The Carol Edwards Center is a main staple for the City of Woodinville, not just for what it provides to the city, but for the name that it carries: The Carol Edwards Center. Carol Edwards, “the mother of Woodinville” did so much for her community when she came to Woodinville in 1976. Her dreams were big: starting the Woodinville Weekly, All Fools Day Parade, Teen Northshore, and the Farmers Market. Just before her death in 2007, the city named the Carol Edwards Center after her, in hopes of carrying on Carol Edward's dreams of providing a sense of community to Woodinville.

Nice clean facility, friendly staff, mostly serves kids during the weekdays in summer, but offers a few adult adult classes in the evening. During the school year there are more adult programs.

This is a great space and would have loved to see it at it's peak usage. I am not aware of the decision process for why the City of Woodinville wants to allow demolition and construction. Because the space has great potential in rehabilitation and with that job creation. So the sad thing there is in a biased position of not being involved with the decision the large footprint of the space, and two buildings, means the work could have been done in phases and maintain a revenue stream. Least of all to maintain the community well beingfor it's namesake Carol Edwards.
