i’ve been with DMZ for about 10 years now, just graduated this year and finished off my senior year with them. Both my sister and cousin were apart of their team so Dance Motionz has truly become part of the family. A good dance studio is an understatement for the love and care Lauren and Kelly give to each one of their dancers. They instill not only technical and professional dance advice to continue to grow a dancers love and passion for the art, but also real life lessons. How to be apart of a team, how to cheer for one another through success and failure, to not walk away when things get hard, but most importantly that sports are not just a club u go to every week. It’s a safe place to call home when times are rough, and truly a place to meet the most amazing people. The amount of time, effort, and love these two put into the studio is incomparable to anything i’ve seen before. They truly go above and beyond to make each dancer the best version of themselves and to truly love what they do. Aside from Lauren and Kelly, the studio itself is packed with amazing individuals that i had the blessing to call my best friends. Everyone truly has each others best interest in mind and are so supportive and welcoming. Dance Motionz is genuinely something rare that u don’t come across everyday, and it’s truly impacted my life in so many ways words can’t explain. Love them with my whole heart!

We’ve been part of DMZ since 2020, and it has truly become a second home for my daughter. The coaches are not only talented but also so encouraging, helping the girls grow in confidence and skill while still keeping dance fun. The friendships she’s made here and the supportive atmosphere from the other dancers and families are priceless. The owner genuinely cares about the kids and the families, and it shows in everything she does. We are so grateful to be part of this amazing studio community!

10/10! We signed up our 2 year old at a friend’s suggestion, not knowing what to expect. Her teacher was so patient, supportive and energetic; my daughter had a hard time dancing without me in the room at first, but her teacher helped build her confidence and didn’t make it hard on either of us. She turned three before the end of season recital, and we didn’t know what to expect, but they put on a SHOW. Everything looked amazing and you could tell every class in DMZ is run by amazing teachers. We are so excited for the new studio space and more seasons of dancing! I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

In the short time we were a part of DM, Lauren, Kelly and the team made us feel like family. My daughter was accepted by her peers as part of the team and they supported one another with so much grace. Our family loves dance motionz! Not only has it been instrumental in our daughters dance education, it has served as a second home and safe place for her for many years. All of the dance instructors are wonderful and our daughter has made forever friends at this studio, and for this we are so grateful!

My child had danced on the Impact team since 5th grade, except her 8th grade year due to and injury and then a break her 9th grade year.
She did not make an impact team her senior year, the reason given she had difficulty with choreograph/ timing and she did not sign up for the Google class room until the next morning after the first day of practice.
The difficulty with choreograph/ timing had always been a known challenge of the studio and my child since 5th grade. Since 5th grade the studio worked with her, she eventually got the routine and moved up with the levels through her years. It feels the studio gave up on her, her last year.
It appears the studio does not take into consideration that dancers/ families have other things going on outside of dance/ dance try out, such as possibly family emergencies or work. It’s disappointing this was a reason taken into consideration as well.
Lastly, communication between myself and the studio was challenging. Often, I’d wait days or more than a week for a response back. Even until the end where I had to request twice for the remaining balance on my account.
Edit: after waiting two months and inquiring three times about our refund (the third time was after we received a text message asking if we needed assistance registering for fall dance classes, I’m sure this was a generic text, but still hurtful to my child) I did receive my refund, however, not in its entirety.

This is a nice studio and my daughter liked dance instructors.
BUT... so expensive! They charge for "membership " and not per class or a month.
They start mid September, end mid June, are not open on holidays or school breaks but start charging $60 "a month " from beginning of September plus non refundable registration fee. Plus costume fee-beginning of November, when after 1 month and a half, with 1 class a week (45 minutes a class , subtract water and bathroom breaks)my daughter even hasn't decided if she wants to commit to aclass for a whole year
Too pricey for a recreational option for a kid.
