British Swim School has been great! I'm doing the adult group swim lessons and I couldn't be happier. The class sizes are small, ensuring I get a lot of instruction. They work with you based on where you are at as a swimmer.

We love taking our 5-month old to swim class! Our neighbor raved about the program and we’d also recommend it to friends. The staff and instructors are highly engaged and prioritize safety. It’s been fun and adorable to see her in the water each week with new friends!

We started attending British Swim School last month, and I can already see my son learning many swimming skills. His confidence grows with each lesson! The instructors are very knowledgeable, especially when working with children, and they know how to support them in the water while building their trust. We also love their flexibility!

The "group lesson" is actually a string of 1:1 lessons. You child will sit on the edge of the pool while kids take turns. My son got 3 minutes of lesson for each week he did lessons. They don't do things in groups at all. This equates to about $400/hour and I can't imagine how many lessons it would take to make progress at 3 minutes a week.
Their membership and cancellation is also kind of sharky, considering the misrepresentation of what they're selling. We ended up paying $40 membership fee and 30 days notice is 4 lessons ($160), so $200 to cancel. In sum, almost $300 for those 6 minutes of lesson he received. AVOID.

We are really happy with the program. Being able to give our daughter this fun and safe experience as her first time being in the water is invaluable.

I appreciate the attention to water safety and not just simply learning how to swim (i.e. if one were to fall into a pool, what would you do...)

Teachers are great (especially the more experienced ones). Good at meeting my somewhat hesitant kid where he's at, pushing hard enough for progress but not so hard that he wants to quit. I appreciate the emphasis on safety. Limited changing room space is a logistical challenge but worth it.

British swim school is amazing. They start off with the survival basics and then go from there. We have classes with Savannah and she is top-notch as a swim instructor and as a person. Highly recommend.

We have 3 boys enrolled here (8,6,4) and they all started at the same time. Our oldest two have had lessons previously elsewhere but it was awful and very traumatic. They no longer wanted to be near the water. They recently started showing interest again so we went on the waiting list to get in. We finally got in and it's been great! They all 3 started in the same class. Since then one of them has moved up while the other 2 are still in the beginner class. My two in the beginner class are struggling a little. They started out so great and confident and then every week we showed up we had a new instructor. That has really messed with their progress which is frustrating as a parent. Especially when they had these skills down weeks ago and now it's like they are starting all over. Other than the constant change of instructors which has improved these last 2wks things have been great. Each instructor is knowledgeable and patient with the kids and doesn't push them. They go at the kids readiness which is reassuring for kids. All in all I would definitely recommend. The staff issue is everywhere so we are trying to roll with it, but it does get frustrating, but if you can get through that then definitely give them a chance. You will see huge improvements with your child and their confidence by the water

We have watched our kids (5, and 3) grow in confidence and skill in the water under the patient and playful coaching of the swim teachers. The boys hit rough spots and overcame their fears and uneasy feelings and are now floating on their own and swimming like fish. It’s not the cheapest swim program, but it is the best and a great fit for our family.

My kids get a lot of personal attention in the lessons. The instructors we’ve had have really shown they care about the kids and are patient with them. It’s a little pricey compared to the public pools, but it’s worth it because of the more individualized & personalized instruction that the kids get. My kids have really blossomed as swimmers here.
