About the Club

Previously known as Oly-Pen Sports / Olympic Sports Center, Bremerton Sports Center is a family-friendly indoor sports facility offering an electric and community focused sports oriented atmosphere. We hold regularly scheduled indoor soccer leagues throughout the week for youth and adults and youth soccer training programs. We are the home of the semi-pro men's and women's soccer club teams, the Oly-Pen Force. We also do party rentals, drop-in sports, and other events requiring large enclosed spaces.

I have played organized sports for decades, but I have never witnessed an environment as fundamentally dangerous and poorly managed as this one. Calling this place a "soccer arena" is an insult to the sport; it's a glorified fight club masquerading as a community league.
The core issue here is the management's abysmal failure to enforce basic rules, starting with the referees. They are, quite simply, non-existent. Blatant, career-ending fouls—cynical trips, tackles from behind—are ignored consistently. This isn't just poor officiating; it's a calculated decision to let the game devolve.

The inevitable result is chaos. Since the rules are not enforced by the officials, players quickly adopt a "revenge" mentality. Fouls are met with immediate, aggressive retaliation, not competitive play. This rapidly escalates past typical minor shoving into full-blown, violent brawls. I have seen multiple fights break out, the recent Halloween tournament being the worst, where two people were grabbed by the throats, a person punched in the face. Zero red cards were given during the match, if referees set a standard of zero tolerance early on then it would not escalate to this level. They have not changed their standards since this event. As I’ve seen what would be considered “assault” every single week since then. And once again zero red cards have been given. Or even blue for that matter.

I came here to play soccer and have fun, but I spend the entire time watching my back and worrying about getting blindsided. The arena is hosting unsafe, violent events. Until they hire competent, authoritative referees and implement a zero-tolerance policy for violence, this arena remains a hazard to everyone who steps onto the turf.

This is an amazing clean facility filled with amazingly friendly, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable staff. They made a difference in my family's life with only one visit to a drop in free soccer class. They respond promptly to all my inquiries and concerns. They are making a difference in their community, and thank you to the individuals who work or volunteer at Bremerton Indoor Sports Center, just doing what they love and sharing that with others. Love, love, love this place!

This happened a while back but it’s something that still bothers me and I feel like needs to be said about the soccer center.
Though there is new management, there is still a lack of concern for player safety by the referee. Specifically the new ref. There has been many games that there were fouls that should’ve been called but weren’t. There was a specific incident that happened while I played there. I was playing on the men’s league with my husband and I got the ball smashed to my forehead by a player only 2-3 feet away from me. Yes, that was not a foul but that is a concussion concern! What should have been done was the ref that was the newer guy (I can’t remember his name) was stop play to check that I (or any player that gets the ball slammed to their head) is okay and that there isnt a possibility of a concussion. It’s quite literally in the handbook for refs. That play needs to stop and player has to go through a concussion protocol. That applies for indoor and outdoor. That was not done by the ref. I walked off the field the rest of the game and had a massive headache the rest of the day. When my husband confronted the ref about the concern, he told my husband that “if she wants to play with the men, she has to act like one”. Concussions happen to both genders…….
The concussion protocol applies to both men and women players…
That ref has absolute no regard for player safety. I have heard this from many other people there too who have experienced the same issues with the ref.
That was a place I loved going to play or watch my husband play (who has played there since he was in his teens), I even grew up being there when my mom would play and my dad worked there many years ago. Now, I don’t even feel safe playing there and my husband has said the exact same thing.
There is no regard for player safety which should be the number one priority.

Giving one star because it doesn’t allow me to give zero. First, I’m basing my review based off of how this center has decided to manage and orchestrate the first session of youth soccer. At every age it is unorganized, with poor judgement and refs who make up their own rules as they go. The center promised parents and players that select teams would NOT be playing their age level rec teams. I have actual proof of where they said the select teams would be playing up 2 years. Lo and behold the center did not stay true to their word and is allowing select teams to destroy rec teams. To top it off, they pick and choose which select teams actually have to play up. They have all boy teams absolutely destroying all girl teams and physically harming these girls. I even heard a coach say ‘the center can’t blame us when we get handsy’. Which is absolutely disgusting. The center ignored every concern presented to them, and chose to prioritize profit instead of insuring potential customers and players for their center. They wanted to have all select teams playing this session, but didn’t want to say that. Which resulted in rec teams loosing their spirit over and over again. Additionally, this isn’t the centers fault, but more so their customers and teams. When allowing select teams to play against rec teams, you also allow this sense of arrogance and down right rudeness to be subjected onto these kids. Kids who are loosing 20 to 2 and being mocked and laughed at and bullied. The coach does nothing, but allows them to keep running up the score and the parents do nothing but ignore it. It’s absolutely disgusting. If you have a kid who wants to play soccer, but isn’t select level yet, or a kid who is just starting, this is NOT the place to bring them. Save yourself the money (which is NOT cheap) and take them to a place that actually cares.

I've been playing here since 2011 and it's not only a great place for soccer, they also do birthday party rentals, fitness classes and yoga to name a few. The owners and staff are great people who care about their community and facility. I have never once felt discriminated against by any staff members, nor have I ever witnessed anything like that. They are always kind and respectful. The bad reviews are because someone couldn't follow a simple rule and not spit on the field even after being warned.

For soccer there are different adult leagues so you can play to your skill level. They just installed new turf on one of the fields as well as other updates throughout the center. The bathrooms are always clean and the snack bar is a nice bonus after a long soccer game. It's a locally owned business that provides the perfect place to play no matter what the weather is outside. Come check it out!

After 7 years of playing here I have watched the ownership group change 3 times and the current owners are doing an amazing job refurbishing the facilities and improving the environment that we have to play soccer. New fields, walkways, and concessions are a few of the badly needed improvements and I look forward to what they do next. Both owners are avid players and love the game as much as they love running the business. It is a great place to play soccer at every level.

Sadly can’t give zero stars. This place has so much promise but the staff lack anything resembling business acumen. The facility is dirty every time we come and the bathrooms are downright disgusting. Our area desperately needs places where kids and adults can play and connect. This isn’t one we’ll be giving our money to. Such a shame.

In Washington there’s nothing better than indoor soccer! My kid plays and I love it! When weather permits, outdoor is great, but when it’s cold and raining, I’d rather be indoor. They have amazing chocolate milk… I don’t drink coffee but I’ve never heard any complaints, there’s also beer and wine… for the those that want it. Service is great and with a smile! I love this place! Wish there was another actually! There’s lots of kids that want to play, adults too… Kitsap could use a second location!

Owner brings her very very young toddler to the 18m-36month soccer class. My s/o walked out today bc our 2y9mo was shoved down and yelled at by said owner. Apparently our child had been playing with her unsupervised young young toddler when she went ‘ mama bear mode ‘ on our kid. Who in all rights was a paid participant that should have been in a safe space with age appropriate peers. My s/o couldn’t reach him in time and felt very out of sorts so they called it quit early. Very bizarre experience. No formal introductions made, no idea on expectations / functions or flow of class. Extremely dysfunctional. Normally we attend toddler events that are director / facilitator led ( making it much more successful for our kids, this class requires parents to hover) in this instance the owner ? Or just a woman who is very quiet , standoffish and hands off until it came to Intervening? Excessively. We paid for multiple classes .. maybe the next one will be more …. Enjoyable ?

Something to make note of : If you are new and or not in the ‘ regular circle ‘ of attendees/friends etc and you bring an issue to the table it will not be addressed appropriately.

This program provider should have been reprimanded for bringing her > 18mo infant to an active environment where she would not have proper time or ability to oversee her daughters safety.

The fact remains Abby brought her daughter into a busy environment where she then yelled at our child and proceeded to push him down while “ protecting “ her child from general play/ normal contact.

The owner calls it a ‘ fair ‘ investigation where they didn’t feel comfortable inviting us back to our paid for sessions. On what account ? This woman simply denying the abrasive interaction.

Our best guess. If you sign up today for Mondays next class you will see her child >18mo running around without proper supervision. And if your child happens to be near hers be prepared for yours to take the brunt end.

We had anticipated after the owner stalking my s/o on Facebook and messenger that his solution was simple a. To refund and suggest alternative instructor solutions or b. Make it clear that the >18mo child will not be on premises without a secondary adult there to supervise while the program director managed the group class. Instead he called her a liar and wished us well.

My daughter has played there a few seasons and the initial experience was great but this year the service is well below standards. I signed my daughter up in December (or so I thought). Was told I would hear around February didn't hear called and they had no record of me signing her up. Was reassured over the phone that they would add her to the wait list. Called back again on March and they again had no record of her. The person never put her on the waiting list again. Think I will find somewhere else to place her!
