Cappy’s is the best workout I’ve ever had! Between the classes, the coaches, and the fellow boxers, it’s a great overall experience! I highly recommend giving it a shot if you’ve been interested.

Cappy’s is consistently the best workout I’ve ever gotten and promotes a strong culture of community, support, and respect. I’d never boxed before so started with their first time boxer class 3 years ago and have been a regular at their non-contact classes ever since. Every class has folks of all abilities and the coaches skillfully work with you on the level you’re at. There’s no pressure to spar if that’s not your thing. I never expected to like boxing as much as I do and I think Cappy’s culture is why.

From the moment I stepped into this boxing gym, I knew I had found my second home. This place isn’t just about throwing punches, it’s my therapy. Every session helps me release stress and build both physical and mental strength.
The atmosphere is incredibly warm and welcoming. Every coach here goes above and beyond to ensure that you feel supported and motivated, whether you’re a beginner or an experienced boxer. They genuinely care about your progress and personal growth, providing guidance that’s both challenging and uplifting.
Equally impressive are the members of this gym. From day one, I felt like part of a community. Everyone encourages each other, cheering on successes and helping to lift spirits during tough days. It's inspiring to be surrounded by people who share a passion for fitness and personal development.
If you’re looking for a place to not only improve your boxing skills but also lift your spirits and connect with an amazing group of people, look no further. This gym is my sanctuary, and I’m grateful to be a part of such an encouraging environment!

I joined just looking for a good workout but found so much more. The coaches are approachable and knowledgeable, the gym is well maintained and has everything you could want. I also love the community minded approach and the ability to donate to the community fund to keep boxing available to everyone!

Still going strong after more than a decade. The community is fantastic, the coaching is great and the workout is killer!
I started training at Cappy’s because I was curious about boxing and interested in cross training for my primary competitive activity. I quickly found that it challenged me and provided benefits that I had not expected. Boxing teaches functional movement patterns and muscle organization skills that has improved my foundation for all of my other activities. Plus, it’s just a whole lot of fun.
Cappy’s is a great gym, with thoughtful coaches and and a welcoming community in which to challenge yourself, learn new skills, and get a solid workout.

Can’t say enough good things about cappys! This is the most wonderful, inclusive, supportive community I’ve found in Seattle. I started here never having boxed before and before I knew it I felt right at home. The coaches are awesome, there is tons of community outreach and organization, the classes are well structured, and you’ll really feel met at whatever level you’re at. Cappy’s is the best thing that’s happened to me since moving to this city.

Cappy's is the best! More than just a gym or a workout, this space is a fantastic community that has become one of my favorite places I've found since moving to Seattle.
The coaches here are kind, supportive, and create a fun environment where each person can work at the pace they feel most comfortable. Class is more than just a workout - I come away from each session feeling a little more in shape and knowing a little more about boxing. Every coach does a great job at encouraging you to work hard without ever coming off as intimidating. They make it very clear that everyone is welcome here, no matter their ability or experience with boxing and fitness. Classes are just plain fun, and there's plenty of opportunity for laughs throughout the session.
Beyond the people, the space itself is great. Everything is always very clean, equipment is in good condition, and there's tons of parking in the surrounding neighborhood. The online sign-up makes scheduling classes super easy, and the rates are very reasonable. The different kinds of membership options, from monthly memberships to punch cards, allows you to pick an option that works best for your schedule.
I can't speak highly of Cappy's enough, it's an amazing place to learn some boxing, get in shape, and meet some incredible people!

Wanted to like this place, Mike seems pretty cool and signed me up for a class but didn't mention anything about needing a COVID vaccination card. I came to check in a bit later an older coach asked me for a vaccination card, I didn't have one and instead of pivoting into the best way to go about getting negative covid tests so I can join the class she got dismissive and defensive on their gyms policy when I wasn't pressing her on it. Nothing on your website says classes require vaccination cards, should be something employees mention signing people up not when they come back to check in for the class.
Wish y'all the best of luck ✌️

I've been attending Cappy's for almost a year and I can honestly say they deserve every 5 star review on here. The fitness classes are challenging and each coach has a different routine, so the curriculum never feels stale. Cappy's is such a welcoming environment and the coaches actually want to help you LEARN TO BOX. They also care deeply about the community. To the person complaining about vaccines, it was always readily apparent to me that Cappy's cares about the health of their employees and patrons. Cappy's helped me build confidence, destress from work, and learn to box. Do yourself a favor and get a membership; they happen to have a free trial session and a bunch of other plans to fit your needs.

I've been going to Cappy's for a few months now for their box-fit classes, and love it. The class sizes are small, normally between 4 and 12 at 8.30am, so there's plenty of space and time on all of the gear. The classes are fun and challenging, and the coaches are amazing!

Local boxing gym in the central district. Numerous classes each day. Great, hands on coaches. Learn to box or improve your current skills. Music is also solid. Boxing here for 5+ years and they still keep it fresh.

Cappy's is very easy-going. The people there are very welcoming and friendly. The staff get to know you quickly. After the first class they knew my name and would remember details of how I boxed. It's cool to be seen and supported, especially when getting engaged in boxing, which can get really competitive. I brought my nephew in when he was in town and he had a blast!

I started here during the "Pay-What-You-Can" program in the middle of the pandemic. I cannot emphasize enough the freedom this allowed me to both join and learn. The space to participate virtually and (when possible) in-person felt safe, easy and empowering. Most coaches knew and remembered my name before I did theirs. I had always wanted to learn how to box and Cappy's provided me with well above average resources to do so. I hope I can pay more soon to support this community-focused organization. Thank you.

I’ve been boxing at Cappy’s on and off for years. The boxing fitness classes are some of the best workouts in town. The tactical skills, strength building, cardiovascular endurance, and mind-body connection you get from the workout keeps you coming back from more. Fantastic coaches (I swear, each of them remembers everybody’s name!) and extremely reasonable membership dues. If you’re looking for a great workout community, Cappy’s is the place to be!

If you're looking for a full body workout and supportive coaches, then Cappy's Boxing Gym is perfect for you! I've been coming for a bit over a year and I started with no boxing experience and now I've worked my up to sparring regularly. It's tough at first, but as long as you stick with it you'll see results!

Cappy’s is the only exercise I’ve managed to stick with, and has made a difference in my well-being. For folx who may feel intimidated-don’t fear! There are all ages, fitness levels, and body types welcome. It’s an unpretentious place where you’re encouraged to exercise at your own pace, but also pushed to work hard. The first class is free. Just try it!

I’ve worked out in some form or fashion my entire life. Work outs have always been, and continue to be my magic bullet. They help me to get out of bed and out of my head. I’ve been with Cappy’s in Seattle now for about 4-5 years. It is a wonderful & unique community of people, both Coaches and members. The Coaches are amazing, each with their own style, and all of them are super supportive and genuine. I am really fortunate to have a flexible schedule, so I get to work out with every Coach at Cappy’s. The members are also supportive and kind, so if it’s your first day of boxing, you will feel included and welcome. The classes are both serious and fun. They include cardio, high intensity cardio, strength/conditioning & stretching. And the music makes me want to dance. The Coaches have this way of showing/allowing you to make a connection between your body, your head and your heart. I’ve never had a workout that has done this for me before. It’s uncanny, otherworldly, & unique—It’s Magic! For me, it’s not only been quite a few light-bulb moments for my body, but also for my head and heart. Cappy’s is My Happy Place.

Update: I still love Cappy's- but I'm dropping a star since I've been unable to go for years now due to their super limited class schedule. The early classes are all too early, and the late are all too late :(
Add more time slots Cappy's!

This is my favorite gym in the entire city of Seattle! I go to their boxing fitness classes three times a week and love it! The fitness classes are a mixture of circuit training and an aerobic boxing workout during which you get to learn real boxing techniques. The gym is very "no-frills" which is perfect for a boxing gym IMO.
They have hand wraps you can rent for $2 and boxing gloves you can use for free, and the first class is only $5.
The staff is very consistent, and will learn your name immediately, and remember it- very cool. They're really friendly here, and have a ton of great tips for improving your form.

The workout and music is great. It's definitely a tough workout but you can go at your own pace. Coaches are great about helping you modify your workout if you have an injury or are getting back into shape. The best results I've had from a workout program.
There is no initiation fee and they aren't heavy on sales. I always hated being pressured by gyms like LA fitness who hound you for years!
