Best yoga practices I have been to, and when I accidentally didn't cancel my membership the proper way, their response was very accommodating and kind.

Their Long Slow Deep class is solid, but the administration is terrible. I cancelled in June and discovered in September that I was still being charged. When I notified them, they asked me to forward the original cancellation email, which I did. I also sent an attachment and a screenshot, yet they insisted none of it counted, showing they don’t understand how email or forwarding works, and even accused me of being wrong. I'm having to go through Visa to resolve it while the studio fights me on a refund or even receiving credit. Be cautious with billing. Their other reviews mention that ownership is snotty, and after this experience I can see why.

The owners are snobs and not welcoming. I was told I look weird in certain postures and had no explanation of why. I do not recommend this studio or training to anyone. Unless you want to feel terrible about yourself

I did their trial special, and some more classes after that. I enjoyed the classes but would not recommended to beginners. They don't explain poses much so if you're not familiar you're left being off beat and wondering if you're doing it right. They don't really offer alternatives if a pose doesn't work for you. Temperature wise I thought it was pleasantly warm.

I have been practicing with the Commune Seattle online community for five years now. I have also made two separate trips to the Seattle Commune Studio from my hometown in Alberta, Canada. The studio itself is welcoming and beautiful, alongside offering strong, authentic, affirming teachers to facilitate amazing yoga classes. They offer a variety of classes, both in-studio and online, so you can always find what you need. I feel like home when I practice with Commune and I hope others find their way to this studio to get a feel of it’s magic too 💛

I practice with Commune Yoga through their online classes daily, and it’s an amazing experience. The teachers are knowledgeable, inspiring, and bring great energy to every session. The platform offers a wide variety of classes, making it easy to find the right practice for any mood and level. The quality of the recordings and guidance is excellent, making me feel connected even from afar. Highly recommended for anyone looking for high-quality online yoga!

After recently moving to Seattle a couple of years ago, I was nervous to pay for a yoga studio when I already paid for a gym membership and pilates membership. I usually did yoga at the gym or on my own terms online. I found commune through a friend’s recommendation and gave it a shot. Well wow I’m so glad I took that shot! I didn’t know I would find a community as warm, kind, and welcoming as commune yoga. You can tell that the managers try really really hard to keep the studio in great condition and to provide a variety of yoga classes and a schedule that allows people to practice various times during the day. I particularly love Patrick’s handstands class and Erica’s long slow deep class.
I saw the comments about the yoga studio being warm, honestly I’ve been going to yoga classes for the last 10 years of my life and an 80 degree temperature for a vinyasa class is very normal. I’ve honestly taken vinyasa classes that were even warmer than that (85-87 degrees). They also have fans in the space and do a great job at fanning the place and opening the doors in between classes to air out the space if needed.

Warning - all classes are heated. Their website makes no mention of this. I didn't find out until after check in, now they won't refund me my class cost even though I was unable to attend through no fault of my own (the heat causes a severe health risk). I wouldn't have signed up if they advertised properly!

My class with Anja was engaging and restorative. I would have loved to return to take another class with her. Unfortunately, my interactions with both the owner and manager of the studio were far from pleasant. Their lack of communication and disrespectful attitude has led me to avoid me from recommending this studio. I don’t believe in attending a studio that would harbor this sort of energy from the staff.

Having practiced yoga for 20 years, I have been to many studios across the country and world. I have practiced regularly here for a couple of years including throughout my pregnancy and post partum experience. This studio is fantastic because of its teachers and the clear passion for the craft of thoughtful movement practice facilitation. I appreciate that the space is simple, without mirrors or excessive heat. This way, I can connect easily to a meditative state of being. I have also been able to clearly advance my physical practice and explore unique movement and poses on a regular basis (impressive given how much yoga I have practiced over the years!). Thank you Commune for being wonderful!

I've been loving this place for a while and wanted to share a review for anyone curious about joining Commune! Here are some thoughts I had before and after becoming a member:

1. They don’t keep your yoga mat: This might seem a bit cumbersome, especially if you commute by bus like I do, but I got used to it and this policy actually makes the studio cleaner and more spacious!

2. They communicate via email, with no direct phone at the studio: This can be little confusing for new members, but their email response time is super fast. I assume this policy helps keep the classes distraction-free and high quality

3. Classes might get packed: I usually go to 6pm classes on weekdays, which aren’t crowded at all. However, the weekend morning classes can get busy. I find this could be pro or con depends on your style. Personally, I don’t mind either way—whether the space is big or small, it encourages you to get creative with your movements and space

In short, I love this place, and I hope everyone gets a chance to try this wonderful studio!

Great classes however after a few months of membership have decided to cancel due to repetitive poor customer service with the manager at the time, Erica. I was consistently confronted with rudeness and blatant disregard and I saw it happen to others as well. It was even more disconcerting to watch as the employee gushed over male clients but was cold to many of the females. I attended for 6 months or so until this behavior sickened the experience for me and I had to cancel. I wanted to love the studio and the experience but the rude service turned me off.

Moved recently to Seattle where a friend recommended this gem of a place & now I wouldn’t go anywhere else. There’s such a wide variety of really high level, knowledgeable instructors with their own flow, & approach to yoga that you really can’t go wrong here; whatever you’re looking for out of your practice. & as a side note - everyone’s so friendly & welcoming; they really do a have a great sense of community which always adds a lot to the practice itself!

I've been to this studio a couple times. Overall the instructions are great, I especially enjoyed Tracy's class. She gave a lot of alignment cues that helped my practice. My issue Is that the classes are way too packed. I've been to some busy studios in the past, but I've never been to one so packed that I felt hard to move and had difficulty to breathe. Commune claims the room is heated around 80 but it is way hotter in reality. The room barely has any ventilation, so it ends up getting really hot and humid. I saw someone else mentioned the room temperature got to around 100 degrees (and this wasn't in the summer time). I try to avoid hot yoga due to health reasons so I was very disappointed when I found out the room was way hotter than expected. Later I tried a class on a weekday morning at 10:30, thankfully that class wasn't as busy (around 20 people) and I had a much better experience. Overall I have mixed feelings about the studio and likely won't be back

This yoga is fine, but be warned that it is "heated" to 80 degrees, and has no air conditioning, so since it's summer, it might be quite a bit warmer. I personally dislike hot yoga and would not have gone if I knew this in advance, and I could find no place on the website where this was disclosed. It's a good class, I just would have been happier to know about the heat in advance.

I found Commune Yoga after the yoga studio I was a regular practitioner at closed during the pandemic. It’s always hard to start over, which is why I’m so grateful for the teachers, community, and space at Commune. My practice is deepening in so many new ways, both physically and mentally, and all the teachers I’ve taken from give you space to show up and get what you need from the practice on a given day. That very reason is one of the many reasons I love this space and would recommend it for all levels of practitioner.

Commune yoga has been such a great place for healing and growth. Fairly new to yoga I started going to Commune a year ago and I’m still amazed by and grateful for all the teachers there- you can feel their dedication to their practice and passion to help us all learn more about ourselves. No matter how tired I am in order to make it to the first class in the morning I'm always glad that I do, leaving feeling like I can take a bigger breath throughout the rest of the day. Thank you to all the teachers, front desk staff and yogis that make this studio really amazing, helping us all on our journeys.

The one start is not for the classes or the instructors they are great. But the business are thief they make you download an app and sign up and say it’s easy for cancellations but that is not the case I have emailed and no response. No phone number to call and talk to someone for help. I have the bank involved to help cancel auto payments but all they can do is issue fees each month and refund me my fees each month since Commune Yoga refuses to honor the banks, automatic payment cancellation. I try to go and talk to someone and you can’t unless you show up before a class starts or you have to wait till it’s out or another class starts. Cancelation on their app or your website account is not found anywhere the bank manager and I spent an hour looking for it, not including other times I’ve tried to find. So please go for great yoga but look out if you ever want to cancel they make it impossible and they just take and take each month. Not having a cancellation option is illegal and I will be filling a complaint with the BBB.

If you happen to view this review of the practice. I apologize and to most folks relief it was far from what I posted prior. After experiencing the practice for myself all I can say is yin candlelight yoga practice is really namaste! Namaste in the sense I feel peace with my instructor the practice and studio. I even forgive the front desk person, although at tim I feel may feel burdened by what I said before and the long hours she may have worked. Nevertheless, it was beyond my expectations. Thank you Carling and Jen for allowing me to experience yin and namaste. Will be back for more.

I've taken in-person vinyasa and mellow flow classes at Commune and cannot rave enough! You immediately feel welcomed when walking into the studio by the kind instructors and the clean (yet warm and inviting) atmosphere. I greatly appreciate how each instructor brings so much authenticity to their classes and movement while maintaining the integrity of the practice. There's plenty of space for your personal belongings, changing room, and bathrooms! Highly recommend!

Great space, amazing teachers. I feel like the owner must encourage teachers to incorporate new/exploratory movement, which I personally really appreciate. Only thing I wish the studio had is some windows for more natural light. (The practice room has frosted French doors that open up to the lobby, which does have big windows, so there is a bit of natural light.)

I've just discovered this online yoga platform and I'm amazed. As a digitalnomad, I had been looking for a way to keep on practicing on the go, but never found my happy place. Here, you have everything you need: different types of yoga, different practice length, over five fantastic teachers, technique classes for an unbeatable price. I started a month ago and now, thanks to them, I feel like going on my mat every single day and I commit. I feel stronger, more focused. Anyway, just had to say thank you, you've all changed my life ! Now, I can keep on working, travelling the world while being healthy and present. THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart <3

I visited Commune Yoga during a weekend visit to Seattle, and since I arrived back home I have told EVERYONE I know that I wish that the studio could be in my home city (which is not lacking in yoga studios, might I add). The staff is incredibly sweet and welcoming. In addition to being knowledgeable about the roots of yoga, anatomy and poses, the classes are sequenced creatively. I have been to many yoga classes in my life, and I never knew what was coming. Such a fun and refreshing feeling! On top of it all, the merch is on point. I love this studio and will visit it over and over when I visit Seattle.
