Club Pilates South Lake Union is open at full capacity; masks are optional for vaccinated individuals. We are a boutique Pilates studio specializing in reformer fusion classes. We welcome all ages (over 14), shapes and sizes and for any fitness level. What matters to us is your goals, movement and feeling mentally healthier. Just moved here a few months ago and transferred to this studio. Most of the instructors are great, but today I made the mistake of taking Pricilla's class. She sounded irritated and angry the entire class, constantly barked orders and called people out for doing moves incorrectly when it was the first rep and most were just trying to figure out the movement or find their balance. Instructions were unclear and she was very impatient. I won't be going to any more of her classes but will continue at the studio.

Gorgeous studio!!! I’ve had such an amazing experience at Club Pilates SLU! From the moment you walk in, you are greeted by the friendliest staff and the studio is very much clean and organized. The instructors are not only knowledgeable but also genuinely encouraging, taking the time to adjust and guide you through each exercise to ensure proper form.

I’m still pretty new to Pilates—only been attending for about 4 months—and Robyn has made the experience so positive and welcoming. I’ve tried a few other instructors, but she truly takes the cake. She’s incredibly patient with beginners and creates a space where I feel safe to learn and improve. Her instructions are always clear and loud, so everyone can follow along easily. What I really appreciate is that she never scolds or seems frustrated if you’re not getting a movement exactly right. Every class is a solid workout—I always leave sweating! It’s no surprise her classes are almost always fully booked.

I've only been going for a few weeks, and I will say I am really enjoying it. I do think it's a little on the pricier side, but for how much fun it is, I feel good about the commitment. I do want to add that I had a negative experience with Robyn. I am only 3 or 4 classes in, and I must've misheard her when she said what prop to grab. A couple other people grabbed the same prop. When she saw I had the incorrect one, she spoke very rudely to me. She patronized me and the other members, and it was just overall embarrassing for me. No instructor should be scoffing and negatively calling out people in front of the whole class for making a small mistake. Honestly, it just made me feel really dumb and self conscious. I am surprised I had this experience with her as I have seen such positive reviews for her. I won't be taking any more of her classes, but I'm eager to try other instructors. I have taken Ian'a classes, and I do enjoy them. I agree he could speak up sometimes, but he has been attentive and helpful during the classes I've attended.

Robin is a world class instructor! She always have the perfect flow for her classes - no parts of body will be neglected haha, always a full work out with her.

I love also that she just makes you feel safe. Ive tried other instructors here but she remains the favorite! She points out the positives always and correct your form in a kind (hush way, she doesn’t single you out in front of class so your confidence really goes up!)

Awful awful experience here this morning. I usually go to the Queen Anne Club Pilates, which I absolutely LOVE. I tried this SLU Club Pilates for the first time today and left shortly after class began. The instructor, IAN, was incredibly rude and short with me and the 4 other participants in class. He would mumble the instructions, we could barely hear what we were supposed to be doing. Then all the sudden he would bark out things like “NO NO THIS IS A WARM-UP LISTEN TO WHAT IM SAYING!” I was so curious as to why his classes weren’t as full as the others at this studio and now I understand why. That was AWFUL. I’m seriously so disappointed as I have just recently gotten into Pilates and was loving it so much. This was such a negative experience. I also now see how many awful reviews he has through ClassPass, how is this person still working here??? There are reviews of him doing the same things dated as far back as 3 years ago!

I had a really upsetting experience at this specific studio with instructor: Ian. There were several negative reviews already on this instructor but I took a chance anyways and wish I had listened to the experiences of others. Ian used an aggressive tone and yelled at participants throughout the entirety of the class, I felt very uneasy and couldn’t get out of the studio fast enough. I will not be returning to this studio again while Ian remains an instructor. Save your credits & comfort and avoid any clases with this instructor.

I love working out at this studio. I started this Jan and Ian has been a very kind and encouraging instructor.Conveniently located close to work allows for taking classes on a workday. The studio is super clean.
Relaxing the “show up within 5 mins of start time” criteria will make it more conducive for working women around the club to show up and work out during a work day particularly because they have dependencies on their meeting end times.

Club Pilates in SLU has been such a wonderful addition to my daily routine. I wanted to try reformer pilates for some time but was a little intimidated by all the equipment - I took the free intro class and that immediately eased all my concerns. I've been taking Level 1 classes several times a week and I've not had any issues as a beginner - the instructors have been very patient and give clear cues so you can keep pace. I've particularly enjoyed my classes with Robyn and Erin - each class has introduced new movements to ensure variety and I find them both challenging and relaxing. I've also noticed an improvement in my flexibility - I no longer feel as rigid as I did before when I was focusing solely on HIIT classes and weights as part of my fitness routine.

I’ve been taking Club Pilates classes for almost a year now, and it’s been a fantastic experience! The classes are perfectly curated, offering a great balance of challenging exercises and relaxation, making it an ideal way to connect body and mind after a long workday. All the instructors are excellent, but Erin is definitely my favorite. Despite all the negative reviews on ClassPass regarding Ian’s Reformer Flow 1 Class, I still booked the class. I should have listened.

Ian gave very poor instructions and then got frustrated with us when we didn’t understand his cues. He kept saying, “are you listening?” and “why aren’t you listening to me?” throughout the class.

I didn’t feel safe or comfortable in that class. I have been doing Pilates for three years now and this is definitely the worst experience I’ve had.

This was my first time at this studio so I don’t want to write off the entire place. Perhaps other instructors might be a better fit.

I absolutely love this Pilates studio! I’ve been attending for a few months now, and it’s become a part of my weekly schedule.

The instructors at Club Pilates SLU kind, knowledgeable, and truly supportive. Priscilla, in particular, is amazing—she explains how the muscles work in class real time, which has helped me both in and outside of class (especially with posture!).

The variety of classes at the studio makes it easy to work on flexibility, strength, core, and cardio. and the community members make every session enjoyable. As someone who works in person at a 9–5, I really appreciate the convenient location and class times too. Highly recommend!

Last year I develop some annoying knee pain and was thinking I'd be in an out of doctors offices, however after a couple months of starting classes my pain is completely gone.The app is super user friendly and the instructors make it easy to follow along.

The classes are a nice, low impact workout. From my ~6 classes so far, the experiences can be varied based on the instructor and class type, so it takes some time to figure out what classes you like. Pilates makes for really good cross training and it's great for people who spent a lot of time sitting at desks.

I think I will complete the 3 month minimum on my membership and then cancel because the value for what you pay is not quite there for me. The classes here run about ~$35/class whereas my pole fitness studio is ~$20/class. Both are 1 hour duration and cap out at 12 people, so it's a reasonable comparison (although the Pilates classes are actually only 50 min long).

This was my first time doing pilates but I've done many other workout classes like yoga, pole fitness, orange theory, hiit, etc. Sometimes I think the Pilates classes try too hard to use a lot of fancy equipment for exercises that would be better done on just a mat. Occasionally that takes away from ensuring the right form and muscle engagement with moves because you're spending more time fumbling with the equipment. I'm sure that gets better with time and practice though.

On the flip side, the equipment is fun to use and there are some cool unique things you can do on the reformer. I recommended these classes to my mom and sister who have less mobility and struggle with things like putting weight on their knees, although these are quite expensive to do long term. Pilates are fun and if they were just a bit less expensive I think I'd stick with it longer.

Overall it's 4/5 stars for me! Btw I wrote this review because they emailed and texted me like 10 times to leave one. I hope they accept my honest review!

My favorite time of the day is my Pilates class! Immensely Grateful to the dedicated, focused and my favorite instructors- Jenny and Marcela!
Jenny - She is very knowledgeable about different muscle groups of the body and explains the right postures during the class. Attending her classes, I have also learnt a thing or two about the thus-far non-existent muscle groups of my body! Lastly, I just love her wit, sense of humor and energy. She’s probably one of those few people who can make me laugh even at 6 AM!
Marcela - Her classes are are the most energetic ones, and I mentally prepare myself to give it my best in her classes (especially Jump board Cardio class) to make the most out of her work out plan for the class. She motivates and pushes everyone to go beyond their limits. Over time, I feel my stamina has improved a lot, credits to her for that.
In my few months of experiencing Pilates, I have learnt that it’s not just for the body but for the mind too. Thankyou again to my teachers (Jenny & Marcela 🙌💯)- they are so awesome at what they do, and I am happier, healthier and stronger because of them! ♥️🙏

Visiting Seattle from Tampa, Florida, I am a Pilates regular and had to squeeze in a class during my stay. I enjoyed a 7:00 a.m. class with Katherine and it was excellent. This studio had a great selection of grip socks, was very clean, Katherine was engaging and had a very challenging but fun flow planned for us. It was the exact sweat and stretch I needed after my long flight the morning before! I would absolutely come back, and love Club Pilates (I’m an unlimited member at my home studio). As a bonus, the early classes had no waitlist - which was perfect for my last minute booking. Thank you Katherine and Club Pilates South Lake Union!

I've been going to Club Pilates South Lake Union for a week now with an unlimited membership, and I’m loving it so far!

The variety of classes here is fantastic. There are different levels, and classes like Reformer Flow, Cardio, and Restore, each led by different instructors. I’ve tried Reformer Flow with Robyn and Priscilla, and Cardio with Gioconda, and each experience has been unique and incredible.

Robyn is amazing—she's attentive, supportive, and always there to help when you're struggling. She really ensures you get the most out of each session. Priscilla only teaches once a week, but her class is challenging in the best way. I always leave feeling accomplished and energized. Gioconda’s cardio classes are also fantastic—intense, but rewarding, leaving you feeling both exhausted and exhilarated.

The studio itself is spotless, and everyone cleans their equipment after each session, which is great to see. The front desk staff are super friendly and always ready to help, which adds to the welcoming atmosphere.

Overall, this place is perfect for both beginners and seasoned Pilates enthusiasts. It's already making me feel stronger and more flexible. I can’t wait to explore more classes and instructors! Highly recommend!

I've been to 3 classes so far. Overall, really happy with my experience. The studio is clean and well maintained. The instructors are helpful and kind. Schedule is reliable.

My only gripe is the studio only has one restroom. There are no lockers or changing facilities. Not ideal if you are going back to work after a class and need a place to change/get ready.

The studio is small but that is great because you are not with many people taking the class. However, more attention from the coach to new members without experience doing Pilates. I feel I didn’t get any type of attention about my back posture or legs inclination, also I didn’t see the coach was doing that with other people in the class.

I’ve been a member since 2021 and I love Club Pilates South Lake Union. One of the reasons I joined was because my baby was getting heavier and I knew I needed to get stronger. Today he’s a 50 pound 5 year old and if needed I can still carry him without issues. I no longer have back pain or get cramps in my calves. I can visibly see that I have more defined muscles. All pilates studios aren’t cheap but if you can afford it then I recommend it.

I absolutely love coming here! All the staff is so warm and welcoming and Robyn is such a great instructor! All the instructors teach so differently, so it depends on what you want to get out of the class, but I really love how well rounded Robyn's classes are.

She definitely teaches a more athletic class than some of the other instructors, but that's what I really love about it. They're a great mix of working all the muscles you want, breaking a sweat, challenging yourself, building endurance, and also stretching and strengthening all the areas that pilates is known to do. She's also just really encouraging, attentive, and incredibly understanding and patient.

I'd highly recommend giving this studio a shot if you've been considering pilates! Try out all the instructors and see who fits your needs the best. Good luck!

I have been going to Club Pilates regularly for over a year now. I absolutely love this place! First, the studio itself is situated in a super convenient location (near my office), making it easy for me to incorporate in my schedule. It is well maintained, hygienic and peaceful workout place with wide variety of equipment that make classes interesting and challenging over a long period. Further, the instructors are all very patient, knowledgeable and experienced. I especially love attending Priscilla's classes. The location is super convenient if you live in SLU. Some of the instructors are really amazing, I could go for a class even when I was recovering from an injury or sprain. They're super helpful and attentive if you let them know before the class.
If you book the classes well in advance, it's usually not hard to find a spot that works with your timings.
I had a hard time adjusting to Pilates and finding what works for me during the first couple of months but now I can never go back!

I cannot emphasize enough how great the SLU Club Pilates studio is! The instructors are all extremely qualified and highly experienced in the knowledge of pilates practice and overall health and wellness. The range in pilates class types and class levels offered make it a class that is open to anyone and the instructors really give you a sense of belonging while you are in class. I personally have taken about 200 classes at this Club Pilates studio and have progressed from the beginner level 1 classes to the advanced level 2 classes with the support of the SLU Club Pilates instructors. I've been coming over to Club Pilates for a month, I have tried some of their 1.0 classes and I really love the classes.
Firstly I'm super thankful for the location as it's a 5 minute walk from where I live to get here.
Also since they have clearly labeled the intensity/difficulty of different classes, you know if you'll be able to make the most out of a class or not. I love that they have evening classes so I am able to wrap up work and dinner before I head to class.
As far as classes go, I really like that instructors walk around to check on the form of those in class and give you a nice full body workout in most classes. I know I fail to exercise most of these muscles as much I should and thanks to these classes I feel I can feel more fit and flexible. The environment in the class focuses on engaging all the different muscles in your body yet it manages to be super calming!

Facility is clean and has everything you need. Not extra fancy, but friendly and contained.
The class timings are good. Everyone would find a suitable time to come in atleast twice a week.
They have offers and options for their membership that you can pick and choose from.

My only pet peeve is that they do not have parking - its all paid parking around the studio!

Staff are so great! They will help you with booking classes sometimes. Love the ambiance here and the relaxing feeling! I like the more difficult level of reformers to get my workout, coming from the Barre exercise experience. I feel beautiful, elongated and strong. They give you time to warm up and stretch in the beginning too.

But I wish they had more gluts and legs workout (the "control" classes) bc those are mostly once a week (or during my sleep time) and 7-10 ppl on the wait-list. Having that said, it's really booked up for all afternoon classes, I'm usually on the wait-list and I have to check my personal schedule with Pilates calendar frequently to see if I can switch to any shorter wait listed classes :( it is a lot of work to get into the class unless you are booking
for 1-2 weeks later. But this club is that good!!! 😊

I signed up for a free intro 30 minute class and it was so incredibly amazing. I’m familiar with at home Pilates workout videos but this - club Pilates - is the ultimate experience. I’ve needed more motivation to workout lately and after this class I knew this was the place for me. They’re clear on their directions and the movements are very intentional-something other gyms don’t provide. I’ve tried several free intro classes at several types of gyms recently and club Pilates fits just right. They provide student and first responder rates and as a nursing student REALLY helps me out. Try a class-you won’t be disappointed!

After trying a couple other Pilates studios, I found an intro class for Club Pilates. I had a smooth booking experience. The staff is very friendly. Other places can have a threatening cult like vibe. The person at the front desk was inviting, smiling and was happy to introduce all the first timers. In other places you are left on your own to watch others and do tha classes here our instructor walked us through the basics of our equipment in detail for a fundamental understanding of how to stay safe and have an effective workout. I am currently using class pass but might consider becoming regular at club Pilates.

This studio has the best instructors and equipment.

However, management has pretty predatory pricing practices. They enforce a rigid cancellation policy, requiring at least 30 days notice, which they don't inform you of when you sign up. This means that you cannot end your membership after your current month is over - you have to finish the current month, then pay ANOTHER month even if you are unable to attend. Not to mention that the minimum sign-up period when you first join is a whole 3 months.

Additionally, if you forget your grippy socks, they force you to buy an overpriced pair from them on the spot instead of offering to borrow/rent. They charge an exorbitant $15-25 per pair.

Overall, the studio's instructors and classes are great, but beware of its exploitative management.

Front desk is always super helpful. I’ve been working out at this studio for 8 months now and the experience has been delightful.
However, it’s hard to find a spot if not planned 1-2 days in advance and there’s a cancellation fee within 12 hours. There are not many slots in the morning so might not fit everyone’s work schedule.
