Kristina is a top notch personal trainer that stands out from other trainers I've tried working with. I always have a lot of fun and learn a lot when I work out with her. Every session I have with Kristina has me feeling energized afterward and boosts my mood. I've already gained a lot of strength around previously injured joints, which has provided a lot of relief and improved my quality of life, after just couple of months of working out with Kristina twice a week! It's also worth mentioning that my posture has improved and I'm seeing changes in the way I look that have me feeling like my old self again :) Here are some specific skills that make Kristina stand out to me:
*Exceptional feedback* Kristina carefully observes me when I'm learning the form and building up strength for movements. I'm not sure how she can see some of the things she gives me feedback about lol, but she always ensures that my form is correct and I'm drawing strength from the correct body part as well as the correct specific muscles. Kristina is also very clever at providing metaphors to help me understand how to get my brain to consciously use muscles that I haven't yet built up ab awareness of. I can feel that I do a lot more work during my sessions with Kristina compared to other trainers because her clear, direct and concise feedback helps me just kind of get what she's asking of me after a couple tries. For context, I've always noticed that verbal instructions can be more challenging for me. It was an a-ha moment for me when I realized the way Kristina explains things clicks for me. That streamlined communication allows me to get more out my sessions.
* Directly supports clients execution of movements* Kristina is always respectful and checks in with me during our workouts. Since I'm comfortable with it, Kristina also helps me pick up new movements by pointing to the the muscle I should be using, bracing me from compensating with dominant muscle groups so I'm able to learn to channel the muscles that need the most strengthening or just providing support when I'm still building up strength for a movement. It reminds me of the ballet instructors I progressed the fastest with when I was young. Also, like every good coach, Kristina knows when to let go.
*No workout hangovers* I always feel like I've pushed myself after every session, but don't get day after soreness like I would with other dance/fitness classes I've previously tried. All I feel is results :)
* Good motivator* It's always encouraging when Kristina acknowledges my improvement and keeps our workouts fun by letting me take a crack at more advanced movements. It's really surprising some of movement I've been able to start pulling off with her help. I feel motivated to keep up the good work when Kristina demos ways I can eventually extend on what I'm learning.
I initially began looking into sessions with Kristina to build up enough strength to go back to dance classes, but I'm having such a good time and feeling so much better that I plan to stick with my sessions with Kristina!

Dear Kristina,
Thank you so much for everything you have done for my mom and I. When I first research palates instructors I was looking for someone to assist my mother in gaining core strength, to a recent fall and many years of body pain from working tirledlessle as a sales associate at Macy's. For me I was looking for the ability to actually use my abs. I have done yoga for 15 years. Became a yoga instructor to improve my form and still never had core strength. What my mom and I got from you was much more than an instructor. Kristina you have singlehandley changed my mom and my life by transforming ever part of our body. You fixed our posture, opened our hearts including throat chacra, realined our hips and spine, taught us how to walk appropriately, tone our butt and legs, on top of giving us the ability to use our abs instead of other parts of our body. Kristina you have made my mom and I aware of how each body part connects and what you need to do to maxmize your proformance. Kristina you have transformed my mom's and my life by making us aware of what we have to do to help our body's especially by walking correctly and the importance of pilates. Kristina every time my mom and I leave our private sessions and we call each other to talk about what we did and learned we are so happy and feel our inner sole shining. Kristina you have a gift that is matched by no one I have ever come across. Your ability to transform any issue from the core muscles to making space in the mind is magnificent. As a marriage counselor I truly have to say I you do more than transform the body you realine the whole individual and push to work on the weekest spots to grow taller. Kristina my mom and I are so thank full for you knowledge and exceptional personality. Kristina you are one of a kind.

I have been going to Kristina for a couple of months and can really tell the increase in my strength and flexibility. It has also helped with my back pain. Kristina always makes the workouts fun and individualizes the workout for you. I had never done Pilates before and have found it a great experience. I highly recommend it.

I have done Pilates for years, and was recently looking for a new Pilates home. I feel so lucky to have found Kristina. She has a terrific understanding of how to effect the change I am hoping to achieve. In just a few months, she has helped me find strength and flexibility to do exercises I had never been able to do before. I love working with her. She is patient, non-judgmental, and understanding, all while challenging me in all the right ways. I look forward to working with her for a long time to come!

Me and my girlfriend took some classes with Kristina and greatly enjoyed the experience. Although, we had different levels of training Kristina was able to pay attention and direct each of us individually.After her lessons we felt energetic and relaxed and definitely recommend to visit her classes.

Kristina is absolutely in the right profession. She is detailed, intuitive, and brings the same level of passion to each session. She customizes each workout depending on where I have tension, injury, or soreness and always checks in throughout the workout. i have been going to kristina for about nine months. in the beginning it was sporadically as working a session into my schedule was difficult. so, there were often weeks between sessions.
a bit about me, i am 52, and really never took fitness seriously. something changed after i turned 51, and that’s when i emailed kristina about taking my first ever pilates class. actually, i emailed several yoga and pilates studios - kristina was the only one to email me back.
it has been in the last several months that i have made a concerted effort to take at least one class a week with kristina, two if i can.
and it has made a world of difference.
i appreciate real-world applications for everything. so, here are several real outcomes from my time with kristina:
1. taking my bra off is easier. really! yes, i take my bra off everyday, but i honestly didn’t realize how stiff and inflexible i was - until i wasn’t (thanks to kristina). i just got used to that little twinge of pain reaching behind my back to unhook my bra. and now it’s gone. you can laugh all you want about this “simple” task, but it’s the truth.
2. running bags of groceries from my garage up a flight and a half of stairs is easier. no breathing hard. no hurty knees. no, so many trips i start to get mail delivered to my garage. again, real world benefits thanks to kristina.
3. i feel like my body has been awakened. recently took a short vacation. probably walked 15 miles in total, some while in platform sandals, in 31 degree warmer weather. and i did it with minimal whining (come on, i was in heels).
ETA: omigoodness!! i have a butt! my husband noticed it first. hey, he said, your butt is looking more defined. you guys i’m an Asian woman with your standard flat bottom. after 52 years, year of that with kristina- SHE HAS FOUND MY BEHIND!!

Come to class prepared to laugh, learn, and gain tremendous confidence. First of all, Kristina has a gorgeous figure with strength and focus that astounds me. She doesn't care what your size is, expertise level or limitations are. She is amazing. She knows what she is doing, and works with you individually to achieve the most flexibility, endurance, and strength she can from your body. I might whimper sometimes as she releases pain and afterwards hug her for making me feel better, stronger and more in control. I've been going to Kristina off and on for about a year and she has been patient as I've battled sickness, long working hours and an erratic schedule. But I will say she is 200% worth the effort and time you spend with her and you'll love the changes to your body and outlook!

This is my first time writing a review about Pilates. There is a perception that Pilates are mainly for women exercises, apparently German professional boxer Joseph Pilates who created these exercises for people who were bed-bound after World War I outbreak, these patients can start toning their muscles even while they were on beds using springs attached to beds.
Regarding my experience, I do practice Yoga almost 4 days a week and run 4-5 miles per week, but I started developing lower back pain because of disc bulge due to sitting in front of computer longer periods. I tried all possibilities to get rid of back pain which includes all types of pain killers and medical treatments, physical therapy. From all these experiences, I figured it out that the core muscles that are associated to lower back pain are Extensor, Flexor and Oblique Muscles which are very week for me even though I do Yoga and run. Based on my research I found a way that Pilates are best way to strengthen these core muscles. To practice Pilates, you HAVE TO take private sessions(or introductory sessions) in way that you would do right without harming yourself using reformers. You should know how to use these reformer machines equipped with springs. I googled the best Pilates instructor near Seattle area. I found Bodies By Kristina online. She is a true professional and very knowledgeable about entire body muscle. Kristina guided me from day one to strengthen my core lower back muscles. After two months, I started noticing reducing the lower back pain without a single medication and now I stand straight and sit straight, I feel taller & confident. Disc bulge pain is gone. I really thank Kristina for your wonderful knowledge and experience which really helped me personally.

I cannot say enough great things about Kristina! I was new to Pilates when I first started seeing her, and she was patient with my lack of coordination but still pushed me to be better every time. She's very exacting and notices any asymmetry or unevenness - this was one of my primary reasons for starting Pilates. I sit at a desk all day, then ride dressage, where I expect my horse to be equally strong on both sides - I should have the same expectations for myself! I think I'm getting there!

Kristina is a fun and fantastic teacher. She cares deeply about her students' progress, has an eagle eye for whether you are in proper alignment, and works hard to help her students improve their practice of Pilates and their bodies in the process. I was in bad physical condition before starting to train with Kristina. I could not stand up or sit in a chair with a straight back. In 3 months, I have regained my height and good posture and everything is lifted. I look a and feel so much better. Kristina is hands down the best Pilates teacher I have ever had. I could not have improved this much without her expert help. LOVE Kristina!

I am so glad I found Kristina. She strengthened my back and neck to the point that I can actually sleep at night. Also my dream was to be able to do splits and even though it is work in progress, I am getting closer to it every time I work out with Kristina. She listens and focuses on my alignment like no trainer I worked out with before. She is great with hands on and a combination of rounding, lifting and twisting my spine makes it possible for me to deal with scoliosis and stay happy and active.

Kristina is an artist. She took my out of shape body and helped sculpt it to a sleeker, toned, muscular version of myself. Like Michelangelo, she sees the core and has the vision of the shape to come. She carefully studies each of my movements, ensuring I will not injure myself. I had a problem with my left hip when I came to her. Through exercise, my pain no longer exists. I now have stomach muscles! I stand taller, walk taller and straighter, and am regaining a feeling of youth I haven't had since my 20's. Kristina listens to me. She watches each movement. Kristina is an artist and will sculpt your out of shape body into a new form. And, if you're already in shape and looking to improve your pilates skills, here is the woman to go to. She walks her walk.

I've been working with Kristina now for almost a year and my experience has been nothing short of tremendous. I'd done Pilates before for 2 1/2 years, at a different location, and the results that I've seen with Kristina greatly surpass my previous experience in a much shorter period of time. Kristina is knowledgeable, patient and is very good at understanding exactly what your body needs on any given day. My flexibility has increased, my core is stronger, my body is "longer" and most importantly I feel great! No more lower back pain and I stand much straighter than I ever have. If you are even remotely curious about Pilates or you aren't getting the results that you expected, elsewhere, I would highly recommend that you give Kristina a call. I have done all types of workouts 1-1 and in group settings over the years but until I found Kristina I had never really seen a huge difference in my body as a result. Kristina is so professional but yet personal at the same time. She pushes you and also listens to you in order to prevent potential injuries. There is consistency throughout her work outs and yet plenty of variety so you are constantly growing.
I have been doing pilates with Kristina for about 6 months and I have gained muscle definition and have lost 15lbs. I have also never been able to come close to touching my toes without pain and now I can touch my toes- something I never thought I would be able to do. I have seen more positive results in the short time I have been working with Kristina than any other form of exercise. I highly recommend her and look forward to many years of pilates with her!

Kristina is a great instructor! I have been taking her classes and we have been working on my posture and my back and I defiantly see a result. But what makes me feel even better, is when other people noticed that I look taller because I stand straight. She will make you you sweat but it's all worth it.I love pilates and if you have an awesome instructor like Kristina you will see how your body will change and you feel amazing about yourself.
