive without being too pushy! The only downside to it is that there isn’t one near me in CT. I’ll either have to open a franchise or just move to Bellingham! Thank you basecamp fitness!

This place is a really dope place. I am a big fan of how short the workouts are and how efficient they are. I'm used to an hour of hitt and these 35 min with 10 minutes of core at the end is perfect with my schedule. Lighting makes me feel bad ass and love all the coaches here. Great coaching-I’ve always been nervous about this style of class but it’s very focused and not rep heavy, just competition between yourself and your strength gains. This review has been long and coming as I've been a Basecamp member since they opened in Bellingham 9 months ago. Returning to a workout routine after a 3 year hiatus following a move and the birth of my son felt like a feat of nature. I needed somewhere I could slowly build another workout routine, improve my form, and ideally build community while doing so. (Cheesy gush alert) I've found all of these things at Basecamp! I've been most impressed with the instructors who are a perfect balance of pushing you to do more, helping improve your form to avoid injuries, and providing alternative options if you have an injury or are building up to full strength. I LOVE this place! The workouts are amazing and the community is even better. The staff and the other "basecampers" are so welcoming and inclusive.
My girlfriends and I go at least a few times a week together and a few times a week on our own. The coaches are always commenting when one of us is missing from our little trio and enquiring where we are. They also notice when one of us has an ailment and make sure we are staying safe but still getting the most out of our workout.
I have been a fitness freak for years and have tried all kinds of group classes, as well as solo gym programs- Basecamp is by far my favorite. I look forward to working out every time and never get bored.

Friendly staff, the variety of exercises keep each session engaging. The instructors make sure everyone’s posture is good by providing tips to adjust or correct. I get a good heart rate up every time. :)

Dropped in for a class with my partner while we were visiting Bellingham and had a great workout! It’s a beautiful spot with showers, lockers, a well equipped studio space and plenty of parking. Loved the challenge of biking in between strength sets and also tailoring the strength based on your personal goals (heavy 5x5 or lighter higher reps within the time limit). Check in process was easy and the studio manager Sean was very attentive and explained everything to us for our first time. Highly recommend and will definitely stop by again for a sweat next time we are in town!

I love Basecamp. I found it through a friend and did the “1st workout free” without any expectations. Sean was there to greet me and give me a quick run through of the workout which is 50/50 cardio and strength. Sean helped me and my friend through the whole workout. I was hooked and bought an unlimited membership. Since then I’ve worked out consistently and have gotten to know Nick and a few other coaches. They’re all wonderful at pushing you to your limit without letting you flounder. By far, my favorite gym ever with some of the best staff in Bellingham.

I am the physical therapist and owner of Praxis PT next door to Basecamp Fitness. I work out here about 2-3 times a week to fit my busy schedule.
The program consists of Short, concise and efficient workout for those who want to hit aerobic zone really quickly. They’re split through the week: upper/lower/full body so you will likely hit a different region daily. When you’re a beginner, just go on your own pace, choose a lighter weight than you would a regular gym workout, and go slower if you have to. It takes some time to build up an efficient cardiovascular endurance if you’ve never done a workout like this before.
For those who workout /lift regularly in a traditional gym, adding this HIIT workout for 35 minutes is a great complement. The coaches are great at modifying and regressing the workout if you feel like it’s too heavy for you or the position is awkward or uncomfortable. There is an option to try a free workout to see if it’s right for you or not. Check them out!

Holy cow - this is a very nice facility with private shower rooms that feel like they belong in a luxury hotel. I hate not having a shower before getting back in my car. And….
This was my first time I have ever tried this kind of workout and it was exactly what I needed. It is fun, motivating, and a high energy group workout where I didn’t feel pressured to socialize - even though everyone was super nice. I also had control over how hard to push myself. I felt like a different person walking out than I did walking in.

Basecamp Fitness is a game-changer! I started in December 2023, when I went to their 'pop-up' classes, and now I'm approaching 60 classes, and have loved every single workout. This program is probably the longest I've ever consistently stuck with a fitness program. I love the upbeat/EDM music - it really gets me going, the coaches are so helpful (I have terrible form and they're right there correcting me & pushing me to go harder!), and the workouts are very engaging and effective! They celebrate your milestones & love to cheer you on as you reach your fitness goals!

After moving back to Bellingham I was looking for a gym that had classes that were as good as my old gym. I tried several trial memberships, but could not find anything that I really liked. I happened to stumble across Basecamp during their pre-opening and signed up. The Classes have exceeded all my expectations. Classes are 45 minute HIIT classes, and are about 45% Cardio, 45% Strength and 10% core. The studio is very clean and everything is new.

This was the most ADHD accepting place I’ve ever been to! I didn’t have to remember reps or anything, clear big TV instructions of movements, 1 min / 90 seconds or 45 seconds on each thing so i was never ever bored, just so much fun !!!! Awesome lights, dark room w LED lights and pop music, fun coach w a mic encouraging everyone , happy and supportive env and def not upsetting to anyone who doesn’t know what they are doing !!! Highly recommend!

Beyond happy I joined Basecamp Fitness! This is exactly the type of workouts & community I’ve been looking for since moving to Bellingham 2 years ago. I love the instructors, shout-out to Courtney, Bre and Katie! The energy is high & members are super friendly. I especially love that they give back to the community on claim your mile days & plan member mixers to get us together outside the gym. I’ve become so much stronger and seeing the difference in the weights I’m choosing since when I first started. My friend and I started workouts here almost a month ago and we love it!! Everyone has been super friendly and welcoming. A very supportive space for all levels of fitness. It's a great workout that is challenging but fun. The coaches we've had are awesome, especially Courtney she is so bubbly and friendly making it a lot easier to enjoy a challenging workout :) I'm excited to make this apart of my weekly routine!

Unfortunately, no matter how good the workout is, this gym is mis-managed. The ‘grind’ culture is more important than supporting the livelihood of their employees. I cannot in good faith recommend this business to the Bellingham community. Go support a local gym and not a profit focused franchise.

Anthony, I noticed in your response you took lots of energy to explain how charitable you are, but nothing regarding the whole point of my review: how you respect your employees. But I’m sure the community loves a classic PR ‘do good’ laundry list.
Side note, I attended 2 Basecamp workouts on your opening day, (less than 2 months ago…) 1/16/24, and I honestly had a great time. Nice try though, I stand by my original review & hope fellow Googlers will find it insightful. Definitely won’t be back 🤘

Having been a CrossFit fanatic for over 7 years and a firefighter for the past 27, I’m no stranger to exercise and keeping fit. Basecamp Fitness in Bellingham is a great place to workout with great people. The gym is very clean. All of the staff are friendly and welcoming. They make it so simple all I have to do is show and one of their awesome coaches guides everyone through the entire workout. I highly recommend Basecamp Fitness to everyone of all ages, shapes and sizes.

Basecamp is a great addition to the Bellingham fitness scene! You get 35 minutes of alternating between biking (cardio) and floor (strength) work with an intentional focus, followed by a 10 minute core and stretching cooldown. The workout is accessible to both beginner and advanced students with a screen to show you exactly what movements to perform on the floor (it’s impossible to be lost). And you rarely do the same exercise twice! Think hand position variations and different equipment to challenge muscle in new ways. Instructors are always helping with form and modifications.
I’ve never been a big fan of biking but I’m already seeing and feeling so many positive benefits of the arm bike in my first few weeks at Basecamp. Whereas floor work can feel asymmetrical (lunges, etc), getting on the bike allows me to push both legs evenly, switch to arms only or legs only, control my posture and core, and it’s a great place to speed up, slow down, or drink water. The instructors will help pace and push at intervals too.
Other pros:
-Energetic environment with good lighting and clean equipment
-Time and rep countdown to know where you are in your workout (time flies so quickly!)
-Water filling station
-Showers!
-Lockers
-Black mat flooring in studio (goodbye astroturf, hello proprioceptive challenge!)
-Fun community atmosphere
-An informative app that allows you to track your heart rate and caloric burn
-Newsletter lets you know class styles and what to expect ahead of time
-Central location
Cons:
-Schedule: Inconsistent times with no afternoon classes on Friday, Saturday or Sunday. No 12pms even though the format is great for a lunch break.

I’ve tried several different HIIT classes over the years and this is by far the best, most efficient style of HIIT workout class I’ve taken. The studio itself is really nice, with high quality workout equipment and screens that demonstrate the moves so you can easily follow throughout the class. The workout flew by in the best way, loved the combo of upper and lower body strength with cardio on the bikes and all of the trainers I've taken classes from so far are super friendly and energizing. I was surprised to see how many calories I burned in a short time period with this workout! Excited to have a gym like this in Bellingham!

I’ve been a member of plenty of other gyms, and also had personal trainers - this is the perfect blend of the two! I joined back in December as a founding member and have been very impressed with the format of the programs, the guidance from the instructors, and the facility and equipment.
