I found Eastlake Performance on Google while searching for an athletic based personal training studio. As a former D1 athlete, I wanted to find a personal trainer that had experience working with athletes and EP seemed to fit the criteria. It’s also always clean and the garage parking added to the convenience.
Over the last year I’ve trained with multiple personal trainers that have come and sadly gone, but the owner has done a good job at hiring new coaches and building a great team. I’ve rehabbed multiple injuries, reduced injuries, and gained a lot of strength training with them.
If you’re searching for a personal training gym in Seattle that works with athletes I would highly recommend Eastlake Performance!

I have been working with Eastlake Performance for over a year now. I have been extremely impressed with Paul and his team. I was looking to get back into shape after a few years of neglecting my physical fitness. Their customized approach has have gotten me back to the best shape I have been in since my early 20s. After a shoulder injury and months of physical therapy I was afraid to start challenging my body again. My teenager wanted to give personal training a try, so we signed up for 2 on 1 sessions at Eastlake Performance. Over the past eight-plus months I’ve regained confidence and built strength — without injury. My teenager and I both enjoy the vibe. It’s a small space, but it delivers a huge variety of activities. I appreciate that it is nearly private and that I’m not wasting time waiting for equipment to free up. Every session is different as Paul consistently finds ways to torture um I mean challenge us. I am finding muscles I never knew I had. Eastlake Performance provides patience, guidance, encouragement, and serious challenge. I highly recommend!

This has been one of the best gyms I have ever trained at.
Excellent sport specific training that was modified to my limitations. I had broken my wrist and have limited range of motion and Paul found different equipment and movements to help me so I was able to train fully and get the results I didn’t know I could achieve. I had a fully comprehensive training program that allowed me to train by myself outside of the gym as well.
The results speak for themselves.

I joined Eastlake Performance over a year ago for the semi-private classes and couldn’t be happier with the results! The workout is a great, blending cardio and strength but without the drill sergeant vibe. I feel stronger now than I was 10 years ago and my friends keep commenting on how good I look! Edit: After a break for a couple of years I’m back and I’m happy to say the new trainers are just as fantastic! Edwin and Dane make workouts fun while still making sure you’re doing things correctly. I’m very glad I’m back and now my 16 year old son can join me and learn how to train safely and effectively!
I have been training with Paul for 3 years now. He has been able to help me reach all my goals, while keeping the workouts fun and interesting! Paul had a wealth of knowledge of exercise physiology as well as nutrition and injury prevention. His constant attention to proper form is very refreshing! After I tore my ACL last year, he helped me rehabilitate my knee to 100% functionality without the need for any surgery!!
Paul also continues to stay up to date on all the current information by attending continuing education courses and seminars regularly.
Paul has carefully selected a exceptional team to work with him at Eastlake Performance! It's a wonderful gym, and I highly recommend them!

I have been going here for the past year and I absolutely love the personal training program and staff! Johnny, Issac, Dakota, and Austin have been phenomenal to work with. Awesome owner and staff! I was new in town and they welcomed me with open arms and i will definitely return. I came to Eastlake Performance as an athlete and the owner created a personalized plan for me catered to my strengths and weaknesses , and the staff were all on the same page. I can't say enough good things about Eastlake Performance! Becky, my trainer, is so enthusiastic, motivating, and easy to talk to. It has been a joy to have her work with my husband and I for the past 5 months. Each workout is different and fun! She and the entire staff have an extensive physiology/kinesiology knowledge - gearing workouts towards our needs.

I have been training with Paul for over 7 years at several of his prior gyms where he rented space. He recently opened his own gym - Eastlake Performance. The space is perfect for the one on one training that we do together. With me, the focus is on functional fitness so I can get more out of my active lifestyle (hiking, snowboarding, mountain biking). I used to just lift heavy weights all the time and while I felt strong, I was always injured (even with other trainers!). With Paul, it's just the opposite, he keeps me in my best shape so I can avoid injury. Speaking of which, Paul helped me lose 30 pounds and keep it off more than 5 years now. Paul has helped me reach nutritional goals, weight loss goals, and strength goals, all while being supportive and encouraging. He is the most creative trainer I have worked with - he finds ways to keep your body guessing - like doing the same exercise, but with resistance bands, or by using balance balls/pads, or doing many exercises with one side at a time, keeping your core fully engaged. The new gym on Eastlake is convenient - there are a couple free parking spots, a nice shower/changing room, and he caps the number of trainers at any given time. I've also attended some group training classes with Paul and found that to be a great complement to the individual attention I get during the single sessions. As a long-time happy, healthy client, I highly recommend Paul and Eastlake Performance, now at their brand new location.

Eastlake Performance is a great new personal training gym in Seattle! They have medballs, jam balls, rogue barbells/racks/plates, and the list goes on. When I started training with them I quickly learned their focus is biomechanics and making sure I wasn't out of alignment during basic exercises.
It was tough at first because it didn't feel like I was actually working out, but they kept assuring me that building a foundation was more important and would pay off. After a few weeks they started putting me through specified workouts and things started to ramp up much quicker.
Overall, I really enjoy working out at EP. The facility is clean, the trainers are not meat heads, and my cardio and strength has been getting so much better!

Paul is the man! He is so passionate about what he does and really tailors his programs to what you are looking to accomplish. My cousin is a very well know personal trainer on the east side and when I asked him who I should be training with in Seattle he didn't hesitate in recommending Paul.
