I've joined Compound Strength and Performance with Tyler as my trainer about 5 months ago or so and I can honestly say that Tyler and Alaina are the best!
I've never had a positive relationship with the gym or working out in general, so I was very skeptical when I joined but Tyler has changed my view of working out. He's very good at meeting me where I'm at and working around any injuries or limitations I may have, and he's very supportive too.
Even though the program is semi-private, I've never felt he's not paying full attention to me. He's always there when I need guidance or input, and he's always on the lookout for my form.
The workout itself is tailored to my goals, so it's not like every one is doing the same set of exercises which adds to the feeling of it being more personal.
Every time I go feels like I'm out meeting friends, and I can't believe I'm writing this but for the first time in my life working out has become a thing I look forward to.

If you’re thinking about signing up with Tyler & Alaina, do it. I wish I had started sooner. I’ve been training with Tyler for almost 6 months to get in shape for my upcoming wedding, but I now plan to continue even after because I love it so much. I’ve done group fitness classes off and on for years (mostly off, if I’m being honest), but Tyler’s semi-private personal training is something I *actually* look forward to every week, and something I see myself doing long-term.

I love that Tyler switches things up so I’m regularly doing and learning new things. He pushes me to get that one last rep in, and cheers me on with each new PR. He takes into account the things I personally want to work on, and tailors my program to me, my physical abilities and my goals. In 6 months I feel stronger than ever, and I can’t wait to see where I’m at after another 6 months.

I’ve been training with Coach Tyler at Compound Strength and Performance for about 14 weeks now, and I can already feel a huge difference. I’ve been playing sports for nearly 20 years, mostly team sports, but this is my first time doing personal or semi-private training. After being out of shape for years and dealing with a few injuries, this was my way back in.

Tyler has been incredible at meeting me where I am, focusing on my goals, and helping me rebuild. He tailored all my workouts around my injuries without ever making me feel limited. He also keeps things fresh by switching up the workouts and making them progressively more challenging. He watches everyone like a hawk and his attention to detail is unreal. The class size is small enough that he can keep a close eye on everyone, which makes the experience feel a lot more like personal training than semi-private. He’ll catch the tiniest thing, like a slight shift in your foot, the angle of your lift, or your head position to keep your posture aligned, and correct it on the spot to make sure you’re using good form, the right muscles, avoiding strain, and getting stronger week over week.

On top of that, the vibe at the gym is really welcoming. It feels more like a small community of friends than a gym full of strangers. Training here has made getting back in shape not just achievable, but something I actually look forward to!

I started working with Alaina to kickstart my journey back into a regular strength program. For many years I used to lift weights and do cardio, but over time with work, life obligations, and

My family and I have been training with Tyler and Alaina at Compound Strength and Performance for several years. They are amazing. I couldn't recommend them highly enough. They are talented coaches. If you think strength training and fitness coaching is easy, or there's little difference among trainers, you're wrong. I've worked with at least a dozen coaches, trainers, and physical therapists over the years. Tyler is hands down the best.

I've had back pain over time and have been hesitant to lift weights. I want to maintain muscle mass as I age, and be able to lift my bags into an overhead bin with ease when I'm 70. But I've tried everything and, until I started working with Compound Strength and Performance, strength training caused backpain to flair.

I started working with Tyler six months ago and I am able to strength train without back pain. I feel stronger, healthier, and more confident moving outside the gym, It's amazing.

Tyler is super attentive to technique and how my body reacts to movement. He's recommended big and sometimes very small adjustment that make an outsized difference. Shifting weight from my heals to my toes, changing my grip angle from 90 degrees to 45 degrees, displacing my weight when I bench press to take pressure off my back, a consistent stretching routine - these big and small things have made a huge difference.

The only downside of training with the team at Compound Strength & Performance is the amount of unnecessary attention I get for having a god-like physique. But I'm learning to deal with it.

In all seriousness, the coaching support and semi-private training sessions have been extremely valuable. I've been an athlete my whole life and worked with a number of trainers over the years, but this team is excellent. There is a sense of community with other great people committed to leveling up their fitness, and while it's not 1:1 training I get lots of personalized training recommendations and enough attention to help me work around my own individual injuries and pain points.

I am about 2 months in and I have been more consistent in the gym than I was prior - I leave workouts feeling energized and stronger. My goal in signing up was to get back to feeling 'athletic and twitchy' and get a better physique - and I have already made a lot of progress towards both. Grateful to be working with this team & highly recommend.

I came to Compound Strength and Fitness with a heavy heart and a knee that had seen two ACL reconstructions. The journey back to fitness seemed daunting, especially after the second surgery on the same knee. But Tyler, with his expertise and genuine care, has been instrumental in my recovery and progress. Working with Tyler is one of the best things I’ve ever done for myself. His sessions are challenging, empowering and so much fun. A year and a half later and I’m still excited to go everyday. He is crazy supportive, the best cheerleader and is genuinely interested in my success. This is going to be lengthy so here’s the point: Stop waiting, sign up today.

I reached out to Tyler at a particularly low point. I hadn’t exercised regularly in almost a decade. We met over a video call and he was curious and affirming from the jump.

The first session was grueling, learning foundational movements and how to listen to the feedback my body was giving me. I can only describe the sessions that followed as life-changing. Not only did Tyler make thoughtful adjustments to my program, he also adjusted how he coached and encouraged me. Beyond the purpose of the exercises and the focus on form, he trained me to be present and push to get the most out of each rep, set, and workout.

Tyler also pointed me toward nutrition and hydration goals that have helped me totally transform my body. I came to our first session weighing somewhere near 140 pounds. Today, just a couple of months later, I’m weighing in at 170 pounds (for context, I’m 25, 5’11”). The most important improvements have been in my functional strength, energy, and mood.

Tyler has been my coach for years, now he also coaches both of my teenage kids who have strong individual needs. He’s very knowledgeable, professional, observant, patient, supportive, extremely kind and caring! He’s attentive to details, particularly when it comes to posture and muscles. He’s also an active listener - my workout is not only personalized to keep me challenged and progressing, but also adjusted according to things going on in my day/life and how my body feels. He can do so without thinking, like it just comes naturally to him. He’s never judgmental or negative, I always feel safe and comfortable with him while he’s making me stronger by building my muscles and confidence simultaneously.
His holistic approach to wellness makes him more than just a fitness coach! Tyler and Alaina are amazing coaches- energetic, knowledgeable and caring. They put tons of effort and planning into their classes and training sessions. They take a lot of pride in their work- always wanting to offer the best that they can to help their clients! I've been doing semi-private training with Tyler for over a year, and group training classes with both. They've created a fun and motivating gym community. I started training with Compound fitness in January per the recommendation of a friend. I do semi-personal training with Tyler, and take classes with him and Aleina.

Compared to other trainers I've had (all at big box gyms) Tyler is very engaged and prepared for our sessions. He keeps my goals top of my and reminds me of them to help me push myself. He's very good at problem solving and adapting his training style so I can make progress if an exercise or plan doesn't work for me.

The classes are good - other than they work me out hard, and that the environment is supportive and inspiring, I don't have much to add.
